AN. So it has been a really, really long time since my last update and I feel like I should explain some things.

Honestly, I had given up on this story. With real life getting really busy and the writer's block that troubled me back then I felt like it would be better if I put writing fanfiction on a hold.

Now two years later real life is still really busy, but I feel like I have time again to at least finish this story. I felt bad for just discontinuing and leaving the people who got this far without an ending. I want to thank all the people who left reviews in the time that I was away, it is because of you that I felt like finishing this would be the right thing to do.

I do have to tell you though, it has been a long time since I have even thought of this story, I have forgotten what my original plan for it was, and right now I just want to give it a ending.

So I apologize for the ridiculous long time you all had to wait for this chapter, but I hope you'll like it.

Last time:

So all he needed to do was find Wyatt and bring him home. Then they would have to have an really long talk, because he didn't want to lose his brother over something that hadn't even really happened.

Revelations and Heartbreaks

Chapter 14

After the realization that Wyatt had left, Chris quickly made his way to the attic, the place where he always he felt most at home and the most calm. And he would need that calm right now, because it would be hard to find Wyatt. And it would be hard to bring him back, so Chris needed to stay calm and think this through.

Chris was seriously worried for his brother, not only was he basically missing, he was missing while emotionally unstable. Chris wasn't really sure why Wyatt had left, but he could come up with some scenarios, each one worse than the other. The most probable scenario that Chris could come up with was that Wyatt left with the idea that it would help his family.

And he could hardly blame Wyatt really, Chris himself had thought about leaving at multiple points in his life. He had thoughts about how his family would be better off without him. Or that everything, all his memories, would hurt less if he didn't have reminders every day of his life. At those moments it was usually Bianca who could talk him out of it, but in the few instances that she was unavailable he went to Wyatt. Not that Wyatt ever knew how much he had really helped Chris in those moments, just him talking about whatever came up in his mind would help Chris come back to himself.

Chris thanked his lucky stars that he had people in his life who would help him get through those hard times. That he had people who could talk him back from those awful downward spirals that were his thoughts in those moments.

Chris shook his head, now was not the time to be thinking about those horrible times. No, now was the time that he could help Wyatt through one of those.

Wyatt needed Chris to help him find his way back home, and Chris owed him that at least. If not for all the times that Wyatt had helped him out, then for the simple reason that this was all Chris' fault. So Chris would put all he had in finding his brother, there was simply no other outcome that he would agree on.

While Chris had known that finding Wyatt wasn't going to be as easy as normal, he didn't expect it to take him hours to figure it out. He had begun by simply trying to sense for his brother, they had after all the strongest bond two brothers could have. But no matter how hard he tried he came up with nothing. Wyatt was blocking him with all he had, the only thing that Chris felt coming through the bond was the knowledge that Wyatt was alive. And that only meant that Wyatt's heart was still beating, but not if he was actually healthy. Wyatt could be bleeding out in a ditch somewhere and Chris wouldn't even now.

Chris was a bit stumped by this fact. He knew that it was possible to block the bond, it was something he did on an daily basis to keep Wyatt out of his head, and therefore out of his memories. But he only knew how to block the bond because of his memories. Blocking the bond was a matter of survival to the other Chris after all. So how did Wyatt know how to block? Wyatt had always been an open book, never really getting the handle on blocking people out. So how had he learned to block himself so fully, and when?

After Chris came to the realization that their shared bond wasn't going to help him, he began scrying, using an shirt of Wyatt to help to focus the search on Wyatt. But once again Chris came up with nothing. Wyatt was not only blocking himself to Chris, he was blocking himself from being found through scrying as well. Chris knew several ways to block scrying, but he had never shared this knowledge with Wyatt, and Chris had never really seen his brother trying to learn these things either. It became clear to Chris that he didn't really know how good Wyatt was at hiding himself.

Wyatt had never really been interested in expanding his general knowledge of witchcraft, he learned what he needed to for magical school, an each time they had to vanquish a demon he would go to the book to learn about them, but he never went out of his way to gain knowledge. He never cared much for knowing what one could really do with magic, he just did what he had to do to survive.

But now it seemed that Wyatt had much more knowledge than ever expected, and Chris didn't really know how he felt about that. For one thing he always said that Wyatt should become more invested in his magic, because not knowing could really hurt them. But now Chris could really use his naïve brother, who never knew how to deceive people.

Chris went through the book two times before he came up with the next method of searching. While Wyatt wasn't really lost since he was consciously hiding himself, Chris had high hopes for the to call a lost witch spell.

Once he thought of the spell Chris could slap himself for his stupidity, why hadn't he just started out with this method, he was obviously looking for a witch! Chris just hoped that his power alone would be enough, since his mother and aunts usually did this spell with at least two of them.

