Greetings my readers! I am back with an exciting new chapter! Just to remind you all, this chapter may be a bit cliché, but it will have a meaning towards the end of the chapter. With that said, let us start this chapter!

Chapter 11

Weeks have passed since Raizen started to attend at Happy Harbor High. Apparently, he was already a celebrity since his fight with Jackson. Every once a while, he would get a few high-fives, which at the time Raizen had no idea what it means until Superboy told him. There hasn't been a mission that has been given to The Team. But today was an odd day. The only people who were present were Zatanna and Raizen. While the rest of The Team was out on another mission, Zatanna decided to relax.

But then the computer said "Recognize: Dr. Fate."

When she heard Dr. Fate's name, she immediately made her way to the briefing room where the sorcerer was waiting. Once Zatanna was with him, Dr. Fate looks at her and said "Zatanna Zatara, are you the only one here?"

Zatanna replied "No, Raizen is here. Do you need something?"

Dr. Fate then said "I need your assistance."

When Zatanna was about to reply, Dr. Fate raised his right hand and a flash of light appeared. As the light died, something appeared in his hand. From the looks of it, it looks like a small black box with a red gem on the top.

Confused with this, Zatanna said "And this is?"

Dr. Fate replied "I have reason to believe that this box contains the spirit of Nella."

Zatanna's eyes widen and said "Nella?! As in THE Nella?! As in the Spirit of All Life and Light?! How did you find her?!"

Dr. Fate replied "When I was in a battle with Klarion the Witch Boy in his lair, I have found an unusual source of magic and it led me to this box. As I look up on how to open the box, I found out that it requires two magic-users to open the box while someone enters the box and releases her."

"I get it," Zatanna said, "So you need me to help you open the box?"

As Dr. Fate nodded, he said "And since Raizen's skills are beyond that of a normal person, he will be the perfect subject to enter the box and release her."

Uneasy, Zatanna said "Are you sure you want him? I mean…true that he is strong and all, but…"

Out of nowhere, a voice said "But what?"

Alerted, when Zatanna turns around, she saw Raizen wearing his Saiyan Armor. Raizen then said "What are you two talking about?"

Dr. Fate replied "We require your assistance in freeing a spirit that dwells inside this box."

As he held out the box, Raizen said "What kind of spirit is it?"

Zatanna replied "The spirit is named Nella, the Spirit of All Life and Light. Some stories says that it her that created life into all life. Many have sought her for power, but none ever succeeded."

"Until now," Raizen said as he turns to Dr. Fate, "So you plan to use her?"

Dr. Fate shook his head and said "Once we release her, then I will take her somewhere safe."

Raizen thought about it and said "Alright, what do I have to do?"

Dr. Fate said "Once me and Zatanna here began the spell to open the box, it is up to you to go inside the box and find her. But be warn, Klarion will have put unknown dangers inside Nella's prison. So be prepared for anything."

When Raizen cracked his neck and rolled his arms, he said "Alright, open it and let me in."

Once Dr. Fate and Zatanna nodded, Dr. Fate levitated the box and places it in between him and Zatanna. He then looks at her and said "Now, repeat what I say."

As Zatanna nodded, the two of them raised their hands towards the box and began to chant some words. All of a sudden, both Dr. Fate's and Zatanna's eyes glowed white as the box slightly opened. Just as things got complicated, Raizen's body started to twitch, and in matter of seconds, he was sucked into the box!

Focusing his eye sight, Raizen was finally starting to see things clearly and saw that he was in a whole new world. But unlike any other world he has been in, this one was…dead. This world almost looks like a dessert wasteland that had grey grounds and the sky was the same color as the ground. As he looks around, he tries to find this Nella person and get out.

Suddenly, Raizen remembered something and said "Wait a minute…how the hell am I going to get out when I find this Nella person?!"

Just as things couldn't get any worse, the ground began to crack and a giant creature emerged from the ground. From the looks of them, they look like a stone golem that has only one eye. Raizen huffed and said "This is the danger Dr. Fate warned me about? Please."

As he raised his hands and readies to fire his blasts, nothing happened. Trying to use his powers again, nothing happened. Realizing that he is not using his powers, Raizen shouted "Son of a bitch! That bastard forgot to mention that this place strips me of my powers!"

When he looks back at the golem, he said "I am going to kill him."

