Hey guys! How are you? Sounds good ;) This time I'm thanking three people for reviewing: rubberduckybugati, Tari Oronra and Charlotte of Sandydowns. I love you guys! :* Anyway, chapter...

Waking up the next morning, Legolas only wanted to talk to Tauriel and explain to her that what had happened at the party hadn't been anything serious. It was too much to hope that she loved him back, but he just wanted to let her know that he hadn't meant for Meleth to appear. And he most certainly hadn't meant for her to start flirting him. 'If I get that leech in my hands I'll show her what I'm really like!' he thought.

Tauriel must have woken up because she wasn't in the room anymore. Legolas sighed and got up. He put on a tunic and a pair of leggings and pulled on his boots. He walked into the Dining Hall where his father was eating breakfast. For the first time in all his life, Legolas didn't complain about the food or milk. He just sat down and started eating it.

Thranduil looked up at him. "What happened?" he asked. Legolas looked up from his food. "Nothing." he said quietly and looked down again.

"Legolas, I am your father! I know when you're in a very bad mood. Tell me what's wrong."

"It's just this girl at the party last night. I think she partly ruined my friendship with Tauriel." 'He will murder me if I tell him I'm in love with Tauriel!' he thought. He felt bad to lie at his father, but he didn't have a choice.

"I don't think so. Maybe it's just a misunderstanding." Thranduil suggested.

"She ran away from me last night Ada!" Legolas complained "She was crying and in the morning she didn't even tell me good morning, she got up and left without me knowing and she hasn't come back here! She hates me!" he choked the last words out as tears began pouring down his face.

Thranduil got up and went to his son, placing his hands on his shoulders. He didn't recall his son crying like this about anything. Was his friendship with Tauriel so important? "Calm down!" he said trying to comfort him "You'll fix everything." He must have said something wrong, because Legolas got up and without even turning around to look at his father left the room. Thranduil sighed. Sometimes children were a bit too hard to understand. He wished his wife was still alive. He wished that every day, but right now she would know what to do to comfort her son, while he didn't.

Legolas ran out of the Palace. He needed to be alone, without his Ada, without Tauriel, without anyone! He knew exactly where he was going to go. Whenever he went there, it helped clear his mind and then he always knew what to do. He walked for a few minutes until he reached the bushes. He pushed them aside and walked into his clearing. He breathed in the sweet smell of the air. It always smelt sweet there, because of all the trees and flowers. He walked further in.

Then he heard what sounded like sobbing. It was coming from the trees. He walked underneath them trying to find the source of the crying. He gasped. There, sitting up in a tree was Tauriel. Legolas wondered how she knew about this place but then remembered that 200 years ago he had taken her here to comfort her after her parents' death. As soon as they made eye contact, she wiped away her tears.

"Mani naa lle umien?" he asked her. Tauriel simply shrugged. Legolas began climbing the tree.

"Avo!" Tauriel said. He climbed back down.

"Tula sinome." he said trying to be as nice as he could.

"Ú" she answered.

Legolas sighed. "I need to talk to you! Please!" he all but begged. Tauriel seemed hesitant, but finally climbed down the tree. As soon as her foot touched the ground, she started to cry again. Maybe it was his eyes. They had enchanted her just like they had that night at the party.

"I need to talk to you too." she admitted. Legolas led her to the side of the river. He removed his boots and put his feet in the water. "Try it." he told her. Tauriel took her boots off and put her feet in the river as well. It felt cool and relaxing. "I want to tell you that there's nothing going on between me and that elleth at the party last night." he started saying "Her father is just rich and she's like a leech sticking to everyone richer than her! She isn't like you! You're nice, funny and my little sister. No one can replace you Tauriel!" He left out the part of her being so beautiful and that he loved her.

Tauriel knew she should be grateful of what she was hearing, but she couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed that he had called her his little sister. He was like her big brother, but now she also thought that he was handsome and polite and everything she'd ever want in an ellon. "You're not interested in her?" she asked.

"Not as a friend, not romantically, not in any way!" he assured her. He put his hand inside his pocket, and touched her necklace. It was the one she had worn to the party and he had found on the floor. He wanted to give it back to her, but at the same time he wanted to keep it, to treasure it. It was like something of hers he could have with him when he needed her and she wasn't there. Something to remind him of the night he had fallen for her.

He took his hand out of the pocket and slowly put it in water. He brought it back out splashing water on her. Tauriel squealed and then splashed his as well. Soon, they were pushing each other into the river laughing. They finally got out, soaking wet, and lay on the grass next to each other, smiling. "So," Tauriel said "We're friends and no one will separate us!"

"Friends forever!" Legolas agreed and shook her hand. The moment reminded him of when they had become friends. Then, they laughed and lay down again.

It felt good to have made up, but both thought the same thing 'Friends for now!'