Chris quickly gathered the needed ingredients for the spell and set them up.

"Power of the witches rise

Course unseen across the skies

Come to us who call you near

Come to us and settle here."

He spilled some of his blood in the mortar and continued chanting, hoping to god that this would work.

"Blood to blood, I summon thee

Blood to blood, return to me."

With bated breath Chris waited to see if the spell worked. It took some time and just as he was about to give up hope on the spell he saw white lights appearing in the attic. Chris let out an sigh and said a silent thank you to whichever deity that helped him bring his brother back.

Wyatt wasn't happy when he felt the spell take hold on him, and he fought it with all the magic he possessed, but no matter how hard he tried the magic of the spell was too strong for him and he found himself being transported.

Wyatt cursed at himself, why hadn't he thought of protecting himself against this spell? It was the most logical way to find a witch after all, and his little brother was nothing if not logical, so really he should have foreseen this happening, he should have been able to stop it.

After Wyatt had packed some of his stuff and left the manor, he quickly found that he was stumped. While he was absolutely determined to follow through on his new course of action, he was also painfully aware of the flaws that the plan held. Mainly that he had left in a hurry with no time to really plan at all.

On top of that came the fact that Wyatt had never really been the planner in his family. That was more Chris' thing, he would always come up with the crazy plans to take out demons, or to get their parents to agree on something he wanted. It was like Chris had always jokingly said Wyatt was just the power, it was Chris that was the brain behind the duo. Wyatt couldn't help but think that while it was always said in a joking manner, it really did held the truth. Wyatt had never really possessed the skillset necessary to come up with detailed plans like Chris did. He wasn't really able to think about matters rationally, his emotions often got in the way. Nor did he possess the patience that was often necessary, he was more likely to rush into things. He wasn't really cunning either, something that he could have used right about now.

Wyatt sighed, he might not be good at this, but he was nothing if not determined. He was nog going to give this up. This was for his family, and that meant he would do whatever it took.

Wyatt had spent the first hour after he left the manor just wandering around the city, as he didn't really have a place to go to. Most of his friends were friendly with his family, so he couldn't really go to them for help. His family might look for him there, or his friends would snitch on him. He couldn't have that. So Wyatt just wandered in the city before deciding that he would have to suck it up and stay in some abandoned warehouse until he got his act together. The most important thing first was to make sure he couldn't be found.

While Wyatt hadn't really thought about how he was going to cloak himself from his family, it appeared that his brother had. He had, in the other timeline, found multiple ways to make sure he wasn't found. And he had unknowingly shared quite a bit of this knowledge with Wyatt when he shared the memories of the other timeline. Wyatt should really thank Chris for making his hiding much more easier. He was sure his little brother had lots more knowledge, and experience than what he had shared within the memories, but that didn't matter. Wyatt now had some of the basics of blocking their brotherly bond, something that he had never really managed on his own before.

He was just a bit jealous when he realized how good Chris really was at blocking and hiding, and a bit afraid of how much more Chris could have excluded his brother out of his life.

At first Wyatt was a little afraid that the knowledge of how to block someone alone wouldn't really make him able to block, seeing as he had tried often enough before. But the way Chris had a full grasp of all the facets that came with the bond helped Wyatt tremendously, and when he finally understood the basics that went behind blocking someone it became really easy.

Wyatt smiled, thanks little brother, you make my life so much easier he thought. Because just like the knowledge of blocking their bond, Chris had also shared some other techniques, like how to block scrying. Wyatt quickly went to work, time was of essence after all. He wasn't exactly sure how long it would take Chris to get his bearings back, but knowing his little brother, it wouldn't really be that long before he went home and realized Wyatt had left. And if, for some reason it would take Chris all day to find his way back to the manor, then he still had the rest of his family to worry about.

Just as Wyatt was satisfied with the measures he had taken to secure himself, he felt magic coming over him. Wyatt panicked, because he couldn't really place the feeling, but like the other times his brother helped him, he again found an old memory surfacing. Apparently his brother was summoning him. Luckily for him his brother had also once been summoned and the memory of him fighting the hold of the magic surfaced in Wyatt's mind. But Wyatt was too late and the magic had too strong of an hold on him and he slowly felt himself be moved through space. It was different then with orbing, and Wyatt had to admit, it felt a bit disconcerting as well. Soon enough he found himself back in the attic of Halliwell manor, a place had never wanted to return to. And as soon as he opened his eyes he found himself staring into the angry green orbs of his little brother. Well Shit, this isn't good…

AN. So that was what I managed to come up with after two years…

I hope you liked it, please let me know in a review if it is any good!
