"What are you talking about, Peach was with us" Lucas said, "Oh no, I'm just joking, SHE'S LITERALLY NOT WITH YOU GUYS" Huey yelled, "Well, then look for her, what are we doing just standing around" Snake growled, as the fighters split up around the beach, looking for any signs of the princess, Snake looked around the location they met at, as he saw some bubbles coming from the ocean, "Son of a… I FOUND HER" Snake yelled, as everyone ran over to Snake, "Well, where is she" Red asked, as Snake pointed at the bubbles coming from the water, "She's underwater… SHE COULD DROWN, WHY ARE WE JUST STANDING HERE" Huey yelled, as everyone started to panic, "I got this" Proto Man said, as he dove into the water, sinking down to the bottom, as he found Peach, but with a giant purple octopus with a purple crown, an it was pretty shiny, and the octopus was made out of carboard. "HEY BUDDY, PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE" Proto Man yelled, as he fired a powerful at the tentacles, the octopus yelled in pain, and Peach swam to the surface, as Proto Man bounced off the Octopus, an was sent high into the air, landing on the island.
"You okay Princess" Snake asked, Peach nodded, coughing out a little water, "Good, cause Mario would have killed us if he found out you went missing" Huey said, as the octopus got out of the water, "…Well, were in a pickle aren't we" Huey said, as the battle started, the shiny octopus slammed his tentacle down onto the ground, making the fighters jump out of the way, Snake threw a grenade at the Octopus, as it exploded, and did little damage, Paper Mario had an idea, as he motioned Lucas and Snake to come over towards him, "What's up" Lucas said, as Paper Mario took out a small piece of carboard, and threw it into the air, as it turned into a huge hammer, much to the shock of the other two smashers, as he threw them over to the hammer, causing them to grab it, as Paper Mario grabbed the end of the hammer, and slammed it down onto the octopus, as it turned into a regular sheet of paper, and the fighters were transported to a carboard plain, as the octopus was attached to a kite, "SINCE WHEN CAN YOU DO THIS" Huey yelled, Paper Mario didn't look at him, and motioned Snake to start running with the kite, "Okay, I don't know why" Snake muttered, as he started running, and the kite started to go higher, "Oh, I get it now, Lucas, take the kite and run faster" Huey said, Lucas nodded, and took the kite, running as fast as he could, the kite went higher into the sky, "Now Mario, you take it" the paint can said, as Paper Mario took the kite, and took off, running even faster than the two, and the string the kite was being held reached its limit, as the paper fighter passed the kite to Snake, who just kept running, as Paper Mario jumped up onto the line, ran up it towards the kite, taking out his hammer, and slamming the kite down, as it barreled towards the ground with a huge amount of force, as it slammed down onto the carboard ground, "What… just happened" Snake ask, as the world returned to normal, and now the Octopus was made, as it started to spit out poison towards the fighters.
Paper Mario quickly summoned a sponge to deflect the poison back at the Octopus, damaging itself, as Charizard summoned Red, who spewed out some flames, Proto Man summoned a rock and threw it t the Octopus, as Peach hit it with a golf club, and Snake sent out a missile, doing a lot of damage to the Octopus, as it screamed in pain, and returned to the ocean. "Well… yeah, I don't have anything to say about that" Proto Man said, "Well, let's keep moving, we are almost done, one more shield" Snake said, as he promptly lead the group towards the beach, "HALT, what are you doing on this island" a voice said, from behind, as the fighters turned around, seeing the Mii gunner, raising her arm cannon, "Great, first an octopus, now this" Snake sighed, "What, can't handle women, looks like we'll have to teach you how" a voice called out from the other side, as they saw Shantae, ready to fight, "This day just keeps getting better" Snake sighed again, as he pulled out his RPG-7, and shot a missile, as the Mii Gunner destroyed it, and the battle began, Lucas shot a PK FIRE at Shantae, who dodged out of the way and casted her own magic fireball, which slowly went over towards the fighters, and was dodged easily, Paper Mario ran up to Shantae and slammed his hammer down, as Shantae rolled out of the way and used her hair to hit the Paper fighter, Squirtle retreated into his shell and launched itself toward Shantae, knocking her to the left, as Paper Mario took out a battle card, obtaining an ice flower, and throwing ice projectiles at Shantae, freezing her, as Peach used a frying pan to send her over towards a wall, doing some damage.
