Hey guys, it's me again with a new chapter and yes,this is not a note. It feels good being back after a long hiatus and so I hope that this chapter is well worth the wait. As a note, I looked over some of the chapters and I found that there were some errors made because of a miscalculation of life point damage and such so I'm planning to fix that here and in the near future. Anyways, enjoy the conclusion of the duel between Joey and Belatha.
Joey: 1600 (6/46)
Belatha : 1700 (0/39)
Joey looks at the Wicked Eraser who was staring at him with a desire to blast him into oblivion and thinks, I faced that monster when I faced Asfana at the airport and it gave me a hard time...but I know I can beat it again.
Belatha says,"Thanks to Eraser's effect it gains 1000 ATK and DEF points for every card on your side of the field. The Wicked Eraser gains a dark aura as its stats go up from 0/0 to 1000/1000. He then puts the last card in his hand and says,"I place one card facedown and end my turn."(0/39)
"All right then, it's my turn to draw," Joey said as he drew his card. (7/45) Joey looks at the card and gasps when he looks at it. Awesome, I drew Red Eyes Black Chick. Good thing I added this to my deck after pulling it off from several booster packs. Lucky for me I have the adult version in my hand. 'Kay time to take this sucker down. "Now I'll summon a new monster name Red-Eyes Black Chick to the field," (6/45) Soon after a mini version of Red-Eyes Black Dragon hatches out from the red and black colored egg. (800/500)
Belatha laughs darkly at this and says in a taunting tone,"So you summon a baby dragon. Well what is he going to do? Shoot fire? Well c'mon, let's see what you can do big guy.
Joey says in a warning tone,"I wouldn't do that if I were you Belatha because he might just do that," He sends Red Eyes Black Chick to the graveyard, puts a new card on the monster card zone and says strongly,"I'm using the effect of my Black Chick which allows me to tribute him and summon his true form. Come out, Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" (5/45) Just then a pillar of red flames surround the baby dragon as it gives a small roar before vanishing into a bright white light as it grows into the level 7 DARK dragon monster Red Eyes Black Dragon. (2400/2000)
Belatha gives a slight growl as he sees Red Eyes Black Dragon appear to the field but then gives a sly dark smirk at this and says,"You just added another card to your field so my Eraser gets another 1000 points," True to his words, The Wicked Eraser stats goes up from 1000/1000 to 2000/2000!
Joey thinks in his mind, My Red-Eyes still has a higher attack power than his monster so I could attack with him but he still has a facedown card so that could hurt me. I don't have any more monsters in my hand to defend me next turn so I guess I'm gonna have to take this chance. Joey yells out,"All right Red-Eyes send his Wicked Eraser back to hell with Inferno Fire Blast!" Red-Eyes Black Dragon flies into the air,and unleashes a ball of dark purple energy at The Wicked Eraser which causes Belatha to grin attack hits the Wicked Eraser in the chest causing a huge explosion on Belatha's side of the field causing him to flinch as he loses 400 life points.
Joey: 1600 (5/45)
Belatha : 1300 (0/39)
Joey says in a happy tone,"Yeah, I destroyed that piece of shit. How do you like me now Belatha?"
Belatha gives him a dark cold grin which unnerves him and says evilly,"Hah, you fool. You fell into my trap. When The Wicked Eraser goes straight to the graveyard, its effect goes off which destroys all of the cards on the entire field!"
"What did you say?!"Joey roared.
Belatha says darkly,"Time to feel the wrath of the Eraser. Go, Dark Deletion!" Just then a dark tornado appears on the field as it swallows all of the cards on the field literally erasing them from existence.
Just then an image of a trap card depicting Zorc Necrophades unleashing several balls of dark energy from his hand attacking an ancient Egyptian village with the villagers running away from Zorc appears behind Belatha.
Belatha gives a dark cold sly grin at Joey and says darkly," I am afraid it is not over yet for I play the trap card known as Hell's Impact."
"What? You can't do that because your trap card is destroyed!" Joey protested.
"Oh yes I can Joey. That is exactly what I planned to do," Belatha says evilly. "When this trap card is destroyed by a card effect, I can special summon from my graveyard any DARK monster I wish without applying the summoning conditions.
"No way!" Joey says shocked.
