A/N: Hey all. So sorry for the long wait. My school semester has been really busy which is why I haven't been updating as much as I would like. Anyways, here's chapter 14. Please read and review to let me know if you like it.

Monday morning was a brutal awakening for Rachel. From cleaning her room the previous night to make space for Will, as well as listening to the constant inappropriate comments fall from Santana's mouth, left her exhausted. She wondered what made her say that Santana could live with them, having three years of experience dealing with her personality. She reminded herself that it wasn't a permanent thing though and that she could stick it out.

As the alarm clock blared, Rachel pushed snooze and then rolled onto her back where she placed a gentle hand on her belly. She began a pattern, first starting from the top and then making her way down and around her belly button. She was not showing yet, but she knew it was only a matter of time before she would. She continued her patterns and enjoyed the feeling of her small stomach.

After a couple of minutes, she stilled her hand and couldn't help but look down. A life was growing inside of her. The idea still amazed her and the fact that it was created with Will, astonished her. Regardless of all that happened though, she had accepted the baby and was beginning to feel the excitement of the pregnancy.

"You'll be here in eight months," Rachel whispered, holding her hand just under her stomach.

"Rachel, are you awake?" Kurt asked outside her curtain of a door.

"Yeah, I'll be out in a bit," Rachel stammered a bit as she removed her hand. She slid out of bed and then headed to the kitchen.

"I made some eggs and toast," Kurt said as Rachel walked out, suddenly feeling a bit queasy. She grabbed her stomach again out of comfort but sat at the table anyway.

"Thanks Kurt, you didn't have to do this," Rachel said as a plate was placed in front of her.

"I just thought you could use a break, with all the stress you've had and a new roommate, so to speak," Kurt said as he glanced towards the couch were Santana was still peacefully sleeping.

"Well, I appreciate it," Rachel said as she took a bite of the eggs. Feeling a sudden rush in her stomach after the first bite, Rachel bolted from her chair and ran to the bathroom in her room.

Thankfully, she was able to make it in time before her contents ended up all over the floor.

"Rachel," Kurt said as he rushed behind her, worry on his face.

"Do any of you know how to be quiet in the morning?" Santana yelled as she groggily walked into the bathroom as well. "I can deal with Mr. Sing Song making breakfast this early but this puking thing is going to get on my nerves," Santana said as she pointed towards Rachel at the toilet.

"Santana, she's pregnant, give her a break. It's normal to have morning sickness," Kurt replied angrily as he tried to defend Rachel who was too busy taking care of herself to justify her actions.

"Yeah whatever, but if I have to hear her puking her guts out every morning, I'm going to go all Lima Heights," Santana said as she walked away, heading back to the couch, Kurt rolling his eyes in return.

"Just ignore her, Rachel. You would think that since we graduated she would be a bit nicer," Kurt said with a small laugh, hoping to make at least a small smile appear on Rachel's face.

"Are you okay, though?" Kurt asked, once he saw that Rachel had yet to move from the floor.

"I think so," Rachel finally said as she shakily got up off the floor, reaching for the table top to help balance her as she lifted herself up.

"Welcome to motherhood," Kurt said with a grin while Rachel gave him a slight glare, not exactly thrilled with his words. She knew morning sickness was heavy in the first trimester, but didn't expect it to hit her randomly.

Rachel washed her hands and then walked back out to the kitchen, taking her previous seat, but the sight of breakfast still made her stomach turn.

"I don't think I can eat this anymore. I'm sorry, Kurt," Rachel said as she felt bad for pushing his home made breakfast away. The sight of it though was too much to handle.

"That's understandable," Kurt said as he took her plate and put it in the sink.

"I think I'm going to just have some tea before I get ready for class," Rachel said as she stood up and made her way to the kitchen stove. She reached for a cup and a tea bag and set the kettle on high.

"Maybe you shouldn't go to class today," Kurt suggested as he watched Rachel move around the kitchen. She was still a bit green and he didn't want her to get sick while in class.

"No, I'm fine. I can't let this slow me down and besides, this week is when I find out if I am invited to perform in the Winter Showcase or not," Rachel replied sternly. Despite the hectic weekend and the surprise of her pregnancy, Rachel did not forget about the envelopes that Carmen would be handing out this week at NYADA. She wanted to perform more than anything and thus had to stick it out at school with her pregnancy. She wasn't going to let it get in the way of her becoming a star.

"Okay, just take it easy though, please?" Kurt asked as he looked at her for reassurance, while she silently nodded at him in agreement. He knew the Winter Showcase was a big deal for NYADA students, especially Rachel though because she was a freshman. No freshman had been invited to perform at the showcase for the last five years, so it would be a huge honor if Rachel received an envelope.

"I will," Rachel said, knowing that he was worried about her. She was grateful to have a friend like him who actually cared about what she was going through though.

