The Flying Hawaiian 001- Go for it. Normally people wait a couple of days for Lee to seeking Clementine out. It'd be interesting to see Lee waking up that early and scrambling to find his ward. Let me know when you do it.

Worker72- Rather the vet unlike a certain doctor or whatever he was.

Ah yes. It'll be quite the rude awakening for Lilly and her father. They really did take it to the extreme. Larry's got potential, but his heart is a huge problem. Good thing Ben hasn't got a reason to steal as he'd be shot for it.

VAD3- Thanks. :D

"Is it broken, because it feels broken," Carley said while pinching her nose to keep it the blood in. It had swollen up quite a bit and it hurt like hell. It wasn't crooked, thank god, but the reporter was still afraid something had been broken. It was already bad enough that her ankle was sprained. Now her nose hurt like crazy.

"I'm not too sure," said Katjaa as she went through medical kit. "If the swelling doesn't go down in a couple of days, you may have broken it. The nasal bones can heal on its own in around 3-6 weeks. If not..."

"Surgery isn't exactly an option," frowned the woman. "My nose is killing me. I could really use an ice pack right now."

"Nothing cold we can use, but use these," she handed the woman some pain medication. "It's the best we can do for now."

"What about Omid's leg?" asked Christa looking worriedly at Omid's leg. She had a towel wrapped around it until Katjaa was ready for the short man.

"I can just clean that up with alcohol, put some peroxide on it, and wrap it," said Katjaa.

"Alcohol and peroxide?" Omid looked nervous.

"Don't be such a baby," chastised Christa. "Both will disinfect your leg so bare with it. Would you rather die from infection?"

"No, but surely the roof of the train can't be that dirty," he added with a nervous laugh. "Can't she just wrap it?"

"If I did, I wouldn't give it long before I have to cut off your leg," frowned Katjaa.

"Oh!"

While Katjaa started work on Omid's leg, Clementine, who had been watching, Katjaa with Carley quickly backed away once she started working on the man's leg. As she sat back down, Lee asked her if she was okay. "Omid's leg looks bad."

"He'll be fine," the man assured her. "Katjaa knows what she's doing. From the looks of it, he might not be able to walk on that leg very good, but it'll heal. Remember when my leg got hurt?"

"Yeah. Shawn's dad fixed it," Clementine frowned, looking saddened by hearing the man's name come out of her own mouth. Lee noticed this, looking down worriedly at the girl. She had been there to witness the man getting his throat ripped out. While he had saved her from seeing Larry die, she still saw that horrible sight. It likely wouldn't be the last time either. "Lee?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad you're still here," she said quietly.

"I'm glad I'm here too," he said squeezing the child. "And that you're here and safe and sound."

"Do you think things will be different and you won't get...you know."

"I certainly hope not," said Lee. "Being bitten was the worst. I even had to cut my own arm off to get more time."

"It didn't work?"

"If I had tried it before, it probably could have," he shrugged not feeling all too sure. If he was bitten again, he would try cutting the infection part off as soon as he could so he wouldn't leave the girl alone again. "I'm hoping I don't have to do that again. Loss of blood probably quickened the process."

She nodded. He got up off the floor. "I'm going up front to tell Kenny everyone's okay back here. Stay with the adults, Clem and Duck."

"Okay."

When Lee went up front, Kenny asked how everyone was. Lee told him Carley's nose was injured and if it was broken, hopefully it wouldn't need surgery. As for their new arrivals, Omid was currently getting his leg worked on. "That's good. So I guess I owe you an apology for calling you crazy earlier..."

"Don't sweat it, man," said Lee. "I knew you wouldn't believe me without some kind of proof. Hell I'd call myself crazy at the time. If you told me that if I died, that I'd get a second chance at life, I'd think you were insane."

"It's over fucking whelming if you ask me," the man shook his head. "I will can't believe it. It was right where you said it was. This is unbelievable. That means you know everything that's going to happen."

"I won't say everything. Last time we got this far, let's just say all of us didn't make it." he pointed out. "For one thing, we had Lilly ran off and Larry bit the dust back at the Saint Johns' farm."

"What happened to them?"

Lee didn't see any harm in informing Kenny about the two. Hopefully Kenny wouldn't start anything over it. "Well after Larry had a heart attack, you got the bright idea to smash the poor bastard's head in before we got could try reviving the poor bastard."

