Chapter 13 : Full of Watery Wonders
- POV : Lucy Heartfilia -
I walked with my head bowed down. Natsu passed by me, and he whispered. "Good luck." I smiled widely.
"And it's time for the president's speech." Max said and the room is filled with silence and my footsteps only echoed around the room as I walk.
And when I finally arrived at the microphone, I took a deep breath and I looked over at the audience.
"Good morning everyone, I am Lucy Heartfilia. And I am running for the position of President. I know, you must think that I am a new student in here, and don't know me well, but… I'll try my best to keep this school your best year before me and your new elected council will graduate from here. Please vote for me and also my fellow comrades, and we'll make your school year special. Remember to vote FAIRLY Party. Arigato and have a nice day." I go back to my seat and I heard many cheers for me.
"Go to your room assignments at 1 : 30 and whatever room you are, you will vote in there. And good afternoon." Max said and the students leave the auditorium.
We let the students let go out of the auditorium first and when we were about to go to the exit, Laxus and Cana blocked our way.
"Oh~ Ms Heartfilia will be my enemy during the election. What a shame!" Laxus came closer to me and use his thumb to make my face, facing to his.
"But even though we're enemies, I'll make sure that you will come to me."
Then someone pulled me away from him and his arms held over my waist.
"Don't ever do this to her again." Natsu said.
Laxus just smirked and walked away with Cana. And then he held on Cana's waist. I looked at Mira-san, who's her face is bowed down, shadow covers her face and you can feel the demon aura around her.
"M-Mira?" Erza patted her shoulder. And then her head slowly turned to Erza and she just smiled at Erza. "Shall we just go now?"
And I just noticed that Natsu was still holding on my waist and he also noticed and pulled his arm away. "Sorry. Let's just grab some lunch." He smirked.
I blushed and nodded. "Y-yeah."
^^ - - - 10 Minutes Later - - - ^^
We sat on the table outside the school.
"I was really nervous when I was at stage before! Good thing I keep my act good. And guys, do you believe that I would make a good president?" I asked.
"Of course! I'm sure that it's going to be fun this school year." Natsu said.
"Yes, it's because you're our sister! You're smart since we were kids!" Gray-nii and Loke-nii said.
Erza nodded. "You're fit to be the president."
"You're kind Lucy, that's one of the important traits of a good leader." Juvia said.
"We'll help you if you needed us!" Levy said while the others nodded. I tried to open my mouth to say for the right words, but I was speechless.
"A-arigato." I blushed.
"H-hey excuse me, Lucy-san?" A girl that looks like a grade 11 student came to me.
"Can I help you something?"
"I… We… My classmates, will vote for you and all FAIRLY Party members for the election."
I smiled. "Thank you."
^^ - - - 10 Minutes Later - - - ^^
We go inside the campus and went to our room assignments. I'm in the Math room together with the others that I know.
"Ok since everyone is here, let's begin our elections!" Macao-sensei said. And then handed us a paper which is already listed the name of the candidates and all you have to do is shade the circle beside the name.
^^ - - - 15 Minutes Later - - - ^^
"The results will be revealed tomorrow. Students may go now. Except for those who want to help in counting the votes. Candidates can't help." Sensei dismissed us and we decided to just go in the field and stay there. We enjoyed the fresh air coming to us. We all lay down on the grass and watched the skies above us.
"And now stop right there and let's go to Makarov's office now." We all sat up and saw Ms. Porlyusica.
"It is already finished?" Mira-san asked.
"Yeah and now I shall accompany you." She said and we followed. When we entered his office, Master was looking on his large window watching the beautiful view.
He turned around to see us and then the doors opened and we saw our rival team but except for Laxus and Cana.
"Since all of you are here, I will announce the winners."
-POV : Levy McGarden-
"Yeah just hurry up gramps." Gray said.
Master shook his head and cleared his throat. "The results are in. And I will call out who won the election when I call your names please step forward." We nodded.
"As for Assistant Business Manager, Gajeel Redfox." Gajeel step forward and we clapped for him.
"Business Manager, Nab Lasaro
"Assistant Auditor, Bisca Mulan
"Auditor, Mirajane Strauss
"Assistant Treasurer, Gray Fullbuster
"Treasurer, Jellal Fernandes
"Assistant Secretary, Juvia Lockser
"For secretary, goes to Levy McGarden."
"The vice President for girls is you Erza Scarlet." Our cheer became louder.
"And the vice president for boys, I can't believe it." Master murmured. "Natsu Dragneel."
"Yes!" Natsu said.
"And now, for the position of president school year 2017-2018." Master paused for awhile.