"You better," Kurt said in a demanding but still playful tone. Rachel just rolled her eyes at him in return.

"I'm going to go get ready," Rachel said as she noticed the time. It was almost seven and she had class at eight. It wouldn't take her long to get ready but it would be to get to NYADA.

Kurt nodded at her in understanding and watched her head back to her room.

About twenty minutes later, Rachel walked back out of her room dressed and ready to go. She said her good byes and then made her way to school.

While she sat on the subway, she felt her phone vibrate and smiled as it was Will.

"Hey," Rachel said in a relaxed manner.

"Hi, Rach. How's your morning going?" Will asked as he sat on the bed in his hotel room.

"Not great, the morning sickness has started," Rachel said.

"I'm sorry. Was it awful?" he asked, having no idea what morning sickness was like. When Terri faked her pregnancy, she never faked morning sickness either, so he didn't have to experience taking care of her.

"In one word, yes," Rachel replied, thinking when was vomiting not awful?

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to take care of you," Will said as he rubbed a hand over his neck, feeling guilty that he was still in DC. He wasn't doing his job of being a helpful partner, but there wasn't much he could do when he was miles away.

"It's okay. You'll be here soon though, right?" Rachel asked, wondering if he talked to the panel.

"I should be. I wrote my letter of resignation and now the board just has to approve it. They said they would let me know today," Will said as he hoped that they would let him go. He explained in the letter the unexpected circumstances he had with his partner. Even though he and Rachel weren't even dating yet, he felt he had a better chance of sympathy if he labeled her as his girlfriend.

"That's good. I cleaned out some space for you so, whenever you are ready to come, the loft will be ready for you," Rachel said with a smile.

"Thanks Rachel. It means a lot. How's Santana been?" Will asked, not exactly looking forward to be sharing an apartment with her. It was hard enough sharing a small choir room with her back at McKinley.

"The usual, I hope she lightens up a bit, I mean Kurt and I did let her stay with us," Rachel explained.

"Maybe you should try and be her friend, Rach. I know you guys aren't super close but maybe this is an opportunity for you to be," Will explained. He knew Rachel never really got along with Santana except at the end of senior year when they sang a Whitney Houston song together in glee club. He thought that by her being a roommate they could bond, thus making living together in the future easier.

"I'll try but some of her comments are just so, so," Rachel said as she tried to find the right words to describe Santana's evil yet clever ways of talking.

"Inappropriate? Uncalled for? Mean?" Will said with a slight chuckle.

"Yes, all of those," Rachel said in agreement.

"Well, Rachel, you just need to ignore them, okay? When she sees that they don't offend you anymore, she'll stop using them," Will explained.

"I hope you're right. I just hope she's not mean when you move in," Rachel said quietly.

"I know she will be but I can take it, Rach. I've had to take it for three years with me being her teacher and not allowing to back talk her as a student," Will explained.

"You have a point. Well I have to go before I'm late for class but I'll talk to you later. Thanks for calling," Rachel said with a smile.

"You're welcome and have a good class. Please don't over work yourself," Will said as he reminded her to be as stress free as possible.

"I won't, don't worry, bye, Will," Rachel said smiled at his thoughtfulness. That was the Will that she knew and cared for. The Will that was concerned for others and looked out for them and their safety.

"Bye, Rach," Will replied as he hung up as well.

Rachel got off the subway as soon as her call with Will had ended. She quickly made her way into NYADA and headed to the dance studio. She breathed in relief that Cassie was not yet in the room. She dropped her bag down and began to stretch, lifting her leg up on the ballet bar.

"Okay guys, listen up. Cassie is sick so I'm filling in for her this week," the voice said. Rachel turned around in shock at the voice. She groaned when her eyes landed on him. He gave her a slight smile in return but Rachel could not return the favor.

"Everyone pair up to work on some warm up techniques. Rachel, care to be my partner?" Brody asked while Rachel just stared. He walked over anyways and grabbed her hand in his. He placed his other on her waist and the two began to move.

"How have you been?" Brody asked as it had been a substantial amount of time since the two had talked.

"Good, I went home for Thanksgiving," Rachel stammered. She wasn't ready to talk to Brody. She half hoped that he would have just disappeared from her life and that she wouldn't have to deal with him when she got back home.

"Can we please start over, Rachel? I miss you," he explained, causing Rachel to roll her eyes at him.

"I don't think that's a good idea. You hurt me and I don't trust you anymore," Rachel said as she directed her eyes away from him, not wanting to look into his eyes of pleading.

"I told you that didn't mean anything. It was a stupid mistake," Brody said as he still held tightly onto Rachel's waist, directing her across the dance floor.

"It doesn't matter. I've moved on to bigger things," Rachel replied sternly.

"Like what? An audition or something?" Brody asked while Rachel shook her head no.