"I'm sure the other me had a good reason for it," Kenny quickly defended himself. Lee couldn't even say he was surprised. "Would you want to stay in a locker room with an undead giant? I sure as hell wouldn't. The guy already had a bad heart and no medicine to boot. He would have killed us all."

"It wouldn't have killed you to..." Lee decided to not even go that route with Kenny. He was about to say if he truly thought Larry was dead, Kenny could have just have stood nearby with the salt lick just in case. However it was useless to argue with someone as stubborn as Kenny and there was also the fact that this Kenny hadn't killed Larry. "Fuck it. That's in the past now and you haven't done it. Let's just drop it."

"Gladly," said Kenny. "So have you told anyone else yet?"

"I told Carley and she didn't take the whole 'Lilly killed me' thing well." he admitted.

"Holy shit! What did Carley do?"

"She thinks Carley and Ben were to blame for the missing supplies. Carley got pissed, told off Lilly, and then she shot her. Right in the head."

"And you wanted to bring that crazy bitch with us knowing that?!" Had the taller man told him that before they got into the RV, he wouldn't have let Lee invite the crazy woman along. Hell maybe his friend was crazy. Had he gone back after knowing that fact, he'd sure as shit wouldn't trust her not to do the same stunt. Fuck he wasn't trusting her now knowing that. The two of them had their beef in the past and even now he knew it wouldn't be the last time he'd bump heads with the woman. However knowing she murdered Carley out of anger didn't help how he felt about her. Even knowing who had done it, he knew Carley wouldn't do that.

"I thought I could change things and maybe I still can," said Lee. "I just don't want to see more people in the group die."

"Well I hope for our sakes, nothing happens to her or anybody else," he frowned. He decided to change the subject. "So that boat you mentioned..."

"It's somewhere in Savannah."

"No shit, Lee. Where is it? Don't go holding out on me."

"I'm not trying to!" he sighed. "I don't really don't where it is. I can make a guess."

"We don't have time for guessing!" exclaimed the man in a rather irritated voice.

"Calm down man!" He scowled at the man. He couldn't help that he couldn't remember where the darn thing was. It had been a long time since the group found the group. As important as the boat was to Kenny, him being frustrated wasn't helping. "I can't help I need my memory jogged. I'm pretty sure you forget shit too!"

"Nothing as important as a boat!"

"Oh my god, Kenny," he rolled his eyes. "Besides, we need gas and a battery for the boat."

"And the hell do we find those where?"

"Geez Kenny. I tell you about a boat and all you can do is act like an asshole," he glared at the man. "What the hell is wrong with you? I didn't constantly harass you over how the RV was going and I sure as hell didn't demand you work faster. Show some respect, asshole! I could very well have kept the information to myself"

"I'm sorry," he sighed. "I've just been wanting to get one so bad to get away from all this shit on land."

"I understand, just don't be such an asshole, okay?" Eager or not, Kenny had better not rush him to get to that boat with that tone. He didn't appreciate being spoken like that by the man as he was trying to help him out.

"I'm sorry I just really want that boat," he sighed. "I just want to get off this damn land into the water again."

"And you will once we get the battery for it, but it'll be a while."

"How come?"

"The only battery I know of is in Crawford and the last time we went it had already fallen," explained Lee. "If it hasn't, there's no way we can just ask for one or steal one. They're not very pleasant folks from what Molly told me."

"Molly?"

"A friend who helped us out. She didn't stick with us long." Lee wondered what ever happened to the young woman. She had come and she had gone, with Lee assuming that she had done so to avoid deciding who to leave behind. "She had a sister that lived in Crawford that was thrown out because she had diabetes. They probably killed her. That's what they tended to do to people that were a 'burden'. They weeded out the sick, children, and anybody that couldn't work or wouldn't follow their way of life. They even had a wall of dead people and walkers on spikes outside of the community."

"Holy shit! That's...that's..."

"I know. This time we might not be so lucky. They'd probably kill us and take our shit if we refuse to come with them. Whatever'll do to us, I'd rather not bother with them."

"Yeah. Let's stay as far away as possible from that place too while we're at it. I can't have those maniacs anywhere around my family."

