Team Kanto were wide awake at 7:30am as they were training their teams left and right for their upcoming challenge on the northern side of Route 2.

Right now the 5 of them were inside the Pewter City's Pokemon Center as their were healing their Pokemon and waiting for either Chris or Chef Hatchet to arrival give them their daily challenge.
"So does anyone actually know what's our next challenge?" Beth asks.
"Who knows, All Chef told us was start getting ready for it." Trent answered.
"Well no matter what the challenge. I, Alejandro will absolutely dominate." Alejandro boasted holding his Squirtle's Pokeball in the air and perform a pose while the other two rolled their eyes.

"Well if we are going to continue to wait for them, I say we get a few more battle under our belt." Alejandro offered to the two.
"What about Courtney and Noah?" Beth feeling concerned on leaving the two out.
"Never you mind about those two. Remember, Noah already has a vast knowledge of this Pokemon things. Also I highly doubt that Courtney will accept our help. So what do you say? Just for an hour, shall we strengthen the skills of our Pokemon together?" Alejandro asks.

"Whoa!, What happening to your Catapie?" Beth asks Trent. By the time it finish Trent's Catapie was replaced by a green chrysalis.

Just then Chef Hatchet came down with his jet-pack.
"I believe I have the answer to your question. What that little worm just went through is what was called evolution. When A Pokemon that has the ability to evolve reaches a certain level, comes in contact with a stone, learns a certain move or is traded is evolves into it's next stage and becomes much more powerful." Chef explains.
"You do realize that it is just a cocoon, right?" Alejandro asks pointing down at the Metapod.
"Some Pokemon can evolve more than once. Anyway gather the rest of your team and meet me at the Pewter City Gym." Chef Hatchet told the 3. After 15 minutes the entire Team Kanto was standing in front of rather large stone building with A triangular top.
"All right this is the last challenge before the first elimination ceremony." Chef started and without even a second later, Courtney raises her hand.
"Excuse me but neither of you two ever explained the rules of elimination." Courtney said annoyed of not knowing.
"None of your beeswax. Just go in there and challenge the leader. I don't care if you win or lose but go and challenge them. Chef ordered almost kicking the 5 in the building. Once inside they find a 18 year old man with brown spiky Afro wearing dark orange shirt, long dark green jeans and khakis on the far end of A battlefield.
"Welcome to Pewter's City Gym, Team Kanto." The young man introduced. "I am Brock, The Pewter city's Gym Leader. My rock-hard willpower is evident even in my Pokemon. MyPokemon are all rock hard, and have true-grit determination. That's right - My Pokemon are all the Rock type!" Brock narrated.
"Whatever let's go!" Courtney rudely said.
"Unfortunately for you, The way these battle will go is alphabetical order. So the line-up is Alejandro, Beth, then you Courtney, Noah and then Trent." Brock explained as Courtney looked crossed but follows Beth, Trent and Noah to the bleachers and Brock and Alejandro took their place in their trainer boxes.

Just then A giant chain of boulders appears(from largest to smallest) with A rocky spine on top of it's head with black eyes appears.
