Chp 14

(A lil Jessica/OC?)

"I hate to break it to you, but I don't wanna be stuck here", said Stan.

"Yeah, let's go back to Mr. Compton's house", said Emrys. He grabbed Stan's shoulder and they teleported back there. The minute the two arrived, they smelled blood. "Stan, restrain yourself", Emrys warned him.

Stan tried his best, seeing Hoyt's mother on the floor and two holes in her neck with blood trickling outta it. "I'm trying here, Sheriff", he said.

Hoyt and Jessica were yelling before he went to check on his mother. Jessica looked guilty and Hoyt grabbed his mother and walked out as Emrys and Stan made way for them. Jessica sunk to the floor, bloody tears and a curling scream coming from her.

"I'll be outside, Sheriff", said Stan before stepping out.

"People make mistakes, but it takes other people some strength to forgive such mistakes", said Emrys.

"I didn't mean to. She said bad things about me…, and Hoyt", said Jessica.

"You should hear what they were saying about me", said Emrys. He walked over to Jessica and offered his hand, which she took. Emrys helped her up and wiped the blood tears away.

"When I heard, I feel like it's impossible because…, Bill said Eric was 1000 years old", said Jessica. She touched his face and looked awed.

"My grandpa was 2000 years old. My grandma was the descendant of Merlin. She has the power of light and somehow, she can have children with vampires like my grandpa. Hence, my mother inherited her power", said Emrys.

"Can you have babies?", she asked.

Emrys shrugged. "Never try. Wanna find out?", he asked. He's gotta admit, he does sound like Eric every now and then.

Jessica giggled, feeling a little better. "You wouldn't wanna do with me. I can't", she said.

"I…, understand your problem. Maybe there's a way to pop the cherry?", said Emrys. Jessica gave him a look of hope, but she turned away. Emrys felt like he said the wrong words. "Look I'm sorry if I said something to offend you", he said.

"It's not that", said Jessica.

"It's ok, you can think about it. My offer still opens", said Emrys. He was about to walk out when Jessica stopped him.

"You mind staying here? Sun will be up soon", she said.

"You got a spare coffin? I don't need one, but Stan does", said Emrys.

"You can walk in the sun?", she asked.

"I can. I can't die by the True Death, but if you stake me, I could die and silver hurts like hell. I don't really sleep. Ever since my mum died, I just couldn't", said Emrys.

"Yeah, we got spare coffin", she said.

"I'm gonna head down to see the party. Would you be ok on your own?", asked Emrys. He had to ring Isabel first before she retired for the day.

"I'm scared", she said.

"We can't take her with us, Sheriff. It's too dangerous. Is mama goose not enough and there's more of them out there?", said Stan.

"We'll come back, don't worry", said Emrys. Jessica nodded, agreeing with them.

Emrys dialed the number. "Is, how things are doing there?", he asked.

"So far so good, how's Bon Temps?", said Isabel.

"Not so good. Do me a favour, could you find me everything you know about Maenads before you head in the coffin? I think that's what's causing such a chaos here", said Emrys.

"I'll see what I can find in the library later", said Isabel.

"Thanks, Is, but don't stay up too late", said Emrys.

Isabel chuckled and Emrys can feel her rolling her eyes. "Yes, Sheriff", she said before hanging up.

Bill walked out and stumbled upon Eric. "What are you doing here?", he asked.

"Hoping the queen knows how to kick some Maenad's ass", said Eric.

"Now why would you want to do that? So you can look like a hero? To Sookie or to your son?", asked Bill again.

Eric somewhat pretended to not hear what Bill said. Sookie told Bill that before the explosion, she sensed that Eric was about to run to her and 'protect' her; possibly tricking her into sucking his blood, but since Emrys accidentally revealed himself, that plan never worked.

"Why? Did she mention me?", asked Eric.

"Oh, that was really quite desperate of you. Your mate just passed a few weeks ago, and now you're looking for someone to fill in the emptiness or just someone to feed on?", said Bill.

"At least, I asked Godric for her hand. Unlike you, feeding her your blood the night you met her", said Eric.

"How did you know that?", Bill growled.

"So, you're not denying it?", asked Eric.

"I was trying to save her!", said Bill.

"Isn't that convenient?", said Eric.

"You stay away from Sookie, Eric or I will be forced to tell the queen you've been forcing human to sell vampire blood for you", said Bill.

"You wouldn't", said Eric.

"Or what? You know, instead of telling Her Majesty, maybe I should tell…, I dunno, the new Area 9 Sheriff?", said Bill and he feel relinquished to see Eric flinched a little.

"I don't like threats, Bill", said Eric.

"Neither do I. Stay away from Sookie, maybe I won't tell your son about what you did", said Bill before walking away.
