Anyway, we're back to Julie's point of view for this chapter. I hope you enjoy it and remember to review at the end.

Chapter 13

I was enjoying an afternoon with all of my pokemon, including a new pokemon that I had recently caught and named Hallows. I had gotten the name from a book that my mom had once read to me and thought that it suited him.

Anyway, Twister, Aura, Hallows, and I were splashing around in a nearby lake while Blaze was sleeping under a tree and Peck was flying above our heads. And Hallows was shocking us.

Yes, I said shocking us. You see, despite my dislike towards electric type pokemon during the beginning of my adventure, I had caught Hallows (who just happens to be a Shinx) and now I couldn't imagine my adventure without my dear little Hallows. Even if he did wake up everybody in the morning with a discharge attack.

So we were splashing around in the lake when, suddenly, Hallows' ears pricked up and he growled at something at the other side of the lake.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Hallows says that someone is watching us, he doesn't know who it is or why he's here but he can hear him." Aura replied before adding. "I can feel his aura as well. It seems powerful, even more powerful than Twister's."

"Then we should go check it out." I suggested. Whoever he was, he could be friendly. Or not so friendly. Either way we had to check it out.

-You are not going to check it out- Twister growled. -I'll go check it out and if he doesn't mean any harm, I'll come back for the rest of you. Unless he disappears-

"But-" I started to argue but Twister cut me off with a hiss before he went to check on who/what was watching us. After a moment, I said to my other pokemon. "Sometimes that Dragonair is just too protective."

"Well his child was taken from him." Aura said sadly making me snap my head around to look at the Riolu and ask. "What do you mean his child was taken from him?"

"Twister didn't tell you?" Aura asked and when I shook my head no, she explained. "As you know, Twister's trainer overworked him a lot. However he was able to pull through all of that because his trainer also had a female Dragonair who became his mate and later had his child. But, his trainer traded Twister's mate away to another trainer and after the egg hatched, traded the baby Dratini away. This was what made Twister destroy his ball and run away."

I swallowed hard and sat on the edge of the lake. I couldn't believe that someone had done that to Twister. Twister was one of the nicest pokemon I had ever known and for someone to do that to him was just cruel. And not just that, it was just plain wrong for someone to do that to a gentle Dragonair. Why if I ever ran into the trainer who had done that to Twister, I would smack the living day lights out of him.

"Julie? Are you ok?" Aura asked concerned.

"I'm fine, Aura, I just can't believe that someone would do that to Twister." I replied holding my head in my hands.

I felt a hand on my back and I turned to see Blaze looking at me with concern. I gave her a small smile and then I hugged my starter. She was so small and innocent now and I knew that, one day, she would be big and strong. But for now, I was content with her being my little Blaze. And even if she couldn't speak, she would always be my partner and my best friend. That was one of the thing that I had learned in the past few weeks after catching the other four members of my team.

A few minutes later, Twister returned looking relieved. When he saw us though, his worried look returned. I laughed a little as he slithered up to us.

"Hey Twister, what's with the worried look?" I asked giggling.

Twister shook his head and then Aura asked.

"So, who was supposedly spying on us, Twister?"

-It was just Palkia checking up on Julie. Apparently, he finds us playing in the water quite amusing- Twister replied before asking. -What happened while I was gone? And don't say nothing because it was obvious that something happened when I go back-

Blaze said something in pokemon to Twister and Twister looked a little angry. His anger was quickly shook off though as he said.

-Palkia wants you to meet up with him in Pallet Town on December 20th, he said he had a surprise planned-

"Something tells me that the legendary has something much more important than a surprise planned." I commented.

-Considering that it is Palkia, I would not be surprised- Twister said smiling slightly.

"What do you mean considering Palkia?" Aura asked and the other pokemon were looking at Twister curiously as well.

-Have you children learned nothing from your parents? When I was your age, I already knew from my parents that Palkia was known for pulling pranks, schemes, and set-ups. And just in case your wondering how we learned that, Dialga likes to let stories of Palkia leak out to regular pokemon- Twister said laughing so hard that his head was bobbing forward as he laughed to his heart's content. It was almost comical.

After a second, the rest of us joined in and it seemed as if our day had returned to how it had been before everything had happened.