The Mii dodged a punch from Snake and kicked the mercenary in the shins, before grabbing him, and throwing him over to the left, Proto Man sent out a cloud, which sent out a strike of lightning down to the Mii, shocking her, as Snake threw a grenade, which exploded, and was sent over to Charizard, who did a dash attack, sending the Mii over to Snake, who kicked the Mii down into the sand of the island, Shantae transformed into a monkey, and launched her self over towards Peach, but was whacked away by Paper Mario, as Red took out Ivysaur, who sent out green projectiles at Shantae, doing some damage, as Paper Mario did a drill stomp, sending the half genie into the sand, Shantae then transformed into a crab, and clawed at the feet of the paper fighter, doing some damage, as Red took out Squirtle again, and charged at the crab, as she was lifted into a wave the Squirtle was riding on, as Paper Mario threw a hurl hammer at Shantae, sending her down back onto the ground, "I yield" the half genie croaked, as she lost conscious, the Mii was at her limit, as she fired a powerful blast from her arm cannon, which Snake dodged, as Ivysaur grabbed her from behind, and slammed her into the ground, as Proto Man came in with a slide, and Snake ended it off with him rolling into the Mii, "I yield" the Mii said, as she fell asleep.
A few hours later:
The Mii woke up, as she saw Paper Mario cooking up a few steaks with some of his thing cards, and the others waiting, "Uhm, hey, what happened" the Mii said, getting the attention of the fighters, "Do you remember Master Core" the princess asked, "Yeah, the thing that we destroyed during the fourth tournament" the Mii gunner replied, "Well, imagine that… but way worse" Peach said, "Well, what are we waiting form we have a world to save" the Mii said, "Hey, keep it down, some of us are trying to sleep" Shantae moaned, as Paper Mario finished making the steaks, and handed them out to the fighters, "Y'know, maybe Larry was right, we should be chefs" Huey said, "Larry who" Proto Man asked, "Larry, as in one of the Koopalings, he said that we should be a chef" Huey explained. "Well, he's lying, this steak sucks" Lucas said, making Paper Mario and Huey fall to the ground, "Well, it doesn't suck… that bad" Peach mumbled, "Okay, then I'd like to see you do better" Huey growled, as Paper Mario prepared a few steaks, "Okay then" Lucas said, as he went up to the meat, after a while, the kid served the steaks to the other fighters, "This… ain't bad kid" Snake said, "Show off" Huey mumbled, as everyone enjoyed their meals.
The next day:
The fighters woke up, as the sun beat down onto them, and they started to explore the island, as they encountered a spirit, this one was King K. Rool, and the battle was going to take place at Garden of Hope, and the battle began, King K. Rool was gigantic, and had super slow armor, not only that, he was super strong. Snake threw a grenade, which exploded, and didn't do much damage, as King K. Rool slowly made his way over to the fighters, as Shantae summoned some fire magic, which slowly made it's way over to the King, and didn't do any damage, "Hey Mario, maybe… we should use one of our thing cards, they have always been pretty handy in the past, how about this one" Huey gave Mario the Magnifying Glass card, as Paper Mario summoned it, and the entire world turned into a city, as it was nighttime, as a huge Magnifying Glass came, and made Mario gigantic, taller than the Kremling leader, as the paper fighter ran up to the spirit fighter, preforming a few jumps, and then turning back to normal, and doing some damage, but not much, as the Mii Gunner charged up a powerful blast from her arm cannon, which did do some damage, but Proto Man ended it off with a cloud of electricity, ending the battle, and the fighters moved on, entering the orange portal, and coming out in a land that was unfamiliar to them, as they were accompanied by a monstrous roar, "…Did you guys hear that" Huey asked, "Yeah" Shantae said, "Well, I guess we keep moving… right" Huey said, as the same roar was heard, as Rathalos studied its trespassers, "W-W-WHAT IS THAT" Huey screamed, as Rathalos just kept staring. "…I don't know if it's looking at us, or something else, we should keep moving" Huey said, as the fighters moved on, encountering the next spirit fighter, this one was Steve, and the battle was going to take place Virtual Boy, and the battle began.
