Gamelover41592: I know right.

Lee: weeeelll... he won't find out about the Gargoyles any time soon.

WitchOfCrimsonFire: You made it sound so frong xP, but yeah, it was hilarious. I missed you.

Ti: No, just... no, I will not bring them back as ghosts, how is Danny supposed to move on if they come back as ghosts?

Danny only felt slightly bad for leaving Owen behind to deal with the Frootloop, but only slightly. His first instinct had been to run away and protect Alex. If it was up to him, Vlad would never even set his eyes on the child. Smiling at the little tyke Danny started humming as he changed Alex out of his pyjamas with ducks on it and put a red t-shirt with a white oval in the middle and a pair of blue pants along with white socks with red rubber on te bottom on the child, only afterwards noticing the ironic shirt. With a shake of his head Danny let Alex down and watched him crawl around before he started playing with his ABC blocks, Danny settled in a beanbag chair and watched his charge babble while stacking the square blocks and pushing the small towers to make them fall before clapping his hands at the destruction. It was truly adorable but Danny would never say that out loud, he still had some manly pride to prevent that ever escaping his mouth.

Danny jerked when his phone rang, but it didn't take him long to answer it. It turned out to be the doctor in charge of Jazz and he had some good news. Apparently she was showing signs of improvement and there was now a better chance at her actually waking up some day in the future. This made Danny smile brighter than he had in a while before thanking the doctor and hanging up. Smiling, Danny kneeled down to lift Alex up to go and feed him and as he stood back up he froze at the sight of an unfamiliar woman. She had long, wavy brown hair and was wearing a green, short dress with a blue coat over it and green high heels. She also had a golden neclace and pearls around her neck.

Standing up and walking out of Alex's nursery, he asked "Who might you be, ma'm?" tensely.

The woman smiled, showing her slight wrinkles "I'm Anastasia Renard, Fox's mother, I thought I could visit my grandson. My daughter seemed a bit preoccupied at the moment."

Though the statement seemed innocent, Danny wasn't one to trust easily "I'm sorry, but until Owen, Fox or Mr. Xanatos confirms your identity I cannot in good conscience let you anywhere near Alex, I hope you understand." he said apologetically, though he wasn't that sorry, Alex was his first priority after all.

The woman seemed shocked "But I am his grandmother."

"So you say." Danny said before he disappeared around hte corner and into a secret passage behind a tapestry, hoping to get away from the unknown woman.

Meanwhile, Titania was shocked. This man had just walked away with her grandson and disappeared. Huffing she spun around on her heel, intent on finding her daughter. She soon found her beside her husband, talking to a man with white hair wearing a black suit and a white scarf which looked like silk.

"Fox, my dear, could we have a word?" Titania called.

Fox didn't look happy to see her, which she could understand, but never the less walked over "What, mother?" she asked in a clipped tone.

Titania smiled "Now is that any way to greet your mother?"

"After the stunt you pulled, I believe so."

"Anyway, I just met my grandson's new bodyguard and he refused to let me anywhere near him."

"Well good, though Danny is Alex's nanny, not bodyguard. Though with him around Alex doesn't need one."

"Would you just confirm my identity to him so that I can see my grandson?"

"Let me sleep on it."

Unkown to the two, they were not out of earshot, at least, not out of Vlad Master's earshot. He could hear everything.

So, little badger, playing nursemaid? You're going to regret ever leaving Amity Park and you will come with me, even if I have to take out the entire Xanatos family.

Somewhere in the castle, Danny felt shivers down his spine, getting a very bad feeling all of a sudden.

Vlad, meanwhile was speaking to David Xanatos about possibly working together.

"Mr. Xanatos, do you believe in ghosts?" Vlad asked with an almost pleasant smile.

"I can't say I don't." Was David's answer, wearing an equally friendly smile which he'd developed over many years of making business deals.

Vlad smirked "You see, as the world's leading scientist in developing anti-ghost technology I thought that having Xanatos tech make the weaponry would be quite profitable for both of us."

David nodded, seeing the benefit of getting his hands on such technology. He thought back to that day in his office, where Danny had let him in on the branch of ecto-tech.

"I have to warn you though, ecto-technology is dangerous to make,"

Masters had given no warning of the making of weapons, which made David wonder how much the man actually cared for his company's reputation, if there were an accident while making this new thecnology, Xanatos would be the only one blamed.