Belatha grins evilly and says in an evil triumphant tone,"Yes, now I shall revive the Wicked Dreadroot that you just destroyed a few turns back." Soon afterwards, a huge pillar of dark pillar surrounds Belatha and it rises up as the Wicked Dreadroot (4000/4000) rises from the pits of hell as it stands up, ready to send Joey on a one-way trip to his death.
"Damn it, he's back and I just destroyed him earlier." Joey complained.
"Well Joey, it looks like your death is just around the corner," Belatha says darkly. He then says in a dark confident tone,"Lucky for you, the monster that is special summoned cannot use it's special ability and it will be destroyed during my End Phase. But I'll make sure that this duel is over before that happens."
Joey puts one card in the spell and trap card zones and says,"Don't be so cocky Belatha. I'll make sure I'll survive next turn. I activate the quick-play spell card Reverse Of Red-Eyes," (4/45) The new spell card that Joey played showed a picture of Red-Eyes Black Dragon coming out from a vortex in the dark sky along with Barrel Dragon, Machine King and Different Dimension Dragon.
Belatha says perplexed,"I never heard of that card. What does that do?"
Joey says in a serious tone,"Simple, this card lets me bring one monster that includes "Red Eyes" in its name that was sent to the graveyard this turn by battle or by a card effect. So welcome back Red Eyes!"
True to the card's effect, a bright light appears on Joey's field as Red-Eyes Black Dragon (2400/2000) is revived to his side of the field ready for some asskicking.
Belatha says in an arrogant tone,"Hah! Bring him to your field. He won't help you since I have the Wicked Dreadroot on my side of the field." The Wicked Dreadroot roars out as if it was agreeing with his master.
Joey puts three card in the spell and trap card zones while ignoring Belatha's insults and says,"I'll place three cards face down on my side of the field and end my turn. So, go ahead and give me your best shot Belatha." (1/45)
"With pleasure,"Belatha said as he drew a card from his deck. (1/38) He looks at the card he drew, and yells out,"This is the end for you Joseph! Wicked Dreadroot kill his favorite monster with Pulverizing Darkness Punch!" The Wicked Dreadroot rushes over to Joey's field, lunges his right arm back and prepares to punch Red-Eyes in the chest.
Joey pushes a button on the duel disk and shouts out,"I activate my trap card, Fairy Box!" Joey's face down card is revealed to be the Fairy Box trap card, and he says,"Thanks to this card, I can toss a coin and if I can call it right, your monster's attack points go down to zero and I'll win...otherwise, if I am wrong, then you win since the damage would be 1600.
Belatha replies unamused, "So you are relying on luck to win? You must be desperate to make a move like that.
Joey gives a sly smile and says, "You may think that, but I have a backup plan to increase my chances," He pushes a button on the duel disk and says," I activate the quick-play spell card, Quick Judgement!" The facedown spell card that was activated shown a picture of a king wearing royal clothing along with a crown on his head extending his palm to a villager who is being possessed by a dark aura in order to expel the demon out.
"Thanks to this card, "Joey says. "I am allowed to take one spell card from my hand and treat that card as a quick-play spell until the end phase of the turn," Joey puts one card in the spell and trap card zones and says, "Now I'll activate the spell card, Second Coin Toss which will allow me to redo a coin toss whenever a card effect that requires a coin toss is activated." (0/45)
Belatha puts one card in the spell and trap card zones and says evilly, "Don't be so sure about that Joey. I chain with the quick-play magic card, Mystical Space Typhoon!" (0/38)
"Oh no!" Joey says shocked knowing what was coming to him.
Belatha grinned evilly. "Hahaha! That's right Joey Wheeler. This card destroys one spell or trap card on the field so I'll choose your Fairy Box." Soon afterwards, a huge cyclone blasts through Joey's field and destroys his Fairy Box trap card.
"Say goodbye!" Belatha laughs as the Wicked Dreadroot launches its punch at Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
Joey pushes a button on the duel disk and says with a strong tone,"I ain't dyin' today Belatha 'cause I activate the trap card known as Red Eyes Retaliation!" This new trap card shows Red Eyes Black Dragon launching several balls of his signature attack at several dark monsters.
"Another new card!" Belatha exclaimed.
"That's right," Joey said. "If I give up half my life points, a "Red-Eyes" monster on my side of the field gains ATK points equal to the ATK points of the attacking monster until the end of the round.