"Congratulations, Ms President, Lucy Heartfilia." Lu-chan gasped and we cheered loud for her. Me and the other girls hugged her. I can saw tears in the corner of her eyes and her smile glowed.
"And that's the newly elected set of Senior High School Council Department Officers." Master said.
Lucy put her finger in her chin. "Master, I think we should shorten the name to Senior High Republic."
"Ah~ You're right. And you'll make new rules for this department Lucy, if you could." Master said.
-POV : Lucy Heartfilia-
"Hai! I will! But give me some time I might be able to finish it in a week."
"As you wish."
"And Master I'm thinking of renovation of this building."
"Is that so, well everyone please leave this room." And then everyone leave the room.
"Lucy do you have any design for the school?"
"I was thinking more like a modern design that looks like a design of a skyscraper. Don't worry Master, I'll draw the design and give it to you if I'm finished." I said.
"Ah and about the inside of it?"
And we kept talking about the renovation of the school for about thirty minutes…
-POV : Natsu Dragneel-
When we leave the room, we just stand in the hallways waiting for Lucy to come out. But one by one, they all go home because they have decided to make the school rules so that they would help her. But after thirty minutes, it's just me, Jellal, Gray, Levy and Juvia who are left. Then the doors opened revealing Lucy to have a stern expression in her face.
"Lu-chan!" Levy came to her.
And then she sighed heavily. "I have to work hard for this kind of responsibility."
"Well I understand but, Lucy can we talk?" Juvia said to her. "And come with me Jellal and Levy." They nodded and followed her all the way to the rooftop.
"Psst… Natsu."
"What?"
"Let's follow them."
"Why?"
"I've noticed Juvia since morning like she was gonna cry and I wanted to know something."
"Fine, fine I'll go with you." Then we sneak into the rooftop. And when we arrived there, we saw Juvia crying in Jellal's arms and while the two other girls comforted her. I looked over at Gray who is his face expression doesn't like seeing Juvia like this…
"Gray? What are we gonna do now?"
He just kept silent for a minute and spoke. "Let's listen to what Juvia is gonna say."
-POV : Juvia Lockser-
The three of them followed me to the rooftop. And when I stepped in there I fell to my knees and cried. Suddenly Jellal hugged me and Lucy and Levy comforted me.
"Shhh Juvia, it'll be alright." Jellal said.
"Juvia, tell us now." Lucy said.
"Shhhh… Juvia be quiet now." Levy said.
I sobbed. "It hurts…" Jellal let go of her and we all faced her.
"When I was young…"
^^ - - - Flashback When I Was Seven Years Old - - - ^^
When I was young, me, mom and dad often goes somewhere, we travelled many places together. And I really love that, he really took good care of us.
"Dad! The animals in the zoo where amazing! Can we go there again?" I asked.
"Of course we will! Next week then."
"Yehey! You're the best dad in the world!" I cheered. Mom laughed.
"Let's eat somewhere now, I getting hungry." Mom said.
"Hai!"
^^ - - - Flashback Three Years Ago - - - ^^
But one summer day, at our living room, I was going downstairs, but until when I heard mom and dad arguing...
"Kris! Do you have another woman?" Jennifer Lockser, screamed at Kris Lockser, Juvia's father.
"I don't have Jennifer!"
"But what did I heard from the streets? I heard that another woman was pregnant because of you!"
"What? I do not have another woman!" Dad said in defense.
"Ohh is that so? Why don't you just admit it huh? They even gave me a picture of you and her in the park the other day!" Mom showed him a picture. I also looked at it from afar and my eyes widened as I saw a woman who is likely mom's age who has a big stomach and dad sitting on a bench.
Dad's eyes widened. "So spill it out already." Mom said.
"I-I... I'm sorry..." Dad bowed his head infront of mom. I cried quietly. No... This can't be...
I went to my room and cried in there. Then the doors opened revealed to be dad.
"Juvia dear, please talk to me..."
"No dad, please go away now, I wanted to be... Alone."
"But-"
"No! Please, I wanted to be alone! You know how painful it is? I looked up to you! But now looked on what you have done..."
"I understand. If you wanted to be alone... Then... *SIGH*" He leave my room. "Good bye." He muttered. Later I fell asleep in my bed.
And when I woke up the next morning, at breakfast me and mom become quiet.
"Juvia, he left us last evening..."
"Ohh... Mom?"
"Yes?"
"Do you plan on divorcing?"
"Well yes... I will." Then we become quiet again.
"I'm disappointed in him..." I said sadly.
