Wheeeeeeeeeeelp here is Chapter 13. Haven't decided if I want a lemon or not but it's a possibility, but until then here you go! I don't own anything.

Light streamed through the binds and onto his face. The sun disrupting him from his slumber. Oh god how he wish it hadn't. He felt like his own body had been ripped apart and poorly sewn back together. He tried to raise a hand to cover his eyes, but found that it was covered by something. Opening his eyes the world seemed fuzzy to him for a moment. Then once it cleared up he say a small hand holding his. Following it up until he saw long black hair cascading down the back of a white sleeping yukata. Her head turned from his.

Just who was this?

Then his body decided that he didn't need a lung anymore and tried to get him to cough it out. Ripping his hand from hers he covered his mouth while he coughed. Pulling his hand back he saw blood.

"Is there blood?" The familiar soft voice carried to his ears. Dark orbs clashing with equally dark ones. These ones were familiarly round and had something special about them. He tried to speak but his throat was too dry. Her eyes widened as she shot up and got him a glass of water. The red arm band, Squad Four mark, and Gentian on her Lieutenant's badge confirming who she was.

"Suzuki?" His voice was still raspy from not talking in a while. She smiled at him.

"Of course who else would I be?" The light teasing tone in her voice calmed him.

"How long as you been here?" He forgot how easy it was to talk to her.

"Well Angel brought me back a couple weeks ago." She sidestepped the question. They both knew it. She was only about 100 years older than him, maybe. She really didn't know how old she was, so she went by how long she had been in the Seiretei. Though she was probably a lot older than she thought.

"How long have you been here." Stressing the last word. She turned her gaze to the window, looking at the birds as they flew through the air so care free. Their wings bringing them to new heights as they soared above the clouds.

"Not that long." She lied. Once Angel and the others left she snuck in and hasn't moved since. That was a little more than 18 hours ago. And even before that she was working with Unohana to put him back together. His nerves almost didn't reconnect, but she pushed herself harder to make sure they did. Falling asleep almost instantly in a separate room.

"You've always been bad at lying." She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Well sorry! It's not like I've been waiting for you to wake up or anything like that you ass hat." She crossed her arms over chest a returned her gaze out the window. Only turning back to him when he was trying to sit up alone. "Che, you idiot you can't do it yourself." She snorted out and helped the noble get comfortable. Complaining about how he was too stubborn for his own good.

"What happened?" He asked her.

"When we returned the battle seemed to be in full swing. Angel vanished in the direction of Yamamoto, I went to find Unohana to help out. Then…" She started to twiddle her fingers in her lap. "I felt Angel's spiritual pressure sky rocket. And someone came running saying you needed immediate treatment or you'd die. Rushing to the scene I saw Lieutenant Kira with another Squad Four member trying to stabilize you." She stopped the twiddling and looked back up at him.

"Angel lost it." They were the only words that needed to be said. "As far as I know she went on a rampage, killing just about everyone who stood in her way. She was making her way to Yamamoto I guess, whoever he was fighting. Not even Yamamoto will tell us who it was. She snapped out of it when she encountered Kaito…" She took a breath. "She snapped his neck. Coming out of it when Yamamoto called out to her."

"My condition at the scene?" What had caused her to lose it like that? It was the only thing he could think of.

"You were moments from death Byakuya." He looked her dead in the eyes. They we started to fill with unshed tears. "I thought you weren't going to make it." She gripped his hand again tightly. Her frame started to shake. "And god knows that if we-if I lost you…" She hid her face behind their conjoined ones. He could feel the tears as they slid down her cheeks and onto his hand. He ran his thumb over the back of her hand in a soothing motion. Comforting people was not his thing. Even if he had known her ever since his crazy Master brought him to the Seiretei.

The two just stayed like that, one trying to comfort the other. They had been close until she up and disappeared like the others, she'd even visited him while he was the Academy. Giving him updates on his mentor occasionally so he knew she was okay. Yes, the two had gotten so close, others had seen what they were so blind to. Until one left, and the other knew it was too late to say anything.

Until now perhaps…

"Alright everyone settle down." The gruff voice of the Head Captain rang throughout the meeting hall. All Captain's and their Lieutenants quieting down instantly. Squad Three and Six missing their Captains, and Six also missing their Lieutenant.

"As you know we were attacked." Most oblivious statement right? "These people were the people who once stood in this very room as you are. They were the first ones too." A Zanpakuto was thrown onto the floor by Sasakibe.

