A/N: Hello again! Let me just say something real quick: I HATE 8th grade! It's so freaking exhausting, and my math teacher scares me to death. Anyhow, I found some time to update today, and I decided to write a bit, so here I am. So last chapter, Jade and Tori decided to become somewhat "friends" while they're doing this challenge, so it'll probably make things easier for Jori to happen. Oh and if anyone wants to read my new story about Austin & Ally, feel free to go ahead and read it.

Jade's POV
"NO, I'm not doing this again Vega! The first few times were already torture enough." I said, turning my head away "Ahh Jadey stop being such a wuss. Just one last time, promise" Tori said with puppy dog look of hers "Ok fine, give it here" I said motioning for her to give me the phone. The familiar "Flappy Bird" game flashed on the screen and as usual, I die before even getting one point "I'm horrible at this. The person who created this has a pact with the devil. It's freaking impossible to fly in between those tubes. I don't even know how you got a high score of 15" I said throwing her phone on my bed behind me "Hahaha that's because I'm an addict at this game and you've played it what, like 5 times?" she said laughing at me, resting her head on the end of my bed. We were both sitting on the floor at the foot of my bed, drinking wine and Tori would not stop until I tried that stupid game.
"So anyways, how the hell did you become so addicted to that evil game Vega?" I asked taking a sip of my wine glass "I don't know. I was watching vine a couple of days ago, and all the viners were playing so I thought I'd try it" she said also taking a sip from her glass "Well that was a stupid idea" I said scoffing harmlessly, and Vega just laughed at me. "You're just mad because you didn't score any points" she said "Ok, that and because I think it's stupid to do what everyone does" I said pouring some more wine into my glass "Whatever floats your boat Jade" she said downing her glass.
"What, I'm serious!" I said with the most serious look I could put on, but eventually we ended up laughing. "Ok, I think we better stop drinking before we get drunk. Let's watch a movie." She said getting up and leaving my room, taking our bottle and glasses with her.
I plopped on my bed and turned the TV on. As usual, nothing good was on as I passed through the channels, until I saw Sheldon. I love The Big Bang Theory, though if anybody asks, I'll deny it. I just sat back and enjoyed the show, and I didn't realize Vega come into the room until she sat beside me "Yay, I love The Big Bang Theory" she said in her annoying cheery tone.
While Tori was almost doubling over laughing so much, I was completely fine, laughing to myself. "How do you not find this funny Jade?" she said recomposing herself and laying down on the other end of the bed, hands supporting her and feet moving up and down "I find it amusing, but there's no need to have a fit like you" I said laying down beside her and paying close attention to the show.
Halfway through the episode, I heard Tori shriek and fall off the bed "What the hell Tori?" I said "It's 10:15, and my curfew is 10:30! I gotta get home" she said changing out of the clothes she borrowed from me and pulling up her jeans quickly "Why don't you just stay over, call your dad and tell him you'll crash here" I simply say turning my attention back to the TV "Are you sure?" she said unsure "It's not like I'm gonna kill you Vega" I said, but she tensed up a bit "Relax," I said throwing a pillow at her "besides, we're kind of friends now right?" I finished still confused "Yea, I guess we kinda are" she said dialing into her phone and calling her dad. She explained the situation, and when she hung up, she put her phone on my bed side table.
While she was changing back into something more comfortable, I caught a glimpse of Vega's bare skin, and might I say, she had a hot body. Now, I'm not gay or anything like that, but I'm not blind either. I quickly turned away before she caught me looking at her and drifted my attention back to the TV, where Sheldon was being Sheldon. Tori resumed her previous position, but this time, it seemed as if she was closer to me. It made me kind of uncomfortable, but comfortable at the same time. I shift a little to the right, but as soon as I do, I feel like all the warmth from my body is gone, but I shake it off.
When the episode ended, Almost Human started, but I hated that program so I turned it off "It's getting late and I'm kind of tired" I said getting ready for bed, slipping under the covers. Tori did the same, and yawned. We were both tired, so I just turned off my lamp, and we were left in the darkness. As soon as I closed my eyes, I drifted off to sleep.
I opened my eyes, and I find myself in a bed that isn't mine, in a room that isn't mine. I sit up quickly and look around the room. Nope, definitely not fine. What am I doing here? Suddenly I sense something move on the bed "Jadey are you ok?" I expect to see anyone but Tori Vega laying on the bed next to me. Except, she looks a bit older, and she's wearing different clothes then when she went to sleep in. "Uhmm yeah. Where are we Vega?" I ask confused "What do you mean babe? You haven't called me Vega since high school. Are you sure you're okay sweetie?" she said giving me a kiss on the lips and looking into my eyes confused.