Once he said that, the golem charged at him. Knowing that he has to rely on his strength, he waited for it to be near. Once it was near them, Raizen delivered a powerful punch into the golem's chest. Instead of breaking the golem, Raizen's fist started to hurt, pulled away and wraps his other hand around it.

"What the hell?!" Raizen shouted, "Not even my…"

At that moment, the golem swings his left fist and lands a powerful blow across Raizen's face, sending him flying across the field. When he landed to the ground hard, Raizen moaned in pain and said "How the fuck am I going to do this without powers?"

After Raizen got up, the golem roared and three more stone golems appeared. Raizen moaned and said "Alright, think. How am I going to survive this time?"

As the golems charged at Raizen, there was only one way Raizen could do in situations like these. Taking a deep breath, and when the golems were close, Raizen turns around and starts running away. Despite being a Saiyan and it is forbidden to run away from a battle, there are exceptions when a Saiyan can run. And losing your powers for no apparent reason is one of them.

"I can't believe I am running away from a battle!" Raizen said, "This can't get any worse!"

Raizen didn't know what else to do, but this was the only choice. After a few minutes of running, Raizen looks back to see the golems already gone. Stopping, Raizen took a deep breath and relaxed a bit. As he leans on a stone wall, the ground started to shake. Being prepared for anything, something emerged from the ground. From the looks of it, it looked like a giant grey snake with yellow eyes. When it looked at Raizen, it charged towards it with it's mouth ready to devour him.

Raizen whined and said "Oh come on!"

As the snake was close, Raizen was ready to roll out of the way. All of a sudden, there was a faint voice that was singing some sort of lullaby. Raising an eyebrow, Raizen looks around to see where the voice was coming from. Forgetting about the snake, when Raizen turns back to the snake, he gave off a confused look as he sees the snake moving side to side. In a matter of seconds, the snake fell to the ground and fell asleep.

"What the hell?" Raizen asked in a confused way.

Suddenly, the voice said in a nervous way "W-Who are you?"

When Raizen looks back, he saw a young woman with long blonde hair, pale skin and blue eyes. She was wearing rags all over her body and had dirt in her arms, legs and face. Gathering his thoughts, Raizen said "My name is Raizen. And you are?"

As the girl was about to say something, she stopped and said "I-I don't remember."

"Huh," Raizen said, "So, how long have you been here?"

The girl thought and replied "I forgot. Please, help me."

When Raizen looks around, he knew that he couldn't just leave this girl here alone. Raizen sighed and said "Alight, but stay close to me. Hell knows how many creatures are in this realm."

He then looks at her and said "And how did you do put that snake to sleep with a song?"

The girl shrugged and said "I have been doing it for a while. It has helped me so far."

"Whatever you say," Raizen said, "You know, if you don't remember your name, can I call you…Gia?"

The girl thought about it and said "Better than nothing. We should head out before that snake wakes up."

"Yeah, we should," Raizen said as he and Gia began to walk away from the giant snake.

As they were walking while being alerted, Gia looks at Raizen and said "Just who are you? And why you are here?"

Raizen looks at her and said "I am a Saiyan, a race of powerful beings. I am here to find Nella."

"Nella?" Gia asked, "I have never heard of them."

"Are you serious?" Raizen asked, "So that lame-ass sorcerer bought me here for nothing! What the hell?! I can't even use my powers!"

Gia gave him a confused look and said "This place will strip you of your powers."

"Are you kidding me?!" Raizen yelled, "So all of my abilities are gone as long as I am here?!"

Gia thought about it and said "Of course."

As Raizen grunted, he feels like the two of them have been walking for hours. For some reason, he felt like something was wrong. He needed to find this Nella spirit and get them and Gia out of this place. He then stops and said "Okay, this is getting us nowhere."

Raizen turns to Gia and said "Do you happen to know a way out?"

Gia shook her head and said "No, I don't."

"Great," Raizen said as he looks around, "There has to be a way out of this place."

After a moment of silence, Gia said "So…how did you get in this place?"

Raizen looks at her and replied "A sorcerer who goes by the name of Dr. Fate who brought me here to free this Nella. But I end up encountering you."

He then said "If I can't find this Nella, then let's escape this place."

All of a sudden, there was a spine-chilling laugh that roared in the sky. When Raizen heard this, he got into his fighting stance. As he looks over at Gia, she was trembling in fear. Just as Raizen was about to ask, the voice then said "What have we here? An intruder who thinks he can find Nella."

