In the arena set up for the Scare Games in the sewer, the different students and faculty were seated eagerly anticipating the sororities and fraternities competing to be introduced.

Where Etta Hiss Hiss was standing, Laura was waiting patiently, eagerly and anxiously while looking around trying to see when Mike's team would be entering; Laura looked surprised when she saw a certain monster walking at the row where Randy was watching... The HSS members were looking confidently while Nadya and Sonia of the group were looking fearful at Laura because they had to dodge a fireball aimed at them when they tried to convince Laura to get her ears pierced.

In his place in the stand Randy was there holding a sign which was half of HSS's logo and OK's logo as he could not decide which one to root for in the games. "Mind if I sit here?" a female voice asked and Randy shook his head. A second later he instantly realised the one now sitting next to him was a blue furred adult female monster – who was Laura's mother Atta Sharp.

"Hey you're Randy, aren't you?" Atta asked and Randy nodded looking shocked that a celebrity's wife (as well as a friend's mum) knew who he was and she continued "Laura has told me about you being friends with her and Mike in her letters back home and it's nice to meet you Mr Boggs."

Randy gave Atta a sheepish wave to her when she said "I decided to come and give both Laura and Michael my support, my husband Fillmore had to work late unfortunately but he does plan on coming over when he has the time."

"I thought I was telling the story!" Sulley told Randall with a glare as Randall had interrupted him to tell that part of the story. Randall gave a laugh while Laura just rolled her eyes.

"Okay but I just thought I would add that part in since it was the only chance for me to do so!" Randall said sheepishly while giving Sulley the sign to continue, "As I was saying before I was interrupted..." Sulley said before giving another glare to Randall "we had just come into the stadium while the teams were being introduced..."

"...and finally Oozma Kappa!" the voice of Brock Pearson the vice president of the MU student body said introducing OK. Most of the crowd were silent except for clapping from Laura, some pity claps from HSS (mainly to get on their sister's good side), Randy, Atta and Squishy's mum.

Brock and the student body president Claire Wheeler explained the rules of the first event would be to go race through a tunnel in the dark while the onlookers threw urchins at them which could sting them.

The teams huddled up and were ready at the starting line, in the case of Sullivan and Mike they looked as if they would be racing eachother. The event started and they began racing through the tunnel.

Mike and Sullivan were neck and neck in the race through the tunnel, having to keep dodging the urchins that were being thrown at them. Laura near the end of the tunnel noticed something when she looked behind her.

When Sullivan and mike came to where she was Laura stopped Mike and before he could ask why she done that she then pointed to the back of him and he noticed his other teammates were falling behind.

"Thanks Laura...comes on you guys!" Mike said to Laura and then shouted to the OK members as they were managing to catch up to them. Laura thought of something and whispered it to Mike's ear and he smirked.

"You guys go on along, I will catch up." Mike told them and they looked confused but went on regardless with Don shouting "I hope you can make it to the finish line Mike!"

When they saw the other competitors had gone forward and likely had finished the race Mike and Laura lined up to eachother and bent over as if to start the race again. They then smirked evilly to eachother before they ran off.

They were both narrowly avoiding the urchins with Mike being hit on the leg by one, "Sorry looks like I will be beating you in the Games, Mikey but too bad!" Laura laughed well naturedly while Mike determinedly jumped onto Laura's back as she decided to use her wings to fly.

"That has to be cheating!" Laura complained as she tried to steer and they both landed at the finish line spot at the same time. The OK members helped Mike up and the HSS members did the same to Laura.

"You and Laura looked awesome!" Terry and Terri both said at the same time and Don gave him a thumbs up (the closest he could do with squid arms anyway) while the rest of OK were nursing the boils from where the urchins touched except for Sullivan who was glaring at Mike, not happy that because of this stunt it might have costed them the round and indeed the whole games.

The Eta Hiss Hiss members were patting on the back while Rose said "I think since she was the one who got them to the finish line then at means they are eliminated!"

"I think because Wazowski touched the finish line before Sharp then that means you are out!" Sullivan said now having a glaring contest with Rose and talks in the crowd were now happening on the question of who is eliminated since it seemed the last members of HSS and OK had got there at the same time.

Johnny Worthington himself thought this was a win-win to him, if Wazowski was eliminated then that means he could convince Sharp to ditch the loser and if she was eliminated he could help console her. However that hope would be dashed with the announcement made.

"Actually it doesn't matter as both Eta Hiss Hiss and Oozma Kappa are still in the games; illegal ointment is cause for eliminated so Jaws Theta Chi are disqualified." Brock said as the disgraced JOX members were looking nervous.

"You and Sharp had better not try that stunt again, Wazowski!" Sullivan warned Mike but he paid him no heed as he and Laura were sharing a celebratory hug as Mike was thinking "We are in the games, dad never liked cheaters so I don't think he will take it well if he finds out his old fraternity is now full of cheaters..."

Randy was clapping enthusiastically in his place in the crowd saying to himself "so it looks like Mike and Laura will be together soon..."

"Don't worry Randall." Atta told the chameleon monster "I have been watching Laura and Mike for years and I think it is only a matter of time before they end up together."

Sulley did not react this time to once again be interrupted by Randall but then Mr Sharp asked "I remember that I and Atta had those talks for years before you both went to MU."

"This is the first time I have ever heard of this, so you and mum were predicting we could get together for years?" Laura asked surprised and her father grinned.

"You want who to have a cameo? Okay but as long as I get to put in the big musical number I did not have time to put in the stage version!" they heard Mike say from the kitchen as he was still on the phone to the movie agent.

"I think it is my turn again to continue the story." Laura told little Fillmore as she began to go into the next part of the story.

Yeah how this version of the First Round came to me today! Hey for any of you MU fanfic writers out there do you think any of you would be able to write a Mike/Claire shipfic (hey don't worry like most fanfic fans or writers I like to multiship) story as I had been waiting for one to appear for so long.