Wait the f up! First of all Vega would've never kissed me willingly, or call me babe or sweetie for that matter. As soon as I'm about to protest, two little kids come into the room. "Mommies you're up!" they said squealing and jumping up and down on the bed. One of the little twerps fell down and crashed down on me, but she just laughed "Morning mommy" she said giving me a peck on the cheek and sitting on my lap. MOMMY?! What is this? Some kind of twisted universe?! "Seriously Vega, is this some kind of prank?" I say removing the kid from my lap and looking seriously at Vega "Kids can you guys go get dressed for school, we'll be there soon" she said motioning for the kids to leave the room. As soon as they left, Vega looked at me concerned
"What's going on with you today Jade?" she said expecting an answer "I don't know! Why did that little twerp just call me mom and why the hell do you look like you're 26?" I say completely full out confused now "That's because I am 26 Jade, and those are our daughters. Are you okay sweetie? Do you need to take me to take you to the doctor or something" she said about to put her hands to my face, but I stopped her "What are you talking about? We're seniors in high school Vega" I said "Jade, we graduated 8 years ago sweetie, we got married 4 years ago, and we adopted the twins 3 years ago" she said in a serious tone not really understanding what was going on.
I quickly got up and ran to the door on our room, which I assumed was the washroom. I flicked on the lights and stared at the mirror. I looked like me, but I looked older, about 26 or 27. What the hell! I put my hands to my face and close my eyes hoping it was just some dream.
I sit up, in my own bed now. I feel around the bed and realize Vega is there, but she's wearing the clothes I lent her and I'm in my own room. Thankfully it was just a dream. This is just a challenge and nothing more, it's not like we're going to fall in love, get married and have kids. I shiver at the thought. I rub my eyes and I realize that a little bit of sunlight had found its way into my room. It's Wednesday morning, but we don't have school today because of some teacher's holiday or something. I find the clock on my bed side table and see that it's 6:30 a.m. Jeesh that dream had taken longer than I thought.
I get up and head for my bathroom. Thankfully I look 18 again. I wash my face and take a warm shower. I put on some clothes and go back to bed. I check my phone. Cat had texted me telling me we didn't have school, but she made it seem as if she was a little kid, using capital letters, smiley faces, thousands of exclamation points. I smiled at the thought of Cat writing this like an excited child. I have several Twitter notifications, but none of which mattered to me that much.
I set my phone down and look at Tori. She's shivering a bit, so I cover her up and she seems to get a little warmer. She snuggled into the covers, which made her look kinda cute. Wait, no.
I shake my head and head downstairs. I find my dad in the kitchen, drinking some coffee and reading some papers. "Hey dad" I sad "Hey Jade. I was just about to head out. Why are you up so early? Schools' only at 8: something right?" he said giving me a kiss on the forehead and leaving before I could answer. "Yeah dad, except I don't have school today. It's not like you're my dad and should know these things" I say quietly to myself
"I'm sorry Jade" I hear Tori say from the doorway. She walks over to me and grabs my hand, giving it a soft squeeze, before wrapping me in a hug. I'm not particularly fond of hugs, but I was not one for turning it down when someone hugged me, so I hugged her back. After a short moment she pulled back and went to sit on the counter. Feeling a just a little bit better, I pour some coffee for me and Vega and hand one to her. "Want something to eat?" I ask her opening the fridge even though I know there's nothing but water and beer that. My dad and I always eat out because my mom was the one who cooked our meals, but obviously she can't do that anymore "You know what Jade, why don't we go somewhere and eat? My treat" she said smiling "Sure" I said pushing the thought of my mom cooking to the back of my head.
We finished our coffees and headed up for my room to change. I packed some clothes and some other things Vega and I might need later. And soon enough we were both ready to leave.
As I locked the doors, Vega snatched the keys from me and made a beeline for the car "I'm driving!" she screamed as she got in the driver's seat. I chuckled to myself and followed her to my car. When I got in, I turned on the radio, some calm songs were playing, and Vega pulled out of the driveway.
It was a comfortable silence between us as Vega drove us to wherever we were going. I looked out the window and my mind drifted off. As I thought of my dream I wondered if it was remotely possible for Vega and I to fall in love and start a life together. No, definitely that would never happen, it couldn't. But at the same time, the thought didn't bother me as much as it should have…