"Right." he nodded. "Now that this is out the way, I'm going to need to warn you. That bastard might be there too. The last time he showed up and kidnapped Clementine. We have to make extra sure she doesn't go out of our site. Looking for her is how I got bitten."

"Right." he nodded.

Lee decided to head on back to the train car and check in on everyone. Katjaa had already finished up patching up Omid and he was now sitting with Christa with his leg propped up. Carley was still holding her nose with her leg propped up as well. Although he wasn't going to voice it out loud for obvious reasons, he would rather be here seeing Carley like this than dead. Carley noticed him looking down at her.

"I know. I know. I look like a mess or rather a clown with this red swollen nose like a clown."

"If it makes you feel any better, you've a pretty cute clown." noted Lee.

Carley chuckled softly only to wince when she felt the sharp pain in her nose. "Shit that hurt. Cheer me up if you want to, but try not to make me laugh."

"I wasn't trying to," said Lee smiling at the woman. "I was being serious."

Carley blushed at this comment. "I appreciate the compliment even if you are lying out of your ass." she said jokingly.

"How's your ankle?" he asked.

"It still hurts like shit, thanks," she sighed. "I don't think I'm going to be walking very good on this ankle. I wish I had a crutch or something to lean on...or maybe you can carry me."

"I just might. Should be pretty easy."

"Heh you say that now," she smirked. "See if you're that saying in a couple of hours or so."

"We'll have to see, now won't we?"

"Lee!" Clementine called over to the man. Lee excused himself and came over to the girl. She held up a picture of what looked a lot like Omid. "I drew this for Omid and I made one for Carley too. My mom and dad always liked it when I made them get well pictures."

"It's cute. Why don't you go give them to 'em," he told her with a smile. "I'm sure it'll make them feel better."

Clementine nodded and went over to give them their pictures. Meanwhile Lee spoke to Duck. "How's it goin', Duck? You doin' alright back here?"

"Yep," He nodded. "How far is Savannah?"

"I have no clue. We'll probably be there in a few hours or so."

"Oh okay. Can I go up front now? I've always wanted to ride in the front of the train. Mom won't let me go up front without her."

"Sure, Duck," Lee didn't see any harm in letting the boy up front. Besides, whatever small joy the kids could have should be granted to them in times like this. It wasn't often the kids had a chance to be kids much anymore. Surely Kenny wouldn't mind Duck being up front. "Just don't touch anything."

"Cool!" Duck sprung up off the ground.

"Katjaa, I'm letting Duck go up front with Kenny," he called over to the woman. "I promise he won't bother Kenny too much."

"Ok Lee. Duck, mind your father and Lee."

"Okay mom!"

A few hours later, the train finally pulled up. Everyone gathered up their things and got off the train. Lilly was the first to speak up. "It's pretty quiet here, but it won't be that way for long. We need to get off these streets as soon as possible."

"No shit," said Kenny. He turned to Lee. "Anything ringing any bells?"

"Yeah I think so," he gestured to the rest of the group. "Alright everyone. Come on. Stay close and move as quickly as you can. We can't have any walkers on us."

Carley leaned on Lee for support while Omid had Christa. Lilly asked Lee if he knew where she was going, but he didn't answer her. He was too busy thinking of where exactly they were headed. He scanned the street carefully deciding where to go. He ended up seeing the house and directed everyone towards it. "This place looks good. We should set up here."

"How do we get inside?" asked Kenny. "The place is boarded up."

"Let's try the back way. Maybe there's a way inside." Lee gestured for everyone to follow him and everyone got behind the house. It proved to be the same house as Lee thought as there was a dog door.

"Do you see a way inside?" asked Lilly as she examined the windows. "Everything's boarded up. I don't think we can pry these things off. Even if we could shooting the windows would cause too much noise."

"There's an automated dog door down there," noted Lee.

"Then where's the dog?" Christa looked around.

"Maybe it's inside." said Omid.

"Or maybe not," Lee looked over towards the small grave beside the doghouse. He picked up the shovel and began digging up the grave. The strong smell of the decaying dog hit Lee hard and even more so when he picked up the collar causing Lilly to gag and Christa to vomit at the site. He held the collar to the door and it unlocked. "Now to get this thing unlocked."

"I can do it," volunteered Clementine.