Shocked to hear this, Raizen looks up in the sky and said "And how did you know about that?!"

The voice replied "What else would you be here? And from the looks of you, you had help."

"Just how are you?!" Raizen asked.

All of a sudden, a giant black cloud appeared in this sky with two red eyes looking at him. The voice then said "I am Klavak: Master of Darkness. Klarion has put me inside this realm to watch over Nella and to make sure that he uses her magic for his purposes."

Raizen said "And now Nella isn't part of this witch boy's purpose. So let her go!"

Klavak laughed and said "So long as she is in this realm, I'm afraid she cannot leave."

Irritated by the answer, Raizen said "And why the hell not?!"

Klavak replied "She is the embodiment of all light and it sickens me! Darkness is my nature and it is more powerful that her pitiful light. So keeping her in her weaken state while in this realm will keep my powers fresh."

"Not for long!" Raizen said, "Tell me where she is or I swear to god I will kill you!"

Klavak laughed and said "How? You are defenseless in this realm! It strips you of your powers and leaves you helpless!"

Right before Raizen was going to say something, Klavak said "And besides, she has been with you the whole time."

Raizen's eyes widen and said "That's impossible, the only person who is with me is…"

He stopped mid-sentence before he turns to Gia, who was on the floor, curled up in a ball while whispering "Please…Please leave me alone."

Raizen then looks up at Klavak and said "Don't tell me that…"

Klavak laughed and said "That's right! The girl who you call Gia is really Nella!"

"But…" Raizen said, "How is that possible?"

Klavak replied "One of the fun things that I have done to her is erase her memories and left her mind broken. Now I left her wondering with my creatures in hopes that they consume her."

He then gritted and said "Unfortunately, some of her powers remained intact and somehow avoided my creatures' advances."

Raizen then said "Her singing was saving her all this time."

Klavak then said "And now that the two of you are here, I will eliminate you right here and now!"

At that moment, a couple of golems emerged from the ground and surrounded Raizen and Gia. As Raizen stood in front of Gia, or in this case Nella, he grips his fists and prepares to attack. When Gia saw this, she said "Don't…you can't…"

Raizen hushed her by saying "Nella, you have to remember who you are."

Not understanding him, Gia said "But…I am not…"

When Raizen was about to say something, a golem rushed up to Raizen and swings its right fist. The impact made a clear hit towards Raizen's face and sends him flying. But he was stopped by another golem who delivered a powerful back fist towards Raizen's back, sending him crashing to the ground. Groaning in pain, when Raizen was about to get up, a golem walked up to him and slammed its left foot on his back and slams him back to the ground.

As he is on the ground, Raizen thought "At least I still have my super endurance."

Klavak laughed and said "There is nothing you can do!"

Still on the ground while looking at Gia, Raizen said "Nella…remember who you are!"

Shivering in fear, Gia said "I can't!"

Klavak laughed and said "It is useless! There is no hope for her to remember! She is long gone!"

In rage, Raizen tried to get up, but the pressure from the golem was holding him down. Struggling, Raizen was trying to get up until he saw another golem walking up to Gia. Just as the golem was about to raise it's fist and was about to bring it down, Raizen yelled as he was getting up. All of a sudden, his whole body started to glow yellow, and with a mighty shout, Raizen released a powerful force that knocked every golem that was standing! When the force died down, Raizen was now floating in mid-air!

"What?!" Klavak shouted, "How is that possible?!"

Once Raizen landed, he looks up in the sky and said "You thought you can take away my powers while I am in this realm. But when it comes to the lives of the innocent, I will fight for them!"

When Gia heard this, something inside of her clicked. As Klavak growled, black smoke fell from the sky and landed on the ground. When the smoke cleared, a large figure appeared standing over 6'-8" tall. It was wearing a black demonic armor from head to toe, had finger claws and his helmet had a skeleton face while it had two horns coming out of its forehead and curved upward.

Klavak gritted his teeth and said "I don't know how you got your powers, but it will do you no good!"

Raizen huffed and said "You don't know the power of a Saiyan."