Steve was accompanied by Little Mac, Mega Man, and Roy, as Roy charged towards the fighters, using his sword to stab them, but they dodged the attack, as Paper Mario used his hammer to do multiple hits on Roy, doing some damage, as Snake threw a grenade over towards Steve, who caught it and threw it back at the mercenary, who dodged out of the way, and rolled into the blocky human, doing some damage, as Little Mac charged over to Snake with a punch in the back, doing a lot of damage, and sending Snake over to the right of the stage, as Shantae ran up to Little Mac and did a leg sweep, before transforming into a monkey, and latching onto the boxer, and doing a few punches, Paper Mario preformed a drill stomp, before summoning a koopa, and stomping on it, and kicking it over towards Roy, who narrowly dodged the shell, as he was blasted in the back by the Mii, sending the fighter out of the arena. Snake growled as he was struck by Steve's golden Shovel, as Peach preformed a hip dash from behind, hitting Steve in the back of the head, and doing some damage, as Proto Man preformed a leg sweep, then doing a powerful slide, sending the blocky fighter over to Snake, who simply pulled out a grenade launcher, and shot a few grenades, doing a lot of damage, and sending Steve out of the arena, Squirtle blew out a gust of water at the boxer, who dodged it, and sped up to the Squirtle, trying to punch it, but it was to small, and Little Mac missed the punch, as Shantae shot some fire at him, and then kicked him straight in the back, doing some damage, as Red took out Charizard, and the Pokémon charged at the boxer, doing a lot of damage, and ending the battle. The fighters moved on, defeating a few spirits along the way, as they approached Rathalos, who simply flew away from them, "Why did he fly away, is he scared of us" Shantae asked, Snake shrugged, not knowing the beast, it could probably leading them to their doom. "But this is the thing in the portal, this could be the way to shut down the thing's shield's, we need to follow it" Red said.
"The kid makes a point, we need to take it down before it takes us down" Snake said, as he promptly lead the group, before they were stopped by a blast of fire, "This again" Huey said, as he went up, a blast of ice nearly missed him, "Okay, that's it, just show yourself, we're not afraid of you" Huey said, "Well… you should be" a voice of a kid was heard, as Sora stepped onto the path the fighter's were following, "Oh great, another kid" Snake sighed, "Hey, I'm more than just a kid" Sora snapped. "A kid with a key sword thingy" Huey said, "Why you… stop distracting me, any way's, you aren't getting any farther, you want to get to Rathalos, you go through me" Sora said, as he raised his Keyblade, "Rathalos, hm, well, if you say so kid" Shantae said, as she stepped in front of everyone, taking a fighting stance, "All right, if you want to do it, you can do it" Sora said, as the world turned into Final Destination, and the battle began. Sora immediately shot some lightning, before rushing in and slashing his keyblade, Shantae dodged the attack, and whacked him in the back with her hair, doing some damage, Sora got back up off the ground and charged at the half genie, using his keyblade to whack the fighter into the air, before sending some fire toward her, then jumping up and whacking Shantae over to the far left of the stage, "What a waste, and here I thought I was expecting someone to actually fight me" Sora taunted, as Shantae got up and started to dance, "…What the hell are you doing" Sora asked, as Shantae transformed into an elephant, and charged at the Keyblade wielder, smacking him, and sending him over to the far left, as the half genie then transformed into a crab, and made her way over to Sora, and chomped his toe, causing him to yell out in pain, and for Shantae to turn back to normal, shoot some fire at him, and summon a storm cloud, which electrocuted the unawaken fighter, "I…yield" Sora growled, as he collapsed to the floor.