"Be careful and take this," he handed her his hand gun. "Just in case something's in there."

Clementine nodded and slipped inside. A few seconds later, Clementine had the door opened up for the group. Lee turned to the others. "I'm going to make sure nobody else is in here."

"I'll come with you," said Lilly. "You never know what might be lurking in here."

"I'll come too. Duck, stay back here with Katjaa."

The three of them searched the downstairs. Lee went into the kitchen and found a large bag of dog food sitting on the counter. It didn't look like much was taken out of it. He wondered if the child had taken a few bites out of it out of hunger. Speaking of the child, the kid was probably still in the attic as a walker about now...or was he? Lee announced that he was checking upstairs and headed towards the attic door. He yelled up to the roof of the house asking if anybody was there. He could hear the faint noise of what sounded suspiciously like movement.

"I'm coming up there." Lee cautiously pulled the ladder. "I'm not looking to hurt anyone. We're friendly."

As soon as Lee poked his head up into the attic, the room was completely void of anybody that he could see. There was the same little cot with a bottle of water that had only a swallow or two left. Not too far from it was a couple of pieces of dog food inside of a bowl. Ah so he did eat some. He called out again and waited for an answer. Unlike all the other times when loud talking or noises were heard, it drew walkers. The kid must still be alive. Lee slowly made his away around the attic searching for the child. He found the kid hiding behind the couch. The boy looked terrible. He looked underfed, dirty, had dark circle under his eyes, and he smelled terrible likely from the living conditions he was in. He looked up the man with frightened eyes and raised his hands.

"P-please don't shoot me!" the preteen pleaded. "I don't have anything!"

"Don't worry," assured Lee. "I'm not going to harm you. We were just looking for a place to settle in for a while. Is this your house?"

The boy paused. "Yeah."

"Where are your parents?" asked Lee.

"They...they left me," the boy looked upset as tears began forming in his eyes. "They left me to go to that stupid Crawford settlement and they haven't been back for weeks. My dad told me that he'd bring supplies, but that's been 2 weeks. I had to eat dog food just to survive."

"That's terrible," Lee was glad that this hadn't happened to Clementine. He was willing to bet that had he not found the girl, she would have ended up like the young boy or dead. Now he had saved another life and would be looking after this one as well. "Well you can stay with us as long as you'd like. We've got food with us you can have."

"R-really?" The preteen wanted to believe Lee had food, but he was hesitant to get his hopes up. What if it was just Crawford people coming to kill him? He heard what those people were capable of from his parents. Even if they weren't from Crawford, what kind of guarantee would it be that they didn't have other intentions? He supposed he didn't have a choice as he noted that Lee had a gun and a group. Besides, the thought of food was starting to cloud his mind. "Are you sure it's fine?"

"If anybody has any complaints, they can get off my back about it," shrugged the man. "Come on down. Maybe we can get you cleaned up some too while we're at it."

He merely nodded. He just hoped he'd get fed soon. He was already tired of eating dog food. Some real food for once would be nice. Dog food probably wouldn't give him what his body needed anyways. Once downstairs, as promised, Lee gave the kid food, the first piece of food he had eaten in a while. Even if it was just a granola bar, it was better than nothing. Fivel quickly ate up the bar, ignoring the comment from Katjaa to slow down or he'd choke. The group had been surprised to learn a child had been abandoned in the house leading to him being in such a condition, but, as usual, Lilly complained about all the mouths they had to feed. She told Lee at this right after he gave the child something to eat.

"I know you're trying to do the right thing, but if you keep getting more mouths to feed..."

"I see where you're coming from, but you don't have to be so heartless about it, Lilly," pointed out Lee. "The kid was left here on his own. He's starving just like the rest of us. It's like when Mark was alive and shared food with us. Imagine if he hadn't. You wouldn't like that very much, would you?"

"There's a difference!" pointed out the woman scowling. "He had food. Your little friends don't."

"Food or no food, we don't have the time to be a bunch of assholes in a world where showing kindness and humility is rare to come by," snapped Lee. "You're always getting on Kenny's case for being selfish and wanting to run everything, but in reality Kenny's better than you. At least he wouldn't let people die."

Without another word, Lee stormed off. If Crawford's people ever came this way, he hoped Lilly and Larry went with them. The two of them could stand meet people as heartless as them.