"What?!" Belatha says shocked.
Joey gives a smirk and says in his excited tone,"You heard me Belatha! Since your Dreadroot has 4000 ATK points, my Red-Eyes gains 4000 attack points!" Red-Eyes Black Dragon roars in strength as its stats goes up from 2400/2000 to 6400/2000!"
Belatha says shocked,"This cannot be!"
Joey says seriously,"Oh yes it can be. Now my Red-Eyes counterattack and end this duel with Inferno Fire Blast!" Red-Eyes launches his signature attack at The Wicked Dreadroot which slams its chest destroying it. Belatha screams in surprise as he loses 2400 life points in one shot, ending the duel immediately.
Joey: 800 (0/45)
Belatha: 0 (0/38)
After the explosion at Belatha's field clears out, the duel disks deactivates and we see Belatha hanging low on one knee. Joey says confused, "Hold on. I beat you so you should have disappeared from my sight for good."
Belatha gives Joey a weary evil smile and says, "You may have beaten me Joey Wheeler, but I am not gone because Asfana, who was the guy you dueled at the airport was created by my master in order to test your skills.
Joey says seriously, "Your master? What is the name of your master? What does he or she want with me?
Belatha gives him a weak evil chuckle and says,"That's for you to find out. Anyways, before I depart, you remember in the beginning before our duel started that there was a self-destruct button?
Joey gives him a suspicious look and says,"Yeah. I know that. You were threatening to use the button to-"
Belatha interrupts him, gives an evil laugh and says evilly, "Well, I lied about that. I did that just so that you could duel me. With that said, just before meeting you after you duel with Asfana, I managed to place several detonator bombs all over this plane like this one for example." Belatha holds up an extra detonator bomb which shows the time going down causing Joey to gasp.
"You bastard!" Joey says angrily.
"That's right Joey, I had you from the start, "Belatha says grinning evilly. "And now that is out of the way, I'll leave now. Looks like we'll meet again soon...that is if you can survive." Belatha laughs as he transforms into a pillar of dark energy before vanishing away causing the detonator bomb he had in his hand to fall down on the floor.
Joey immediately looks at the time showing that he has 15 seconds left and he scrambles across the plane in order to look for a parachute box.
Damn it, not here. Joey said as he looked into several drawers on the left of the plane which contained nothing.
"Ten seconds until explosion!" The feminine voice spoke from the detonator bomb.
Shit, I better hurry up and get out of here before that bomb explodes or else I'm dead. Joey thought as he went over to the right side of the plane where there were the same drawers which were brown colored. Nothing.
"Nine…" The feminine voice spoke causing Joey to panic. He quickly went on his knees and started looking underneath for a skydiving gear.
"Eight…" Joey went over the back of his seat and found nothing except a pile of tools and old Duel Monster cards.
"Seven…" Joey stood back up his feet and searched at the pilot's area to see if there was any note of a skydiving gear. Nothing. All there was in the front was the controls and some worn out blankets
"Six…" Joey looked all over the plane one last time and saw nothing so he decided to grab his duel disk and his luggage.
"Five…" Joey rushed to his seat and attached his duel disk on his left arm and carrying the luggage on his right hand.
"Four…" Joey went to the metallic door a few feet away from him and pushed on the door. No result.
"Three…" He looked around the door and saw that there was a door opener at the right side. He mentally slapped himself.
"Two…"Joey quickly decided to abandon his luggage knowing that he has a lot of extra stuff back at his place.
"One…" Soon after the bombs exploded causing the plane to break and fall down to the ocean.
A few seconds later, Joey landed on the water causing a big splash to erupt. Afterwards, Joey manages to balances himself in the water, gives a few sharp breaths and he thinks to himself, "Damn, that was close but I managed to survive. I need to get out of here, find a place to rest and figure out what out this mess is all about." Instantly, Joey began swimming across the ocean trying to find his first view of land.

Whew! This chapter is finally finished and I looking at the length, I can say I did pretty good so far. I hope you guys had a happy 4th of July because I know I did. Speaking of 4th of July, I was supposed to have this chapter up by then but I just felt lazy. That is not to say that I lost interest of writing fanfiction because this is one of my hobbies. Anyways, how did you like the conclusion of the duel between Joey and Belatha? The aftermath?