"Yeah...But we will forget him, but not the memories we have with him. Do we have a deal Juvia?" Mom said.
"Yes. Mother."
^^ - - - After Many Months - - - ^^
It was a rainy and gloomy afternoon. I was looking out of the window inside our living room, depressed. I remember the days I was with dad with a weather like this... Then a knock I heard on our door.
"Who is it?" I asked but no reply. I opened the door and looked left to right, but saw no one. I looked down to see a basket.
I get it and open the cloth that covers the basket, I gasped and saw a baby boy inside it.
"Mom!" I closed the door and then she came to me.
"What is it Juvi?"
"Look what I found." I handed her the basket and we sat on the couch.
"A baby?" Mom held him in her arms. The baby yawn and slept again. I scanned the basket and saw a letter.
I read it aloud :
Dear Lockser Family,
This baby is a son of Kris Lockser and the woman you saw before... But she died because of blood loss during his son's birth... But please be kind and take care of his son for her.
Thank you very much.
"What are we gonna do?"
Mom looked at the baby she was holding. "He's innocent, and... We should take care of him." Mom smiled. I smiled back. I'm lucky to have a mother like her...
^^ - - - This Early Morning - - - ^^
Me, Jonathan and mom ate our breakfast and Levy already go home yesterday, because her parents didn't have a vacation for a week.
Our silent morning was disturbed by the opening our door. We looked if who it was and my eyes widened to see him...
"Jennifer! I will take my two children with me!" Dad said and we stood up, my little brother came to me and hugged me.
"Onii-chan, who is he?" I carried him.
"I am your father."
"Kris! Don't take them away from me! Juvia get in the car now."
"Juvia, you know how much I miss you." Dad said.
It pains me that I just ignored him and we kept walking through to the door and we ride the car by our driver, leaving mom and dad aruging.
^^ - - - End Of Flashback - - - ^^
"That's what happened..." I hugged to my knees.
"I see... Your father wants you and your brother to live with him..." Lucy said.
"Yes..." I still hugged my knees and cried quietly.
"Juvia, I think you shouldn't go with that old man." Gray's voice said to me. I blushed I looked up to see him.
"...Gray...?" Then he bowed down to me.
"Don't leave either me or anyone here! We need you... Juvia."
"G-Gray..." I hugged him. I heard him gasped.
"Arigato..." I whispered. Then he hugged me back. Five forty-seven in the afternoon, I realized how many people cared for me... And I'm not going to leave them like that!
-POV : Natsu Dragneel-
I was smiling the way Gray acted. You did the right thing...
After that, me and Lucy decided to walk all the way home. Then we passed a pet shop. Lucy paused t look at the shop and she was staring at something.
"Lucy?"
She looked at me. "Uh it's nothing Natsu..."
"... Do you want that puppy right?"
*SIGH* "Haahhh... Yes... I can't help it it's so kawaii~" Her eyes sparkled.
"I think I can help with that." I entered the store.
"M-Matte!" Lucy followed after me. She cling on my arm. "What are you doing?" She whispered.
I went to the counter and the owner welcomed us.
"Welcome to the pet shop sir! May I help you?"
"I want to buy that white puppy over there." I pointed where it was. The owner gets it.
"Good timing it's 30% off discount! Buy it for your lovely girlfriend!"
I looked over at Lucy who just blushed and let go of my arm. "I'll buy it."
And then I gave my money and bought the puppy. "Hey Natsu!" I heard Lyon.
"Oh Lyon! Long time no see! What are you doing here?"
"Just helping out my uncle!"
"Ok. I must go home now. Ja ne~" I said and we walked out of the shop.
"W-wait! Are you Gray and Loke's sister?" Lyon asked.
"Yes. Sorry I haven't introduce. I'm Lucy Heartfilia."
"I'm Lyon Vastia. Nice to meet you."
"Yes, yes, let's go now Luce!"
"Bye Lyon!" We said in unison to him while he just waved at us.
"So what are you going to name it?"
"Hmmm?" Lucy raised Plue up and she think.
"I think I'm gonna it, Plue." She smiled.
"That's a good name." I showed her thumbs up. And continue to walk under the beautiful sunset going home...
July 6, 2017, I just bought Lucy a white puppy. A puppy that she named Plue. I bought this to her to keep her company even when I'm gone.
*SIGH* It was already 9 in the evening and I'm not feeling well, maybe it's my sickness... No, I must keep on, I must SURVIVE this sickness... *Cough cough* I drink my medicines.
"Happy... I must survive this sickness... Just another three months and I'll be okay..." I patted his head.
"Meow." And we both slept.