A few hours later:
Sora woke up, having a horrible pain in his head, "Good, your awake, now, we can keep moving" Huey said eager to move on, "But… how did we get here, where is here, and what's happening" Sora asked, "We'll explain on the way, let's go" Huey said, as the fighters moved on, approaching a spirit fighter, this one is Simon, and the battle was going to take place at Pictochat, and the battle began. But, Simon didn't show up at first, Shogunyan did, as he charged at the fighters, unsheathing his sword, as Sora countered it with his keyblade, sending Shogunyan over to the right of the stage, right over to Snake, who rolled into Shogunyan, and was knocked even farther to the left of the stage, as Proto Man shot a powerful blast, sending Shogunyan off the arena, and he wasn't able to get back on. Next came Mega Man, who was holding the Super Scope, and fired rapidly at the fighters, Proto man used his shield to deflect them back at Mega Man, which did little damage, Peach snuck up from behind, and used her magic to send the robot into the air, as Snake launched a missile, sending Mega Man higher into the air, and Charizard sent Mega Man out of the arena, by doing a dash attack upwards, the next two were Ryu and Ken, who started to attack Snake and Paper Mario, getting a good amount of damage on them, as Sora turned into his second form, and attacked Ken, doing a pretty good amount of damage on him, before electrocuting him, and getting out of his second form, Snake then did a few punches, followed by a kick, sending the spirit fighter over towards the Mii Gunner, who grabbed Ken and threw him upwards, and then firing a few shots from his arm cannon, Ryu shot a Shakunetsu Hadoken at Paper Mario, who dodged it and lay down a bomb, which exploded, sending Ryu over to Shantae, who grabbed him and threw him to the left, over to Peach, who spun her dress around, getting Ryu along with the spin, and sending him over to Proto Man, who threw a huge boulder at Ryu, knocking him out of the arena.
Ken jumped out of the way of the grenade as it exploded, as Sora used his keyblade to repeatedly slash Ken in the back, sending the fighter out of the arena, the next fighter was Sonic, who quickly homing attacked Charizard, sending the Pokémon over to the left of the stage, Snake put a C4 down onto the ground, as he waited Sonic to make his way over, Paper Mario quickly shifted through his cards and pulled out the worn-out jump, which he used, but got hurt due to the spikes Sonic had, Proto Man threw boomerang made out of scissors, before shooting out some electricity, doing some damage to the hedgehog, before Sonic preformed a spin dash, making his way over to Snake, who rolled out of the way and activated the C4, doing a lot of damage, as the Mii Gunner fired a blast from her arm cannon, as Peach did a hip dash, and Sora shot some fire magic, sending the fighter out of the arena, now, it was Simon, who walked forward and lash his whip, and occasionally threw a cross or holy water, Lucas shot a PK Fire at Simon, who took little damage from the attack, as Snake preformed a knee jab, and a head bash, this did some damage, as Shantae shot some fire at the vampire killer, who got hit in the back with the fire, as Lucas used his stick to send Simon over to the right of the stage, and for Paper Mario to use his drill stomp move, doing a lot of damage, and the fighter turned back into a spirit, and the battle ended. The fighters continued to make their way over to Rathalos, as they encountered the next spirit fighter, this one was a Mii Brawler, and the battle was going to take place at Emerald Hill Zone, and the battle began. The Mii Brawler sported a suit that was of Sonic's best friend Tails, and the Mii had a jetpack, and there was a hostile assist trophy, this one was Knuckles. Snake didn't waste time a pulled out his RPG-7, but Knuckles quickly punched him, sending him over to the left of the stage, as the Mii Brawler charged at the Mii Gunner, who shot a blast from the arm cannon, and was knocked to the left of the stage, as Paper Mario was about to use his hammer, but Knuckles preformed a homing attack, sending Paper Mario to the ground, as Snake threw a grenade, exploding, and doing a little bit of damage to the Assist Trophy, as Sora slammed his Keyblade onto the Mii, who was sent over to the left, for Proto Man to grab, and throw to the ground, before blasting him, and sending the Mii upwards, then shooting a tornado upwards, doing a lot of damage to the Mii, Snake dodged a punch from Knuckles and did a leg sweep, as Paper Mario preformed a drill stomp, sending Knuckles into the ground, before Knuckles dug upwards, hitting Ivysaur, and sending the Pokémon upwards, as Lucas used PK Fire, doing damage to the Assist Trophy, as Snake did a knee jab, and a head bash, doing a lot of damage, and sending the Assist Trophy out of the arena, the Mii Brawler used his jetpack to stay in the sky, Lucas used PK Thunder, and sent a ball of electricity up towards the Mii, who didn't expect it, and took the blow, as Snake then shot a missile at the Brawler, who was then knocked out of the arena.