"No, it's nothing with school. It's something much more important," Rachel commented, keeping things vague, not wanting to tell him anything about the pregnancy if she could help it.

"What?" Brody asked, curious to know what Rachel was hiding.

"Nothing, and I don't feel comfortable telling you anyways," Rachel said, still following his lead across the floor.

"Then I deserve a second chance," Brody insisted as he picked her up off the ground by the waist, holding her over his head for a few seconds, and then putting her safely back down on the ground.

"No, you don't," Rachel replied as she tried to regain her balance.

"Rachel, you're being ridiculous" Brody replied.

"I'm not okay. I have my reasons," Rachel defended, hoping he would drop the conversation all together.

"Why can't you just tell me what they are?" Brody asked, still pushing. He wasn't going to give up.

"You're a cheater and I'm with someone else, end of discussion," Rachel finally said.

"Someone else?" Brody questioned.

"Yes and you saw him at my apartment not too long ago," Rachel said as she remembered that Will was there the weekend Brody dropped by.

"That older guy?" Brody said in confusion.

"He's not that old okay? I mean there is an age difference between us, but we've known each other for a long time and now we've decided to start something," Rachel explained.

"Great," Brody said as he rolled his eyes in irritation.

All of a sudden as Rachel was being twirled by him, she felt a pain in her stomach. She immediately let go and rushed out of the dance studio leaving Brody confused.

Rachel rushed to the nearest bathroom and spilled her stomach into the bowl. She sat on the cold tiled floor for a few moments before standing up and walking to the sink. She sighed, frustrated.

She had already been sick about an hour earlier, and now she was throwing up again. Maybe it was the tea settling in her stomach, or maybe the dance moves were more intense than she thought causing her to get motion sickness.

Whatever the case, Rachel dreaded the first trimester of her pregnancy now because she knew morning sickness was going to be a common reoccurrence.

Breathing deeply to herself, she headed back to the dance studio to grab her bag and head home. She would have continued dancing, but she didn't feel like dancing with Brody anymore with his constant interrogating of her relationships. In a way, the morning sickness was a blessing.

"Rachel, are you okay?" Brody asked when she stepped back into the room. Rachel nodded as she bent down to pick up her bag.

"I'm just going to head home. I'm not feeling too well to continue dancing," Rachel said while Brody nodded at her understandingly.

Rachel quietly walked out of the room, feeling a little down than before she had arrived. She thought she would be able to handle school and her pregnancy, but the random spurts of morning sickness made her doubtful. She knew it was normal but it still upset her that there was little so do about it.

Rachel hailed down a taxi cab outside and took the short ride back to the loft. As she stepped out and paid the driver, her phone rang. It was the doctor finally calling her back to schedule an appointment.

"Hello?" Rachel answered while she waited patiently on the other line.

"Yes this is she," Rachel added.

"This Thursday at 11 am?" Rachel repeated. "That should work, yes. Okay great, thank you," Rachel said as she made her way up the stairs reaching the sliding front door, a slight smile on her face.

"Rachel, what are you doing back?" Kurt asked, surprised. Her class still had another half an hour before it was over. For her to be back home so soon, made him question if anything was wrong.

"Morning sickness again and an unpleasant encounter with Brody," Rachel replied with a glare. Kurt gave her a look of sympathy in return.

"Did you tell him?" Kurt asked.

"No," Rachel simply said. "And I'm not going to," she added. "Frankly, I'm tired of telling people my business," Rachel added.

"Good, you don't have to tell him or anyone else anything. This is your life and pregnancy and you can deal with it however you want," Kurt said in agreement.

"Thank you. I don't know how you're so understanding all the time," Rachel said as she leaned in and hugged him.

"Where's Santana?" Rachel asked as the loft seemed quiet and peaceful.

"Out trying to look for a job or something," Kurt explained. "She left about an hour ago," he added while Rachel relaxed a bit.

"Any news on the show case?" Kurt asked, while Rachel frowned.

"No, and I'm preparing myself not to get one so," Rachel added as she crossed her arms over her chest, a look of disappointment showing through.

"Oh come on, Rachel. You're the most talented freshman that school has seen in the past five years. They would be crazy not to let you perform," Kurt said, talking directly to her with reassuring confidence. Rachel gave him a small smile.

"I know, but why didn't I get one today?" Rachel asked.

"I'm sure Carmen hasn't handed them out yet. Just have patience and you'll get one," Kurt said as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Thanks Kurt, for everything," Rachel said, while Kurt smiled at her.

"The doctor's called by the way. I have an appointment on Thursday," Rachel said as silence crept into the room.

"That's great. Will Mr. Schue be here?" Kurt asked, knowing that he wasn't supposed to arrive until Friday or later in the week.

"I'm not sure. I hope so. It's the first appointment," Rachel replied.

"Well if he can't make it, I am available to go with you instead," Kurt offered.

