Jeez I am super duper sorry about not updating the last 4-5 weeks. I have had many school projects as well as many events on the weekends that didn't allow me to be able to either write nor update for the period of time. I do have my semester finals this week, but I will try my best to be able to update next Sunday evening. But nonetheless, I hope you forgive me and my faults and enjoy the chapter!
"Come one! Come all! Watch as brave men fight to win the favor of this fair maiden!" says a man, holding flyers and advertising the event. I have shifted my sheath so that the handle sits on the back of my right shoulder. I look to my right and see a lady herding her chickens, while a child is selling fruit from a stand, many hands holding money. A glance to my left reveals houses that made our simple abode look like a luxurious mansion. The sand and ggravel crunch under my feet as I walk down the street. I find the booth, two people behind it. I fill out the form under an alias name, of course. I turn the form in, marking the box stating 1 vs. all, and leave quietly. I look around the market for a blacksmith. I managed to keep the emeralds after Herobrine killed me, and I paid for a helmet, specially made to cover my face. The smith confirms the look for the helmet and proceeds to his work. I leave to get a look at the arena. I find a touring guide that takes me on a personal tour through the stadium. I look down to the field, and immedietly notice how massive it truly is. It has a bit of everything, small hills, deserts, small forests, other biomes. I pretty much ignore the tour guide for the most part until she starts to talk about the field itself. "The participants are thrown into a massive arena, and are forced to kill each other with whatever they have. The prize for winning is usually pretty well worth it, though this year I'm not so sure. The people who can actually afford to spectate the game from this arena can see where players are on a mini version of the real arena." I look at the 'arena', "So where to the participants meet?" I don't bother asking about the 1 vs. all option that I checked off. "They meet back at the booth, I know that much, but after that, I have no clue." She paused, "Oh! I almost forgot to tell you, last year's winner had used a special technique that allowed him to regrow limbs that had been severed. The king later banned any healing potions, spells, stuff like that." She added. We finish the tour and it is becoming nighttime, I go back to the booth. "Last call for participants!" I look around at the crowd around me, all wearing armor, sharpening blades and such. I see the blacksmith that I talked to earlier today. "Here is your helmet, sir. " he presents me with the helmet, and I put it on, ready to win me a battle.
We are transported to an arena. A booming voice coming from horribly built redstone speakers says, "We have one contestant who wishes to face you all. Do keep in mind you are fighting for your lives, for the favor of a fair maiden. Would the contestant Hugh Jass- wait, oh well, would they identify themselves so that everyone may know whom they are attacking." I step to the front of the about 200 men, who are all better armored than I am, but do not stand a chance against the Legend sword. I pull the blade from the sheath across my back. The booming voice comes back, "3…...2…..1…..BEEEEGGGIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" I block the first projectile coming in- a knife, with my sword. A man stupidly runs behind me, screaming with his blade poised to strike. I turn and effectively punch him about 20 blocks back, knocking a few men over. Before the next three targets have a chance to react, I've cut major arteries that were weak points in their armor. I quickly stab the Legend blade through a stomach of a man, and pull it back out, spin to my right and bring an axe chop through the next target's chestplate, that is- well now was- made of diamonds. I start walking over to a group of ten men who are meekly holding their swords, but staying in a formation. I then hear a person trying to sneak up on me. I turn around, and sheathe my sword, "I'm tired of fighting with my swords, why don't you keep your blades, and I'll fight you with just my fists." the man then pulls a knife out, "What arre you?" he asks. "A human, just like you." He tries for a quick jab a me with the knife, and a grab his wrist, extending his arm so it is straight. I proceed to sonic punch his elbow, rendering his arm useless. He is now crying out in pain, rather loudly, so I put him out of his misery with blunt force trauma. Poor man, I feel bad, but I had to do what I had to because fear will be my biggest ally in here. Accusations of muutant and other obsceneties fly at me as I walk away. I yell so that I'm heard over the commotion, "Who's next?" The crowd shuts up. A man walks forward, "me, the mighty Bob Mcboberton of the Kingdom that is so Far Away From Anywhere, so we Gave it a Rendundant Name Kingdom. Master of the sword, expert on hand to hand combat. I'll see to it that you'll do your worst." We draw our blades, and begin attacking and parrying. Finally I cut his sword in half, and he stares in shock, "That was the best sword that was ever made the man who made it said that only the - YOU! YOU! WE ARE ALL DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!" He screams on and on unintellegeble words, until, "Only the Legendary Sword could cut that sword. And the Hero would hold that sword, along with collected mob essences."
Suddenly four figures fly down from the sky and flew around the stadium. I shouldn't say flew, because I watched them carefully as they were teleporting around. It seemed that they were fading in and out of existence. Suddenly, I get punched in the jaw really hard. I get shoved back really hard flying into a tree. The legend sword is where I was before I got shoved. To avoid getting hit, I started teleporting around. On my first teleport, I don't fully come back into existence before I am thrown by a 'teleporter'. Three of them already stand before me, "Pathetic mortals trying to control what is rightfully ours? Bah. And you? Thinking of where you teleporting to only announces your intent to everybody who has the ability to teleport." I look down towards where the men from the competition are, I see the man who held the sword I broke earlier sheath the Legend sword. I feel a kick as it comes into contact with my face, " Since we are going to kill you, I may as well introduce myself. I am Bob, leader of the Mobs Against Heroes, Humans, and Just About Everything Else That Lives, or MAHHJAEETL. We give our abilities to everyone else in the group, just in case you were wondering why the zombie was able to teleport." He pulls out a blue blade, similar to mine, but the aura surrounding it was black. The others pull out other sharp objects of their choosing. "HERO! HERE!" I turn in time to see the Legend sword glinting in the sun as it flew through the air. I get up to my knees, quickly punch the ground to send a shockwave to stun my new-found enemies. I grab the blade and stab two of them before they can get away. The leader, and one henchmen get away from me. I fade out existence, without a thought in my mind and open my eyes to see a strange world where all movement is stopped, except for two figures running away. I let them go to teleport down to where the men are. I sheath my sword. They all stare at me as I fade back into existence. We all then hear a booming voice, "STOP! The winner is Hugh Jass," I breathe a huge sigh of relief.
I am taking off my helmet as I see my prize has come to me. The guards are barely able to contain her thrashing about. I put my helmet back on my head when the leader comes in to formally present the prize. "I give you your prize for winning a rather unusual game, here is the fair maiden. Congrats." Cupa looks at me with pure hatred. I walk up to her and give her a kiss on the lips, she recoils at first, but then relaxes into the kiss. When we are done kissing, she says, "I'd know that kiss anywhere John." I shush her, "Call me Hugh until I get us out of this wretched place." She nods, but we go back to kissing.