"You'll have to understand, sir, that not all ghosts are evil, and as such, I can't in good consciense give you something that will hurt any friends or allies I have made in the Ghost Zone."

Then there was the fact that the man had specifically said "weaponry", which meant that he cared not for wether ghosts were good or evil. He was starting to doubt this man had any good intentions for his reputation, life or family. He'd have to ask Danny about this man. Or he could leave the man alone in a room filled with hidden cameras and mikes with Danny, to see how the man acted when out of earshot.

As if summoned, Danny walked around the corner while feeding Alex. Looking up the young man froze at the sight of Mr. Masters.

"Ah, Daniel," David said, making Danny eye him strangely, knowing something was up "would you mind leading Mr. Masters to my office, I'll put Alex to bed, it's been forever since I spent any time with him." the last statement was not true and they both knew it.

Danny definetly knew something was wrong now and in a moment realized that Mr. Xanatos' office was bugged, which would let him see a different side of Vlad "Of course, Mr. Xanatos. We wouldn't want to stress Alex by keeping him away from you." he said, handing the baby over to the father before walking past him "Right this way."

Of course, by that last part he'd actually meant "Let's keep the baby away from the frootloop."

David didn't miss Master's smirk turning evil as he followed Danny down the hall and he wondered if this was such a good idea and after handing Alex over to Fox, David swiftly walked into the monitor room.

The sound of the door closing was loud, even over the microphones, as David watched the black and white feed. Danny remained stiffly by the door, hand on the handle.

"Why are you here?" David raised a brow at the question, that answered whether Danny knew of him, he just never thought he'd actually know him.

Masters chuckled "Straight to the point as always, little badger. I saw you on the news, that was... quite the rescue."

Danny let go of the handle as if burned, turning to glare at the man "What do you want?"

Vlad's smirk turned predator-like "What I always want, Daniel."

Danny sliced his arm through the air in front of him "I'll never go, you know that. I ran away, shouldn't that tell you something Vlad? You'll never have me."

What? David blinked at this, 'You'll never have me', had this man tried to hire Danny or something? But no, he wouldn't have to run away were it a simple job offer, or rather, job demand.

Vlad chuckled again "I hear Jazz is doing better. It would be a shame if her progress was... halted."

Even though the video was black and white, David swore he saw Danny pale "You wouldn't... but you would... you've shown that many times before..." Danny said, slumping against the door, his hair falling in front of his face.

Vlad smirked "You see, Daniel, I have already won."

There was a silence, before a soft whisper cut through the air "No."

Vlad raised an eyebrow "Hm?"

Danny lifted his gaze form the floor, eyes cold and hard "I said, no. You know why? 'Cause I'm not gonna let a seriously crazed up frootloop like you ruin my life ever again." Danny said, his voice getting stronger as he straightened himself "I hated you when you tried to kill dad, I hated you when you flirted with mom, I hated you when you tried to get custody of me and Jazz. Thankfully Tucker put enough wrenches in everything that you never became her guardian and thankfully I could escape before you arrived at the hospital. You've crossed a lot of lines during your existense and you've never taken any threat of mine seriously. But heed this warning, if you lay a finger on one person of the Xanatos family, I will not only beat you, I will end you. I left so that I would never have to see your face ever again and I hoped that you'd realize your foolishness after mom's death, how stupid of me to think that you'd ever change. I am not the 14-year-old boy you could easily overpower, you think all I've done these past years is run? No, I trained, I became stronger and if we had a fair fight you can be damn sure I'm the one who would win. I have no idea if you were always this bad or if you snapped, but I saw what your weapons did to Cujo, I know how hard it is for a ghost to develop scartissue post-mortem, how much it would have to hurt, yet you did it anyway." Danny spoke, his voice almost booming yet not really rising in volume at all, before he turned and opened the door, before leaving though, he called out "And that scarf does not suit you at all."

David could see Masters fuming and glaring after the young man, but making no move to follow. When David stepped out of the monitor room Danny walked swiftly past his employer, his hair hiding his face as his head was tilted down.

He stopped his wife from following the man "Let him be for now... though after a while you might want to had Alex back to him, that'll cheer him up."

Fox nodded as she wathed her husband make his way towards his office before silently following Alexander's nanny, keeping her distance.
