For the Mountain
Things were getting rough. Haldir had a hard time following Thranduil in his madness. Ever since he came back from LoriƩn, he seem more eager to get Sera bank. Haldir was honestly confused. Thranduil said that Sera was bluffing when she threatened him with her death and still marched on the mountain. Rumil was still angry and Orophin was still deciding on whether to be mad or not. He was always the slowest brother of the three.
Haldir road his horse beside Thranduil's mighty elk. Thranduil's cold blue eyes didn't once waver from the distant mountain. Even if trees obstructed his view, he would keep staring like he could see through the bark and trunk. Haldir could only hope Legolas would find his way to Erabor before they did.

Legolas dismounted at the ajar gate. It was quiet and only the sound of the wind blowing could be heard. The three men he had brought along were getting their weapons together and tying up their horses. Even though they were entering Mordor, he had no fear, but a feeling of hope. He senses light in the place of darkness.
"Let's go." Legolas ordered before moving forward. The Elves marched into Mordor with their bows draw and arrow in hand. Every once in awhile, an Orc would pounce out at them, but the Elves were faster to shoot it down. Legolas sighed as the fifth Orc showed up. Legolas doubt it was because something was ahead, but something told him to keep going. The other Elves encouraged him to head back, but he wished to reach an old structure. It looked to be made of old stone from Sauron's town.
As the group approached, they were quiet and careful. There was something there. Legolas stepped on rock that skipped out from up his foot and bounced a few feet away. It made an echoing thud causing something bigger to move. Legolas looked up to see a Fell Beast. Weren't all the Nazgul dead? He assumed the Fell Beasts died with their masters, but this one laid on the ground curled up in a ball.
The beast moved it's long neck to stare at the elves. It seemed distressed and scared before it jumped to it's feet. The Fell Beast lunged at them only to have the chain around it's neck tugging it back. It's cries echoed throughout Mordor and the elves worried it would bring attention to them
"What's wrong now?" A voice called from inside the structure. Legolas recognized the female voice and his eyes widened. The Fell Beast stopped it's fussing as the sound of moving chains on the ground came closer. A woman with long black hair stepped into the light in what looked to be dirty tunic, pants and bare feet. She pulled her hair back behind her pointed ear and revealed her face.
"Serethiel!" Serethiel's head snapped toward Legolas. She stared at him in disbelief.
"L-Legolas? Is that really you?" She questioned with tears in her eyes. Legolas nodded with a grin before rushing over to her. Serethiel tried to meet him half way, but the chain around her ankle kept her from rushing to him. Legolas' arms enveloped her before she broke out in sobs. He had never been so thankful to his father in his life! Pulling back from her, he looked into her eyes.
"What happened to you? How did you end up here?" He questioned while grinning like an idiot.
"There's no time for that! We have to save her!" She cried and Legolas frowned.
"Save who?"
"Your daughter!"

Sera helped the citizens of Dale into Erabor along with other soldiers. She helped an older woman into the lower chambers of the mountain then went to help the other people. Dain was up in the throne room looking after battle plans. Thranduil would be upon the horizon in the next few hours and Dain was ready. Archers were sharpening their arrows and the swordsmen were also sharpening their weapons.
Sera managed to get a few children inside before the gate closed. No one was left in town and she worried for the homes. Would they get destroyed? A little girl clutched to Sera while Sera carried her to the chamber for the citizens. Sera's hand ran up the little girl's back to comfort her. She was separated from her mother and Sera could relate to that.
"Are you going to fight in the battle?" The little girl asked softly while she hung on to Sera's neck.
"I don't think so. I'm not a fighter." Sera stated simply as she found herself staring into space. She entered the chamber and was greeted by the little girl's mother. She was a small thing that wore a blanket across her shoulders.
"Thank you, My Lady." She smiled before taking her daughter into her arms. Sera smiled back and turned to go to the gate. She wanted to see if Thranduil really wanted to go to war. She hoped he was coming to talk peace, but that was rare with Thranduil. She placed her had on the necklace that Dain gave her and took in a deep breath.
"This is going to end badly..." She whispered and ran up the stairs to ground level. Dwarves were running all over the place to get ready for battle. Sera looked all around for Dain only to see nothing. Sera got up to the wall over the gate and saw Dain was already outside with his army. He rode a boar proudly and Sera could only giggle. How fitting!
In the distance, Thranduil rode his elk in front of his own army. He wore silver armour with white robes and Haldir wore gold and red armour. He was really going to war! Sera didn't know what to do. Her first thought was to go to Thranduil and talk to him, but why would he listen? Sera rushed down to the stables and got on her horse.
She didn't have to time to put on a saddle and had to ride bareback. After putting on the bridle, she was able to get on with a stool before racing out of the mountain. Dwarves waited her race by and Dain even yelled after her.
"Lass, no!" He yelled, but she was already half way there. She squeezed her thighs against Gund's sides and slowed him to a trot. The elves didn't recognize her and pointed their swords at her. Thranduil put his hand up to tell them to back off as she clutched the reins.
"Please don't do this. If you back down, you can spare the lives of your men and Dain's men." She pleaded. Thranduil shook his head and looked to Dain who stood a few hundred yards away.
"This has gone on long enough and I will not let it go any further. You are either behind me or against me. I would pick the side your family is on." He said to her which brought her to what she said before. She threatened to kill herself, but she was a coward. She was scared to die. Sera didn't want to die and she was scared of what she would have to fight.
"Please... Don't do this!" She cried before sliding off Gund's back. She walked over to him and looked up. Thranduil looked away and sighed.
" 'Attack!' " He yelled. Sera gasped as she tugged on his robes.
"Please! Stop it! I have something you want!" She cried before pulling out the necklace Dain gave her. Thranduil's eyes widened. The necklace looked like it had put him in a trance. Dwarves raced toward them and he made his choice. His eyes went up to her's before he grabbed her by the back of her armoured vest. He tugged her up on to his elk in front of him before moving forward.
"Please! You're like a father to me! Don't do this!" Sera wasn't lying, she honestly thought of Thranduil as a father she never knew, but then again, she had no idea what it was like to have a father or even a mother. Thranduil ignored her and started to hack away at incoming dwarves. His blade slashed at their head and Sera could only close her eyes from the horror.
Hopeless. Why did she have to be so hopeless? Everyone around her bossed her around and she couldn't do anything about it! She ground her teeth together and allowed the tears to escape her eyes. If Thranduil takes over the mountain, the Dwarves will be force to leave! They would have nothing! The thought of the dwarves being homeless reminded her of being mugged and forgetting if she even had a home.
Sera pushed against Thranduil's arm to jump away. She landed on the ground with a thud before she sprinted away.
"Sera!" He called after her. Sera stopped and snapped her head back around. Did he finally call her Sera? Sera shook her head and continued to make a bee-line for Gund. If she couldn't stop the battle? What else could she do?