The fighters finally made their way to Rathalos again, who simply flew away, up to his nesting area, and let out a monstrous roar, "There it is guys, this is how we win, we destroy Rathalos, and we destroy the ball of light, got it" Huey asked, the fighters nodded, as they made there way over to the nesting area, as they encountered a spirit fighter that blocked the way, this one was Luigi, and the battle was going to take place at Gamer, and the battle began. Luigi wasn't going to be out there for a while, instead, Pac-Man was out there, followed by Donkey Kong, Richter, Duck Hunt, and Ken, Ken shot a Hadoken at the fighters, as Donkey Kong charged at them, before rolling into Shantae, who was sent over to the right of the stage, Pac-Man attacked Snake by throwing a fire hydrant at him, the mercenary dodged out of the way and quickly disappeared, as missiles came in out of nowhere, hitting the spirit fighters, and doing a lot of damage, Richter and Ken were sent out of the arena because of the missiles, as Snake appeared again, he got punched by Pac-Man, and the kicked, before getting damage by Inky. The Duck Hunt dog was dodging shots that came out of nowhere, and the shots damaged Peach, sending her upwards, before she repeatedly kicked the ground, hurting the dog in the process, as Paper Mario used his Eek Hammer to smack the spirit fighters, doing some damage on them, as Sora came in with repeated Keyblade slashes, sending the dog and the duck out of the arena, Snake blew up a C4 on Pac-Man, before shooting a missile at the spirit fighter, as Proto Man shot a hard knuckle at Pac, as Snake finished Pac-Man off, doing a knee jab, and a head bash, and sending the fighter out of the arena. Squirtle hit Donkey Kong in the chest, as the Pokémon sent the ape over towards Shantae, who used her hair to whack DK repeatedly, before summoning a cloud, and zapping DK with electricity, as Red took out Charizard, who spewed some flames, and then dashed into DK, sending him out of the arena, Luigi appeared, as he ran away from the fighters, mainly because one heavy hit would end Luigi, Snake shot a missile at the spirit fighter, as it hit the plumber in the back, and ended the battle.
The fighters made their way up the stone steps, heading over to Rathalos, who simply just was gone, "Hey, where did Rathalos go, wasn't he just here" Huey asked, as Rathalos flew in, landing on the ground and letting out a roar that blew the fighters off down the stone steps, as Rathalos quickly shot fireballs at the fighters, who dodged out of the way of the attack, "Okay, so that's how you want to play then, Mario, let's finish this" Huey said, Paper Mario nodded, as he quickly summoned a bomb, and as Rathalos roared, he threw it into the mouth of the beast, who swallowed it, and it blew up in the belly, causing Rathalos to scream in pain, and charge at the fighters, who didn't expect the attack and took some damage from the attack, Snake shot a missile at the beast, which did do little damage, as Lucas shot a PK Fire, which also did little damage, Paper Mario preformed an iron jump on the head of the beast, doing some damage, but not a lot. Rathalos flew into the air, Shantae tried to attack in the air, but Rathalos used his claws and smacked the half genie back into the ground, Proto Man shot some water projectiles, which did a little bit of damage, as Rathalos shot some fireballs at the fighters, making huge explosions, and doing some damage onto them, Sora jumped onto the beast and stabbed his keyblade into the monster, making it scream in pain, as Peach used a frying pan to whack the beast, and Shantae summoned a cloud which electrocuted Rathalos, doing some damage, Snake threw a grenade into the mouth of Rathalos, which did a little bit of damage, as Squirtle dashed into the head of the beast, Paper Mario used a hurl hammer, and it landed right onto the beasts head, Rathalos couldn't handle it anymore, he let out one more scream in agony, and collapsed to the ground, dead.
"W-w-we did it, we defeated Rathalos, we destroyed the last shield, let's end this once an for all" Huey said, as Paper Mario led his group through the blue portal, before summoning a Crystal Star, and using it to head straight for the ball of light, the final battle awaited them.
