"Hey! Hold it right there!" shouted Sylvette, chasing after Niche once again. "Eat your carrots!"

"No!" whined Niche, running from Sylvette as Lara was slowly eating her bread. It was another typical day for Lara, Sylvette, and Niche. This time, Niche was running away from Sylvette because she doesn't want to eat her carrots.

"Eat them!"

"They make Niche's teeth gross!"

"No they won't! If you don't eat your carrots, you won't grow up big and strong!"

"Niche hates being forced!"

"Hold it right there!"

Then, Niche stopped and saw that Lara hasn't eaten her soup, and she has just started chewing her bread. "Big Sis Lara hasn't finished hers either," pointed out Niche.

Sylvette took a look at Lara's soup and said, "That's right! That's no good. You have to finish it. Hmm? Lara-chan?"

"I...don't have much...of an appetite..." said Lara, gloomily as she stood up. "Thanks for the food-"

THUD! "Lara/Big Sis Lara!" shouted both Sylvette and Niche, worried. Niche kneeled down besides Lara and pressed her forehead against her master's. "She's hot!" cried Niche.

"Oh no! Niche, carry her back to her room and into the bed! I'll get some water!" ordered Sylvette.

Niche nodded before using her long hair to safely carry Lara back to her room in her bed. Afterwards, she pulled the bed covers up to Lara's chin, and Sylvette arrived in Lara's room and changed Lara's clothes. Lara was now wearing her usual night robe, and had some short pants on.

"It seems you've caught a cold," said Sylvette to Lara, getting a wet, cold towel and placing it on top of Lara's forehead. "It's because you went on that delivery on that pouring rain before."

"...I'm sorry..."

"Just rest for today. I'll send a sick-leave note to the Bee Hive later."

"Thanks, you're a life-saver-*cough* *cough*!" coughed Lara.

"Big Sis Lara, does it hurt?" asked Niche. She then walked up and started licking her hot face, hoping to cool it down.

"Ah, that tickles," giggled Lara, unable to move much.

"Don't lick her," scolded Sylvette.

"She'll heal if you lick her."

"No, she won't. She's ill, so we have to nurse her."

Niche and Steak were confused. "Nurse?"

"That's right. We do various things to take care of her so that she gets better."

"Hmm...Okay! Niche will take care of Big Sis Lara and make her fell better!" said Niche, determined. "Let's go, Steak!"

"Nuu niii!"

Sylvette was smiling at Niche's determination. "Okay! Thanks for the help!"

THUMP! THUMP! Using a wooden hammer, Sylvette was smashing ice in a bag on top of a table while Niche was watching curiously. Seeing Niche was confused, Sylvette explained, "I'm making an icepack. It's too heavy to place it on her head in big chunks, so we have to break it into pieces."

"Then leave that to Niche!" Niche sharpened her blond-haired swords and started hitting the large bag with the blunt sides of her golden blades. Unfortunely, this ended up having the wooden table sliced in pieces, and the bag as well.

Sylvette dropped her hammer in shock, and Niche obliviously asked, "How was that?" Sylvette sighed, knowing this was going to take a while.

"To prevent his body from getting chilled, we wipe off his sweat with warm water," Syvlette explained to Niche once they created new smashed ice and brought it to Lara's room.

"Y-you don't have to go that far," said Lara, surprised.

"What are you saying? You have to get better quickly!" scolded Sylvette. "Besides, we're both girls, so it doesn't really matter!" Syvlette gently took off Lara's nightrobe and saw many drops of sweat on Lara's back and started rubbing her back with the towel filled with warm water. "See? You're covered in sweat."

Niche, getting impatient and somewhat jaelous that Syvlette was doing such a good job at this, grabbed a towel, covered it with warm water, and started rubbing Lara's leg. "Lara? Does this make you feel better?"

"Yeah, thanks. It feels better."

"That's because Niche is your dingo!" Niche then started rubbing Lara's feet really hard, making Lara giggle and ticklish.

"Ahaha! W-wait! That tickles! Hahahahaaha...ahaha..." Then, Lara passed out from the heat and laughter and safely landed on her bed.

"Her fever will get worse if you make her laugh!" said Sylvette, quickly placing the bag of ice onto Lara's forehead. "Now, it's important to get nourishment when you're sick." Back in the kitchen, Syvlette made one of her 'perfect' soups and tasted it to make sure it was good. "Perfect as usual!"

"Your super disgusting soup is no good!" reminded Niche. "Big Sis Lara will die!"

"How rude! I added my own special flavoring to this canned soup! It has lots of nourishment!"

"Special flavoring?"

"It's something I came up all by myself!"

"Hmm...oh! Niche thought up of her own nourishment!" exclaimed Niche. She turned to Steak and declared, "For Big Sis Lara's sake, Niche will cook Steak!"

Steak immediantly freaked out and ran out of the room, with Niche chasing after him. Soon, Steak arrived in Lara's room, jumped on top of Lara's head which woke her up, and landed on her lap, glaring at Niche who had just entered the room.

"Be a good boy and let Niche cook you!" ordered Niche, running towards Steak.

"Niche!" shouted Syvlette, who had also entered the room to stop Niche. "For pity's sake..."

After everything calmed down, and Niche closed the door to Lara's room, Niche asked, "Is the nursing over?"

"She'll get tired out if we don't let her rest," explained Sylvette. "And anyways, I don't think you're cut out for nursing, Niche. Now, I have to send in that leave-sick note."

"Let Niche do it!" requested Niche. "Niche goes to the Bee Hive every day!"

"But..."

"As Big Sis Lara's dingo!"