"Someone here let them in." His eyes scanned the room. Silence weighing heavily. It wasn't too long ago that they had dealt with this situation. Three Captains defecting from the Soul Society. The Winter War, Souske Aizen, and the others.

Until the door was practically ripped off its hinges by the Squad Three Captain, with the Squad Six Lieutenant behind her.

"Sorry we're late someone thought it would be cute to try and drug me." Crimson orbs finding honey ones behind the Squad Two Captain. They both took their places. Izuru sitting on the floor behind his Captain instead of standing in her place. "Please continue."

Yamamoto nodded to her. "In the light of this Central Sixty-Four has demanded that we find the mole. Now as many of you may know, the lists of suspects does not exclude you Captains and Lieutenants."

"I believe that it is Captain Skywalker." All eyes turned to the youngest Captain. "She shows up not even a month ago and we get attacked by people looking for the Angel of Death. Doesn't it seem too coincidental to you?" His eyes never backing down from the Head Captain.

"Yes, I agree with Captain Hitsugaya." Sui-Feng spoke up.

"You do realize your Lieutenant had come here with me yes?" It was known that the Squad Two Captain had taken a liking to her new Lieutenant. "But if you wish for me to be put on trial go right ahead. I have nothing to hide." She locked eyes with her first accuser.

"Wouldn't you find it suspicious if you were suddenly attacked after bringing on a new subordinate Captain?" He challenged her.

"Of course I would," She started. "But you still fail to see something child." The word causing flames in his eyes. "I was here when there wasn't a Seiretei. When it was just a barren wasteland filled with lost souls. When the buildings were being built, I put some of these buildings together with my own hands. I was here when there wasn't any Captains, or Lieutenants. Saw Yamamoto become Head Captain, and the first three divisions come to exist. Then the rest follow, and their Captains and Lieutenants come to be. I was here from the very beginning and put my soul, blood, sweat and tears into the place you now call home." The words came with such venom as each sentence passed her reishi flared more and more. "If I wanted to end the place I built up and watch prosper for over 3 millennium you wouldn't be alive at this moment child." The air was becoming hard to breathe in, Mitskani with her daughter as she fought to stay conscious.

"You are testing my patients every time we speak Captain." Her spiritual pressure focusing mainly on him. "You know nothing of me." She had told him something like that before and felt the need to reiterate it. "If I wanted to, you'd be dead with just a flick of my pinky finger."

"Angel." Yamamoto himself slightly struggling to keep his breathing at a calm pace.

Then the air was suddenly lifted. The young Captain being helped up by Shunsui and his Lieutenant. Rangiku giving her a heated gaze.

"Once Central Sixy-" The doors opened once again. A Soul Reaper walking in with his head held high, like he owned the place. He came to a stop in front of Angel. He turned to look at her with disdain.

"Central Sixty-Four has demanded your presence." She didn't even reply to him. She kept eye contact with the Head Captain.

"Do you understand this Captain Skywalker?" He asked roughly. She snapped her head in his direction, letting him see the disgust and hatred in her eyes.

"You know," She paused. "This generation has a fucking problem with the lack of fucking respect given to those above them." She stared him down. Her crimson orbs looking through him. "You go back to those idiots and tell them that if they wish to speak to me they can request an audience with me. Until then I will not go crawling to them like some servant getting ready to be, belittled by their master." The un-named soul reaper paled in her presence. All the previous confidence that he had was sucked out of him by this woman.

"Do you understand this?" The threatening venom dripping from her words was almost palpable. The man only nodded and flash stepped away from her.

"Angel. Perhaps you should go and connect with your Zanpakuto." The harsh suggestion coming from her old friend.

"I think I'll go wait for my other half then." And she suddenly disappeared.

Izuru immediately stood up and took her place. But deicided it best to let the Captains talk everything out. His eyes locking with Renji's, did something happen? He tried to convey to his friend. The only thing he got back was a shake of his head saying no, and shrug. Signifying that he didn't even know and he was with her all night.

When he got back to the office she was sitting at her desk scribbling on the documents she had to fill out. She hadn't been in the office since Captain Kuchiki's surgery had started. He'd been trying to get the work done, but it had doubled since there was technically there was two people to do it.

"Go home Lieutenant." Her voice was still soft but it had a rough tone to it.

"I will once the work for today in completed." He sat down at his desk ignoring the command.

"Izuru, there should be about 3 more stacks of work here if you had listened to me and only worked the hours I told you too." He sighed, caught red handed. "Go home Izuru." Knowing that he wasn't going to win he pick himself up and headed to the door.

