Summary: "I'm sorry I need to leave, but I think that we both need time, so I'm leaving for the city where I can forget it all." Only one problem, what city is that? And Phineas has to find her, or lose her forever.
A/N: And the writing continues. And now that I think about it, the chapter name sounds like something from Star Trek...
I do not own Phineas and Ferb. All © go to Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh.
Chapter 14: First Sighting!
Stepping off of the train, Phineas was immediately taken aback from the heat. Over 80 degrees, it wasn't that hot to be honest, but after being in Tibet, and on an air-conditioned train for a week, it was an unwelcome change.
Pulling out his DNA tracker, Phineas looked around. Oh yeah, Isabella's been here. So she didn't return to the states. "You know, if I didn't know any better, I would've assumed that she made it so that her DNA would start being noticeable after she got a sizable lead. It would mak-" Phineas' phone rang out again. Ferb's number was on it. "Oh hi Ferb!"
"Phineas, mum is beside herself at this point... when you come home, let's just say that you're going to be up to your ears in pies," Ferb explained. "You better find Isabella soon, or we're going to have a lot of spoiled pie soon."
"Yeah, I feel for ya bro, and I would love some of mom's pie right now," Phineas exclaimed. "But, I think I've found Isabella. She's here in Israel!" Ferb sighed with relief. "But, now I'm starting to think about it, and I'm worried bro. I'm not quite sure she'd want to come home with me, even if she did regain her memories."
"I think she wanted you to come after her and prove you value your friendship. After all, if she truly didn't think you'd come for her, then she wouldn't have given you her memories to begin with," Ferb explained.
"Yeah, I just can't help shaking that feeling," Phineas replied. "I mean, mom freaking out wasn't very helpful either."
"She'll be happy when you're home, that's all that matters," Ferb said evenly.
"I suppose so," Phineas said unsure. "Anyway, I better start tracking down Isabella before she moves on again. Although, if she hasn't left by now, then she's probably found a way to settle down into a new life."
"Good luck," Ferb said before hanging up.
Turning back to his DNA tracker, Phineas followed it from the train station out to the park. Looking around, Phineas shrugged to himself. "Well, here would be as good a place as any to have lunch." Noticing the tracker had a lot of the DNA gathered in one spot before moving off again towards the inner city, Phineas pulled out a sandwich and began munching on it while following the DNA on foot.
After a few hours of searching around, Phineas saw that the sun was beginning to set and was about to try and find a place to stay for the night when he saw her. In her signature pink dress and hair bow. She headed into an... is that an orphanage?
Quickly pulling out his phone, Phineas hit speed dial number 1 and started talking the moment the phone connected, "Ferb. I've found her."
Okay, I think that's where I'll stop it because I'm going to have an entire chapter dedicated to their meeting.
As always, Review!
