Jessica had no idea where she was. She didn't know whether she was still in Amity Park or 20 miles away. All she did know was that she was bound to a chair in the middle of a cell. She was a little worried. She didn't know what the fruit loop had planned for her. He could kill her, torture her, use her to get in Danny's head, or all three. Jessica watched as Plasmius grumbled something to himself. Finally, she spoke.
"So what is it you're planning?" Jessica asked him.
"Well I'm glad you asked" Plasmius said. "As I said before, your death plays a pivotal role in the first part of my plan, which was to demoralize Daniel. I could kill you a second time just to break his spirit even further, but that would be too simple"
"So what are you going to do?" Jessica asked.
"I'm going to blame him for your death, turning the whole city against him" Vlad explained.
"What, are you going to just say "Danny Phantom did it" and expect everyone to take your word for it?" Jessica asked dryly.
"Well he was the person who found your body, so naturally his fingerprints would be on your body. Besides, I don't expect them to believe me at first, but when Daniel lets his rage take control of him and attacks me, that will be all the proof they need that Danny Phantom is a cold blooded murderer" Vlad replied. "And once he's left with nothing, I'll make my move, kill you in front of him once again and then defeat him once and for all"
Jessica started softly giggling.
"What's so funny?" Vlad asked, irritated.
"Do you really think your plan is going to succeed?" Jessica asked. "Your plans going to end the same way all your other plans end: with Danny kicking your butt and humiliating you once again. You're never going to beat him"
"Don't you dare mock me!" Vlad snarled. He walked into the cell and grabbed Jessica by her throat. "You insolent brat! I've got the Ring and the Crown on my side making me the most powerful being on Earth. Danny doesn't stand a ghost of a chance against me!"
He let Jessica go, who responded by continuing to laugh.
"It doesn't matter whether or not you have the Ring and the Crown" she stated. "Danny will beat still beat you. This time he's motivated to avenge my death and if you kill me again, it'll drive him off the deep end."
"I'm getting tired of hearing these same warnings being repeated time and time again" Vlad muttered. "Don't you people understand that I am invincible. I am a god!"
"Say what you say, but you're in for a harsh reality check" Sam warned him. "Danny's going to beat you like he always does because no matter how cunning you are, no matter what tricks you pull, no matter how much more experienced you are than him, Danny is and always will be stronger and better than you"
Vlad snapped and slapped Jessica hard across the face, the force of the blow knocking over the chair she was bound to and causing her to hit her head against the concrete floor. Vlad was silent, but the look of rage on his face was terrifying
"The only reason Daniel bests me is because of sheer luck or taking advantage of one of my mistakes!" He hissed. "I could easily beat Danny until he was a bloody smear on the pavement!"
If it wasn't for the fact that he still needed Jessica for his plan, Vlad would've killed her then and there. Jessica seemed to sense this and gave a triumphant smirk.
"Did I strike a nerve?" She asked.
Vlad, obviously struggling to keep his temper under control merely walked away. Jessica waited for the door to close behind him before using her powers to undo the bonds on her wrists. She untied her feet and then walked over to the door. With a simple flick of the wrist, the bars fell off the door as if they were made from paper mâché. Jessica slipped through the opening, climbed out the window and made her escape. From what she could tell, she was a long ways away from Amity Park.
Not knowing how far away Plasmius was, Jessica ran. She didn't stop to catch her breath or even look behind her. Finally after what felt like hours, Jessica came upon Amity Park, but she still didn't stop running. Her lungs were aching and desperately craving oxygen.
Danny, meanwhile was busy scouring the city when he looked down and saw someone running. Upon closer look, Danny realized it was Jessica. Danny flew down to help her and get some answers.
"Jessica!" Danny yelled out.
Jessica, hearing Danny's voice, finally stopped running and turned to face him.
"Danny!" She exclaimed, running into his arms.
"What happened?" Danny asked.
"Plasmius kidnapped me, that's what happened" Jessica explained.
"Where was he keeping you and why did he kidnap you?" Danny asked.
"Vlad was holding me prisoner in a hideout of his about 20 miles from Amity Park" Jessica explained. "He was going to kill me right in front of you in order to break you"
"I'm going to rip his head off!" Danny yelled, about to take off to find Plasmius before Jessica stopped him.
"Wait, you can't go" Jessica said.
"Why not?" Danny asked.
"Because, Vlad has the Ring of Rage and the Crown of Fire" Jessica explained. "It's too dangerous to fight him"
"I don't care" Danny stated. "Someone has to stop him and expose him for who he is. No one else can do it so it's going to be me"
"About fucking time you started coming around!" Dark Danny exclaimed.
Suddenly a nearby TV switched to the news station with an important bulletin.
"Breaking news" The reporter said. "Apparently the mayor has found new evidence is the murder case of Samantha Manson. Mayor Masters will be on the air live in a few minutes to expose the murderer"
"Perfect" Both Dannys thought as they headed to the park.
Short chapter, I know; I'm sorry. But next chapter comes the showdown you've all been waiting for: Danny vs. Vlad in a all out straight up fight. It will be barbaric, it will be bloody, it will be brutal. Who's going to win? Will Danny learn of Jessica's true identity? Will Danny succumb to his dark side and cause massive destruction?
