Chase watched with solemn eyes when Phoenix would twitch in his sleep on the king sized bed of a dark blue decorated bedroom. Fear would occasionally write itself into his eyes, making the guy lose his desire to continue on. He stood in a corner of the room next to the small, white framed window.
Phoenix began to writhe to the point of nearly burning the room alive.
Kiana went on a search for answers, allowing her boyfriend first watch on their friend. She was happy the two were getting along, but the attitude Chase served her when around the two was growing old.
"I've found it!" Kiana squeaked, orbing into view. She was waving a hand with a scrawled spell on it around.
Chase nearly shoved his girlfriend, but thought better of doing it. "Ridding him of his demon powers will help for a bit of time. What're you going to do when the spell doesn't last? You're a whitelighter!"
Kiana's heart dropped. Her face fell, lowering her hand. She shook her head, "Chase-"
Chase angrily snatched the spell from her, ripping into shreds. He tossed it in the trash bin, walking over to a peacefully sleeping Phoenix. "KIANA! It's not even your choice. 'Kay?"
Kiana had nothing to counter with.
Phoenix slowly opened his eyes, having awoke to the shouting. He weakly managed sat up in his position on the bed. His eyes looking from one to the other. The boy was unusually pale. "You two are a couple, there's no need to yell over my well being. I'm leaving."
Kiana held in a breath of air. "I don't know for how much longer. How're you feeling?"
"Like I need my family from you crazies." Phoenix commented, grabbing his boots.
Chase snatched up his boots in a hurry, keeping them from the blue eyed boy. "Until you are well from those demon powers, you are going nowhere."
"You RIPPED UP the spell!" Kiana belted, causing Phoenix to flinch.
Chase full on scowled at her. "Get a potion. Those work wonders in a quickness."
Kiana huffed, storming off.
Chase took a seat on the bed, close to Phoenix. A cheshire smile was at play as he wrapped an arm around the other boy's shoulder. He began to rub a pattern of circles on his back, comforting the Halliwell.
Phoenix moved closer into Chase, causing the other boy to tense up. "How do you know you love someone?"
Frowning, Chase shook his head. A memory of his sister popping into his head. His eyes looked to the boy who laid his head on his shoulder. Their eyes locking in question. "You'd do anything for them."
Phoenix released a small yawn, feeling his eyelids grow heavy. "Don't leave me."
Chase turned red, peering down at the softly snoring boy. A smile found it's way onto his face. He gave the boy a kiss on his cheek, "I won't."

Phoenix scowled at the blue walls. His emotions were scattered. He'd gotten well enough to return home to his loved ones.
"Have you seen Chase?" Kiana asked, when Phoenix put on clean clothes from showering. Her eyes searching his for an honest response.
'Not since he told me he wouldn't leave me,' Phoenix bitterly reminded himself. It was a perfect moment of peace, some thing more than friendship, and comfort. He sighed, "Not for a couple of weeks."
"Nix, I'm happy we gave you the potion." Kiana happily chirped, wrapping him into a warm embrace.
Phoenix accepted the hug, breathing in her lavender scented shampoo. "Thank you for curing me of my demon half. I need a word with my family."
Kiana nodded, "Call if you need me."
Phoenix closed his eyes, thinking of the Halliwell manor. He materialised in the kitchen.
A yip came from Piper who'd been cooking.
Phoebe was looking through the Book of Shadows on the kitchen table.
Paige wasn't in sight. She kept insisting that she was following another lead.
Piper stopped what she was doing to rush over to him. She pulled him into a tight, motherly hug. "Mister, where have you been?"
"We thought you were kidnapped and killed!" Phoebe exclaimed, coming over to the two.
Phoenix winced, shaking his head. "No, I'm alive. I should have called or told you, but Kiana refused."
Piper smiled. "Oh, how sweet! She's a wonderful girl. Didn't her boyfriend die?"
"Chase Brimstone, yeah." Phoenix said, allowing his mind to roam to the thought of the brown haired boy. A sadness took hold of his heart. Why did Chase leave after promising to stay?
Phoebe was beaming. "Dylan and Colette will be showing up for a celebratory dinner. Their buisness is a major success. You should be happy!"
Phoenix raised his eyebrows. "Oh, really? Good for them."
"You should be proud. You're apart of it!" Piper ecstatically announced.
"I suppose." Phoenix uneasily agreed. A chill ran down his spine; his breathing grew cold.

Phoenix and Chase growing closer isn't a dream. The part is in italics for the fact that it happened before & while he was recovering from the demon powers draining him. Cool? Yeah, I'm wondering why the angel of time left too. What's next?