"Alright, then I'll leave it to you," said Sylvette, giving Niche the letter.

"Let's go, Steak!"

"Nu nii!" Steak jumped on top of Niche's head, and the both of them ran out of the door.

"I wonder if they'll be alright," said Sylvette, worried.

A few hours later...

After Niche had gone an hour later, Sylvette was worried since she was taking too long, so she told Lara that she'll be out for a while before leaving. Afterwards, Lara fell asleep for a few more hours before she heard some knocking on the door.

Rubbing her eyes, Lara thought, 'Is it Sylvette and Niche? Are they back yet?' Lara slowly got off her bed, and while a little sleepwalking, she didn't notice she was near the stairs. As she climbed down, her foot caught into empty air, and she fell.

"Ack! OW! Oof!" screamed Lara as she came tumbling down the stairs. Finally, she fell on her back on the hard wooden floor with a big thud, making her groan in pain and unable to stand up.

Meanwhile...

Knock. Knock. Zazie knocked on the door a few times in front of Sylvette's house. Apparently, he and Connor learned that Lara was sick for today and were both worried. They bought the last medicine needed for colds and rushed towards Sylvette's house.

"Hey, Zazie? Do you think he's going to be alright?" asked Connor.

"Of course he has to," said Zazie. "After all, what could go wrong?"

His questioned was answered when they heard heard some cries of pain and a loud thud on the ground. Both of them looked at each other in shock before fumbling around with the doorknob, trying to get it open. No success.

"Aah! What do we do?!" asked Connor frantically. Zazie then took out a small pin from his pocket and started picking the lock. "Zazie! What are you doing?! You're going to get us in trouble!"

"Oh shut up and make sure no one's looking," hissed Zazie. "Besides, this is a state of an emergency! Lag could be in trouble for all we know!" Finally, he unlocked the door and slammed it open.

"Lag!" cried Connor, seeing Lara on the ground and winching in pain.

"What happened?! Who did this to you?" asked Zazie, extremely worried.

"Fell down...stairs..." wheezed Lara, too sleepy to move.

"Hang on, okay?!" Without thinking, Zazie scooped up Lara in his arms and carefully walked upstairs with Connor following him. Afterwards, Connor helped Zazie placed Lara down on the bed and pull the covers on top of her.

"Why did he fall down the stairs?" asked Connor.

"He was probably the only one in the house," said Zazie.

"Um...thanks...both of you," thanked Lara.

"Where are Sylvette and Niche?" asked Connor.

"Out...somewhere...maybe medicine..."

"Hey, I got another question," said Zazie. "Why in the world are you wearing a girl's night robe?"

Lara was glad her face was red due to the fever, because her face turned more red when Zazie mentioned that. "W-well, I didn't have any more pajamas, so Sylvette lend me one."

"Ahahahaha!" Zazie laughed lightheartedly. "Out of all things, you wore a girl's night robe! Ahaha!"

"H-hey! It's not that funny!" pouted Lara before she started coughing.

"Hey, Zazie? We should give her some of that medicine," offered Connor.

"Huh? Sure," agreed Zazie. After giving her a cup of water and the small bottle of medicine, Lara drank both of them before going to sleep. Zazie and Connor decided to watch over Lara until Syvlette or Niche came back.

"...So, why did you carry Lag that way instead of offering a piggy back ride?"

"! ...Shut up, Connor."

Later...

"We're home!" called Sylvette. When she and Niche were about to enter Lara's room, they were surprised to see the door open and even more surprised to see Lara awake, and Zazie and Connor in the room.

"Oh, welcome back," welcomed Lara, feeling a lot better.

"You're late. Where have you been?" asked Zazie.

"Pardon the intrusion," apologized Connor.

"What are you two doing here?" asked Sylvette.

"We came to pay a visit to the sick kid, of course," explained Connor. "We bought lots of get-well gifts also."

"Big Bro Lag, are you still sick?" asked Niche.

"Oh, I'm fine," assured Lara. "I think the medicine Zazie brought me is working."

"Medicine?" questioned Sylvette.

"Look, I got the last bottle," said Zazie, showing the empty medicine bottle.

"Wait a sec..." growled Sylvette, showing an dark aura around her. "That was you...? Do you know how much trouble I went through because of you?!"

Zazie, startled by Sylvette's dark and angry aura, stepped back in fear. "W-wait, what's going on-Ow! The wheels! The mud! Gah! Not that soup-guh!"

Connor was so glad he wasn't in Zazie's position, otherwise he would have been as flat as a pancake like Zazie was.

The next morning...

"Hold it right there! Drink your milk!"

"No!"

"You won't grow up big and strong!"

"You said you wouldn't nag Niche anymore!"

"You actually heard me?!"

"Liar! Sylvette is a liar!"

"I wasn't lying!"

"Liar!"

Then, Sylvette stopped in front of the table the all-better Lara was, and exmained her soup, which hasn't been touched. "Lara, eat your soup!"

"Eh? Um...Oh no! I'm going to be late!" said Lara, realizing what time it was. "I'll finish it when I get back! Thanks for the food!"

After Lara and Niche quickly escaped from the terrifying soup, Sylvette pouted, "Honestly, what am I going to do with those two?" Then, her expression soften and when she got outside, she handed Lara her lunch.

"See you later!" called Lara, waving back as she and her dingo ran.

"Have a nice day!" called back Sylvette, waving back. She knew this was going to be a normal day for them, and she rather gone enjoyed them and got used to it.

Hope: Okay, kinda a short chapter, and not much Lara x Zazie, but I'm sure it was pretty cute! Anyways, read and review!