"Thanks, I'll let you know but hopefully you won't be needed," Rachel said.

"Okay," Kurt said as silence began to creep into the room.

"How are things with Blaine?" Rachel asked. She hadn't talked to Kurt much about the break up, but she knew that they were at least talking again.

"Fine I guess. I still find it weird to talk to him though," Kurt explained as slight sadness appeared on his face. He loved Blaine, but something about being a cheater changed him and Kurt just couldn't fully forgive him yet.

"Six months ago did you ever think things would turn out like this?" Kurt asked, while Rachel looked at him, thinking deeply. Six months ago they were all still in high school. She was with still with Finn and Kurt was with Blaine. They were graduating and starting their new lives. It was scary to think about how much had changed in just six months. Now, she and Finn broke up, him still angry with her. Blaine had cheated and Kurt didn't get into NYADA with her. Most life changing of all, she was pregnant. Plain and simple.

"No, I can't say that," Rachel said, face now showing a hint of sadness of how much her life had changed in such a short amount of time. She had dreams, goals for the future that now all had to be changed. She was embracing the newness of pregnancy, but it still hurt a bit to think about what could have been.

"Well anyways, I'm sure we're on a better path," Kurt said trying to bring the happiness back into the room.

"I hope your right," Rachel said.

"I think Santana's back," Kurt said as he heard a door slid open.

"Great," Rachel muttered out.

"Where is everyone?" Santana asked as she entered the loft.

"Back here," Kurt replied.

"Having a good heart to heart?" Santana said with a smirk.

"Santana, why do you always have to be so mean?" Rachel asked while Santana just shrugged her shoulders at them.

"I like to keep it real," she simply said.

"Yeah well it's getting a little old," Rachel replied.

"Whatever," Santana said as she rolled her eyes in return.

"What did you buy?" Kurt asked as he noticed she was holding a bag in her hand.

"Some ear plugs. When Schue comes to live here at the end of the week I don't want to have to hear Berry and him doing it all night, do you?" she asked Kurt with a look of disgust while Kurt turned up his lip, mimicking her emotions.

"Really, Santana?" Rachel commented, annoyance showing through her voice.

"Well you don't have any doors to the rooms and a curtain can only do so much," Santana explained.

"Well you don't have to worry about that. Will and I aren't going to be, be," Rachel said as she suddenly felt awkward talking about her and Will's sex life with her best friend and high school acquaintance.

"Having sex? Doing the dirty? The horizontal tango?" Santana suggested giving an awkward thrust motion with her arms, while both Rachel and Kurt looked at her in disgust.

"Santana! That's highly inappropriate," Kurt commented, while Santana just ignored him.

"Why? Because Berry is too much of a goody goody to even do it?" Santana asked.

"No because Will and I aren't even in a relationship," Rachel shouted, hoping it would shut her up.

"Berry, the one night stand master. Who would of thought?" Santana questioned out loud.

"Okay, I can't take it anymore. I can't take your comments," Rachel said as she got up and made her way to the front of the loft, looking for Santana's bag.

"Oh come on. You need to grow a pair, like seriously," Santana said as she watched Rachel look for her things. She was just joking but apparently it was too much.

"No, because we have had to deal with your attitude for three years and this is Kurt and I's loft, so if you can't shut up with your comments then you need to leave," Rachel said, anger boiling through her.

Santana stared at her in shock. She had never seen Rachel be so bold in talking back to her and she wasn't sure how it made her feel. She folded her arms and looked back and forth between the pair.

Breathing out deeply, Santana finally spoke.

"Fine, sorry. Sometimes I get a little carried away. I can admit that," Santana said while Kurt stared at her in shock because her words sounded like an apology.

"Are you saying you can be a little nicer?" Kurt asked with a hopeful smile.

"If it will make everyone happy, then fine, I'll try," Santana replied with a trying smile.

"Thank you, was that so hard?" Rachel asked, relieved.

"Under one condition and then I will leave this question totally alone," Santana suddenly said while Rachel now gave her a look of worry and Kurt amusement.

"Fine, what it is?" Rachel asked, slightly afraid of the question.

"How big is Schues," Santana started to say as she put her hands up for measurement but Rachel threw her own hands up in the air in disgust while Kurt quickly walked away, muttering how inappropriate of a question that was.

"You don't have to answer now, but I'll be waiting," Santana said with a laugh while Rachel went to her room. She pulled the curtain back and shook her head. She should have known it was going to be a dirty question as Santana's mind was like that twenty four seven. She would never reveal that type of information out loud though. It was personal and for only her to know.

She sat down on the bed once again and breathed out deeply, trying to relax herself. It was only Monday yet it was already a hectic day. Rachel could only hope that by Thursday, she would have her letter from Carmen, the baby appointment would go great and Quinn and Will would be on their way.
