When the embarrassment from being heard subsided, Jihoo stared down at Jandi to make sure she was actually asleep this time. "She..likes me too?" He thought- but he had to dismiss that thought quickly. She was clearly drunk, and people utter the strangest thinks when half-conscious. Plus, she had come here to see Junpyo. He would not let his selfishness get in the way this time. After tucking her in properly, he moved back onto the armchair and drifted off soon afterwards.
Jandi awoke late in the morning, and rubbed her head. Looking around, she noticed a glass of water on the nightstand, and drank that down fairly quickly.
"Good morning." Jihoo came out of the bathroom fully dressed- though his slightly damp hair indicated he just took a shower.
Jandi smiled back the best she could, but couldn't help feeling uneasy about last night. She didn't remember anything of it, and hoped she didn't do anything to embarrass herself. She searched Jihoo's expression carefully hoping for hints, but of course his calm facade never slipped. His face gave nothing away. "We should eat something- I found out which building Junpyo had his meeting at." Jihoo said quietly, sitting on the edge of the bed now.
Clearly excited, Jandi jumped out of bed, staggering a little from the headache. "Okay! I'll get ready really quick! Wait here!" She exclaimed, as if Jihoo would disappear if she wasn't quick enough.
Jihoo chuckled at that, and waited for her to get ready.
When they reached the building, Jandi looked up at it- clearly nervous. She had not seen her boyfriend in over a month, and was fearing the worst as to why he had disappeared for so long.
"I'm sure it's nothing." Jihoo reassured, reading her mind again. He patted her back encouragingly.
"R-right! It's probably nothing!" Jandi forced a laugh, straightening up and marching into the building. With Jihoo next to her she was able to get past all the security no problem.
It took a while to find Junpyo- the building was much bigger than Jandi had ever seen before, and to top that off there must have been hundreds of people here.
"There sure are a lot of people here, huh?" Jandi seemed to be talking to herself more than she was to Jihoo. She was chewing her lip, clearly showing her anxiety.
Jihoo reached over hesitantly, taking Jandi's hand and pulling her closer to him. He let go after she was closer by his side.
Jandi couldn't help but smile a little, knowing that even a small gesture like this meant Jihoo was worried about her too. She had to be brave, at least for Jihoo. She didn't want him to worry.
It took a few more minutes of wandering around the building for Jandi to freeze in place. There Junpyo stood, just a few meters away from her. He was smiling but looked tired, stressed, and had lost a considerable amount of weight.
"Jun..pyo" Jandi breathed, her expression pained at the sight of Junpyo so worn out.
Junpyo turned suddenly, as if he had sensed her there- just as Jaekyung skipped over to him, kissing him on the lips, and linking her arm with his. She excitedly stole his attention away from Jandi, talking about something that neither Jandi nor Jihoo could hear.
Jihoo stood frozen as well, his gaze fixed on Jandi. He was gauging her reaction carefully, his eyes narrowed in worry. After what seemed like minutes of silence, Jandi suddenly choked out her words. "Let's… let's go sunbae." And with that she turned and started running- bumping into almost everyone in her way.
Jihoo followed afterwards, out of the building and onto the streets. Jandi had ducked into a narrow space between two buildings, tears already threatening to fall from her eyes. Jihoo moved to stand next to her, not saying anything. And Jandi was thankful for that. She didn't feel like speaking right now.
How long had Jandi stood there and cried? She looked down to see that her tears had stained the pavement beneath her. She couldn't face Jihoo right now, "he must have such a worried look on him."
"Let's.. go back now." Jandi was weakly, her voice hoarse from the crying. Just as Jihoo moved to lead her back to the hotel, there was a sudden clap of thunder and a downpour. Jandi didn't care much, but looked up in surprise when Jihoo took off his jacket and draped it over Jandi instead.
He looked down at her in silence, his dark eyes filled with pain and concern. Jandi gave him a small smile- the best she could manage, and made her way back to the hotel with him.
They had planned to go back to Korea the next day. Though Jihoo asked if Jandi was sure several times, Jandi just nodded and reassured Jihoo that she did not want to talk to Junpyo about it yet.
But when Jandi was fast asleep, Jihoo got a call from Junpyo. "What" Jihoo said flatly. Though Junpyo was his best friend, he would not tolerate him hurting the girl he loved so dearly.
"Just hear me out," Junpyo said quietly.
Writer's note: Heyyy I'm really surprised people are still reading the story I wrote as a crazy 14 year old fangirl xD. I apologize for all the grammatical errors in the previous chapters.. and also thank you so much for all the reviews. I have read every single one of them, and the ones I have been getting recently made me feel bad for ditching this story so suddenly. I am so happy you guys are still supporting this story, though I don't really feel the motivation to write a lot more chapters. It's been two years since the last one, and who knows when I will write again ;-; However when I have the time I will definitely make sure to write again. Thanks 3333
