Vanessa frowned at the scattered clothes in front of her. "I can't believe this. I grew again? None of these clothes fit me now!" She bent down and began to gather the multiple shirts and too-short jeans. "I spent most of my money on dorm supplies… And I highly doubt that my parents would be happy to send me more money… ARGH! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!"

She took a deep breath and squeezed the bundle in her arms. "Okay. I'm in a foreign country and don't have money for clothes… I suppose I could try to get a job- I do speak German, after all…"

"But are people really going to hire an American citizen to work in Germany? I'm not even seventeen yet and there's also the problem of transportation…"

She looked over to where her roommate was sleeping blissfully. She sighed- she couldn't wake people up just to solve her own problems. Plus, it was a Saturday! "Maybe there's a bus- they can't just leave us here in the middle of nowhere miles away from civilization! Or can they…?" Vanessa shook her head, "I'll just have to check it out."

Vanessa put her clothes back in her closet and turned towards the door. "Since I have nothing else to do, I'll do it now." She pulled on her boots and laced them up. After that, she quickly walked out.

Humming one of her multiple favorite tunes, she headed towards the school office. Upon arrival, she looked at the bulletin board where several colorful flyers were pinned for everyone to see. Her light green eyes scanned over several advertisements before she came across what she was looking for.

"Bingo!" A smile made its way onto her face, "This is perfect! There're four different campus busses leaving every half-hour all day every day!"

She walked over to the secretary's desk, "Excuse me, but do you know whether there's a student off-campus form that I have to sign or not?"

The man, seemingly in his early twenties, looked up from his spot with the clearest ocean blue eyes Vanessa had ever seen, "Why yes, I do. The form is right there." He pointed to the clipboard on the far left side of the desk. "Planning on going to town?"

Vanessa nodded, "Yeah… Do I need to sign this every time I leave?"

"Yes. In fact, you also have to sign it when you get back." He smiled, "Planning on going to town a lot?"

"Yeah, I'm planning on getting a job…" Vanessa said slowly, not wanting to talk about why she needed a job.

"Oh. In that case, there's a form you can fill out for your job so you can leave campus anytime you are needed." He pulled out another form from a drawer, "Here. Just fill this out when you get that job of yours and bring it back to the office."

"Thanks!" She gratefully took the paper from the man, "By the way, my name's Vanessa. Vanessa Sholtz. Sorry about not introducing myself earlier."

"It's quite alright, Vanessa. My name's Sebastian O'Conner," he turned to the electric clock on his desk, "I think you'd better get going if you want to catch the next bus. Best of luck to you in finding your job, Vanessa!"

"I guess I'll see you later Sebastian!" Vanessa said over her shoulder as she walked out of the door.

"Crap." Vanessa muttered under her breath. "I can't believe I owe the library money now!"

She continued her ramblings as she sat down on a bench, remembering what had just happened in the public library.

"Thanks for giving me a chance at working here!" Vanessa said cheerfully to the woman in front of her.

"No problem, darling. Now then, to start, you'll be doing mainly cleaning, and later, you'll start working with the books and behind the check-out counter." The woman clapped her hands together, "Alright, please sweep the historical fiction section."

"Yes ma'am!"

Vanessa sighed- that was where the trouble began.

She was sweeping, determined to secure her job with a well-done trial. Unfortunately, she wasn't paying enough attention to what was behind her. She bumped into a bookshelf- hard. The whole thing went crashing down. The books were fine- but the shelves were completely ruined.

Within seconds, her hopes of working at the library were crushed. To make her money problems worse, she also had to pay for the damage she caused the library.

She briefly looked up from where she was sitting, her eyes immediately spotting a sign with 'Help Wanted' in German scrawled across it sloppily. Not even bothering to look at what the store was, she walked in.

It was a bar. That much was obvious once she set foot in it.

However, that didn't stop her money problems. She took the job. She was going to work by pouring drinks for the customers.

She had to admit, the job had its perks. Her shifts were all in the evenings or on the weekends, so she wouldn't be missing any school. Plus, it was actually a pretty decent paying job. The only thing she truly had against it was that she had to wear a uniform.

The uniform was a deep green beer girl dress with golden stitching and long white socks that reached to just below her knees. The dress fell a few inches above her knees, showing a gap of her skin. The skirt of the dress had a pattern weaving around the edges. Underneath the dress, she had to wear a strange blouse that was cropped off before it reached her stomach. All in all, it strangely reminded her of a German Hooters.

"I guess I'm just lucky they had my size, but the outfit is still… it's just embarrassing!" She sighed, resolving to never tell Kiku or her roommate about the job, "I better get back to work now."

"Kesese! THE AWESOME ME IS BACK!" A familiar voice cried out in German from the doorway.

"Just my luck…"

I'm sure you all know who just entered the bar... Heh...

Now what will happen?

R&R to find out!
