Loneliness

Lambo sat on the edge of his bed. An open box and wrapping paper were strewn across his comforter.

Clenching the new cow-print button-up shirt, tears spilled down his face. His tears of loneliness soaked the shirt. Would he ever be like Tsuna and the rest of the Guardians? He didn't want them to forget him like his family in Italy.

Slam. The door flew open, causing Lambo to fall off the bed.

"Aho-ushi*!" Gokudera yelled. "Where are you? Mama is looking for you."

Lambo pulled himself up as he wiped the tears away with the shirt. "Go away, Stupidera."

Reaching for his dynamite, Gokudera noticed the tears and the unwrapped present on the bed. Walking towards it, he asked, "Where'd that come from?"

"Mama and Reborn," the ten-year old replied as Gokudera picked up the crumpled card.

"Aho-ushi, the card says it's from the Bovino family." The bomber looked at the boy questioningly.

Green eyes began to tear up as he shook his head, "Nuh-uh. Mama ordered it special. Lambo saw."

Pow. Pow. A large green mallet smacked both of them as Reborn, in his baby form, appeared in the window. "Dame* boys. Nana-chan is waiting," the hit-man stated as his green mallet transformed into a gun. "Lambo, Mama has a cake for you."

"Ga...ma...n." Lambo burst into tears.

Having and epiphany, Gokudera leaned over to the boy and whispered, "Even if the Bovino forget you. Even if the Gokudera forget me. We have Mama and the rest of the Guardians. We are our own family."

Lambo sniffed as Gokudera reached an arm around to give him a quick squeeze. "Otouto*, we have a birthday party to get to."

Lambo blinked at Gokudera. "O…tou…to?"

Gokudera's eyes narrowed as he stood. "Don't make me repeat it, Stupid Cow!"

Smiling Lambo stood to follow him out the door, "Okay, Gokudera-shi."

Watching from the window, Reborn smirked as he tipped his fedora over his eyes. "Dame Guardians, making Nana-chan wait."