In that moment, Klavak floated in the air and flew towards Raizen. His hands started to glow and released a blast of dark magic at Raizen. But now that he has his powers, Raizen did a back flip and evaded the blast. His turn to attack, Raizen raised his left hand and fired a blast of yellow energy. When the blast was about to make contact, Klavak dispersed into a cloud of smoke and allowed the blast to pass him. Once Klavak was whole again, he charged at Raizen and started to throw some punches at him. But Raizen held up his arms and blocked Klavak's attacks. Now that it is Raizen's turn to attack, he started to throw a few punches at Klavak. But the Master of Darkness was easily dodging Raizen's attacks, which surprised the Saiyan. After Raizen finished his attacks, he then delivers a powerful kick into Klavak's stomach which knocks him away. But when he recovered, he got up and black smoke emitted from his body. In a matter of seconds, five more Klavaks appeared. As Raizen readied himself, the five clones raised their hands and black chains started to wrap themselves around Raizen's body.

Trying to break free, Klavak said "It is no use. Those chains are enchanted to prevent you from using your powers."

Raizen laughed and said "You love stripping your opponent's powers to leave them helpless, don't you?"

Klavak gritted his teeth and said "Once I am done with you, you will be nothing more than…"

All of a sudden, there was a sudden flash of white light blinding everyone. As the light grew brighter, the clones and the chain that was wrapped around Raizen disappeared. When Klavak and Raizen turned towards the source of light, they saw something that shocked them both. It was Gia surrounded in a glow of white light as she floated in mid-air.

Gia looks at Klavak and said in a heavenly voice "Klavak! You have used your powers to forget who I am and thought you can destroy me. But now that I know who I am, you will feel my wrath."

Gia, who is now Nella, said "I have you to thank, mortal. You helped me remember my purpose: to protect all life. Thank you for protecting me when you didn't know it was me. But now I will take matters into my own hands."

Raizen then said "But wait, I have to get you out of here and…"

"Don't worry about it," Nella said, "I will get us out of this realm."

She then said "But I make this promise to you: When we meet again, I shall give you your reward."

After she said that, she spread her arms outwards and her glow of light began to glow brighter and blinded Raizen once again.

Raizen was knocked to the floor back in Mount Justice. Dr. Fate and Zatanna both stopped the spell and walked up to Raizen. While helping Raizen up, Zatanna said "Raizen, what happened?"

Raizen replied as he looks around "Nella? Nella?!"

As Zatanna looks around, she said "Nella? Where?"

Dr. Fate then said "Raizen, tell us what happened in there?"

After Raizen explained the events that happened, Dr. Fate shook his head and said "I see, so Nella must have moved Klavak and herself somewhere to continue their fight."

Raizen then said "We have to find her. Hell knows what is happening right now."

Dr. Fate then said "I will go out to find her. You have done well so far."

As light covered Dr. Fate, he disappeared in thin air. As Raizen grunted, Zatanna said "Are you alright?"

Raizen looks at her and said "He should have told me about that place before I got in."

He then walks up to the box, picks it up and said "What do we do with this?"

Zatanna gets it from his hands and said "Souvenir I suppose."

As Raizen raised an eyebrow, Zatanna said "Something to remember."

When Raizen shrugged, he gave off a worried look. Zatanna sensed this and said "What's the matter? Worried about Nella?"

Raizen replied "Yes and no. It was something Nella said before she sent me back here."

Before Zatanna asked, Raizen said "She said that when we meet again, she will give me my reward."

Zatanna's eyes widen and said "Seriously?!"

Raizen looks at her in a confused look and said "What is it?"

Zatanna replied "Nella only gives rewards to people who deserve it."

She then smiled and said "I believe that you will see her again."

Raizen lit up and said "You think so?"

Zatanna nodded and said "But the downside, she will show up when you are needed the most."

Raizen sighed and said "That's peachy. We Saiyans are practically indestructible, how is she going to show up when I am needed the most?"

Zatanna shrugged and said "One of life's mysteries, I suppose."

She then said "Hey, don't be down on yourself. You just saved a spirit of pure light, be proud of that."

After she said that, she turns towards the hallway and walked to her room. Once she was out of sight, Raizen just stood there and thought about Nella and where she is. For her to face off against someone like Klavak alone is unfair for her. Worried about her, Raizen took a deep breath and said "I hope she is alright."

Again, I know this was a cliché chapter, but I promise you that it will mean something in future chapters. That wraps up this chapter. Please note that I am still on vacation and will have trouble updating. So hope you enjoyed this chapter and see you all soon!