"Don't over-work yourself Captain." And he left. She threw herself into her paperwork. Not even caring to lift her head when Mitskani came in and sat down at Izuru's desk. Not caring when she tried to strike up conversation. Just keeping her mind busy for now. That is until she realized she had completed all the work that had been given to her. She sat back and contemplated heading over to Squad Eight to help with their workload, but knew the Lieutenants of the 8th and 10 were close. And it didn't seem like Rangiku was too fond of her at the moment.

"So what are you going to do now?" She looked over at her best friend.

"Get drunk?" Mitskani weighing the suggestion, as she swayed from right to left.

"I'd say yes but it would effect a certain someone's ability to get home safely." Oh yeah, he was coming home today.

"Did he give an ETA? Or is he just going to show up in a dramatic fashion like always?" She stretched her hands over her head leaning back.

"Do you remember when you were heading into battle and Yamamoto was screeching at you to use your Zanpakuto because he wasn't there on time?" She smiled at the memory of the infamous Head Captain yelling his head off at the blonde as she waved him off.

"Oh yeah, that was hilarious." She recalled the moments before one of the biggest battles in their time. "He was ready to break the rules and just come with me onto the battlefield with me. Screaming how I was going to kill myself one day with these crazy antics."

"Then he came swooping in like a knight in shining armor coming to your rescue." Mitskani letting out a large burst of laughter.

"Yeah something like that," She smiled at the memory. "Then I tripped him three seconds later and all of his coolness was gone." They both smiled at each other.

"Angel! I swear to whatever keeps us connected I'll kill you one day! I try to help and all you ever do is make me want to commit suicide by killing you!" They both started yelling, trying to mimic his voice.

Neither noticing that two others had joined them.

"What about the time that you decided to try and take on the whole Seiretei force with one arm tied behind your back?" Both females looked at the very first soul reapers who graduated and became Captains.

"Oh yeah, he was heated about that one." She remembered the heat in the normally calm blue eyes.

"It's still a mystery about how he got nailed in the balls to this day." She looked over at the white hair man. Not having him say something ever remotely that vulgar in ages.

"Well lookey here, Juu-chan can say something vulgar." She smiled sweetly at him.

"But of course, I learned from the best Captain." He shot back at her.

"Those were different times Jushiro." She said evenly.

"We came to collect you two, because the west and eastern gates have been prepped already." Angel looked over at Mitskani.

"So he did give an ETA."

"You're the only one who doesn't Angel." She got out of her seat and pulled Angel out of hers.

"So not true, I always send a butterfly." She shot out.

"You mean the ones only you can speak to?" Angel took her hand back and crossed it over her chest.

"I still send them." She marched in front of them as they made their way over to the west gates over by Squad 2.

Yamamoto was barking out orders, and the Captains and Lieutenants were taking their appropriate spots. All except these two females, and the eldest Shiba who took her spot on Angel's right.

"Today some of our finest come home." Yamamoto bellowed out to them. "We will treat our forefathers with the respect they deserve." Eye's jumping to Squad Ten for a moment, then back to the rest of them. "Let's welcome home our heroes."

"Somehow I feel like he didn't do this for us." Angel whispered to her companions.

"No shit you didn't send an ETA bitch." They both responded to her. Mitskani and Suzuki smacking her upside the head. Sending her stumbling down the path between the odds and evens. Even with her better than cat like reflexes she knew she was going to hit the ground. Just as she was going to hit the floor she pushed her hands out in front of her to break the fall.

Familiar hands grasped her, and pulled her up to her feet but never letting go.

Crimson and sapphire clashing, fair skin held by slightly tanned, blonde tresses mixing with black ones, small hands held by large ones. The world around them seemed to blur out for this one moment. He was finally here. The ying to her yang, light to her darkness, even the oil to her water and so many other comparisons she could give. If she hadn't shed so many tears the past couples days, almost week she would have teared up.

"Alive?" His firm reassuring voice filled her ears like the sweetest melody.

"Alive." She wrapped her arms around him neck and buried her head into the crook between his neck and shoulder. Gripping him like he was her life line. But who was she kidding, everyone knew that. No matter how much they drove each other crazy, they were inseparable. Always have been for the past four milenniums, nothing would ever change that. No person, god, demon, hollow, no one.

And for the time being her demons weren't tormenting her. The raging storm in her mind quelled, with just a few moments of his presence.

Here it isssss Chapter 13! Things will be a bit slower just plot wise because I think it'd be best to help with the new OCs that are coming in, and clearing up the past.
