A Irreversible death

Chapter 14: The Phone Call

They were getting nowhere. Five days had passed since she had joined the task force and although she was doing her best she still hadn't gotten any further. "shall we take a break?" Jowd asked here. "Sure" Lynne replied. After the last five days which had consisted of restless nights, lengthy meetings, extensive note taking, long discussions and a lot of coffee drinking she could use one.

Sissel on the other hand was not tired. He was however extremely bored and was hoping for something, anything to happen.

After their break Jowd told Lynne to go home and rest and she gladly obliged. Upon arriving home she collapsed into bed and Sissel, deciding that it would be better to stick with her as she was more accident prone than anyone else he had met. It was at this point her mobile phone rang. Groaning she got up and answered the call. "Hello detective Lynne" was the first thing she heard. The voice sounded like it was going through a voice changer making it hard for her to tell what the person speaking actually sounded like. "Do not speak. I have information regarding the case you are working on that I am sure is of the utmost importance to you. I will only tell you this information face to face and to you alone. You shall meet me at the junk yard at the edge of town at 7:02 pm tomorrow. That is all." The person on the other end of the line hung up. "I should tell Jowd about this. Then I should go. Yeah I'll do that."

Sissel had been listening in on the conversation and he had a terrible feeling. He knew what junk yard the person was talking about he was hoping that they meant some other junk yard. Either way his wish of things getting interesting was about to come true.
