Nick and Judy have been assigned the task to find a sex offender, who has been reported abusing a child in his home. The more they uncover his background and where he got the child, they find themselves in the midst of a nationwide pedophile ring, that traffics children not just to citizens, but to big government officials and members.

14. Chapter 14

Chapter 14 - I Hate You

Judy was screaming non-stop at the tragedy in front of her eyes. Her siblings, both big and small, were being smothered to ashes. She saw the body's of her parents laying were the kitchen was. Nick had called 911, and soon medics, police officers, and firefighters showed up.

Nick watched as the thick water from the hoses obliterated the fire into nothing. Judy was sitting on the ground, a blanket wrapped around her, as two police officers were trying to ask her questions while at the same time getting her to calm down. He approached Judy and gently placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Carrots...?" He said softly.
Judy turned around and punched him hard in the face, causing him to step back a bit. She was standing up now; her face was filled with rage and tears. She ran towards Nick and started scratching and hitting him. "YOU SON OF A BITCH! THIS IS ALL YOU'RE FAULT YOU STUPID GODDAMN FOX! FUCK YOU! YOU BASTARD!" Nick's nose and lip started to bleed as Judy rammed her fist over and over again into his face. The two cops tried there best to hold Judy back. "LET GO OF ME!" Judy shouted. They slowly let go of Judy as she started to calm down. But out of nowhere, Judy took the gun out of one of the cop's holster and fired at Nick. The bullet skidded the top of Nick's head, which caused him to fall to the ground. They tackled Judy to the ground and shoved her into the police car.

Nick laid there, his head bleeding, his eyes wide, his mind filled with shock, and his will to live all gone...
