Shinichi crawled over to a wall and sat against it. Ran could see Masaya's body across the room, and she could feel her throat choke up, and her insides churn. She put her attention back to Shinichi, who stared off expressionless. She looked back at Masaya and even approached the lifeless body, which made her tears start to come out. Even though he went a little crazy, she couldn't stop from caring about him. She was about to speak, but Shinichi broke the silence instead, "How could this happen?" he started, "I let Tsuki die. I let Yuki die. I even…" he trailed off and avoided facing his direction towards Masaya, "I even killed someone."
"But it was-"
"It doesn't matter," he interrupted, "Anything else would've caused him to let go: the shoulder, or maybe even his side, so why did I aim for the neck? I should've called the police before coming in the first place. I'm such an idiot."
His words earned him a slap to the face. Ran's new lack of strength didn't hurt him, but nevertheless, it caught his attention. "Don't say that!" she yelled at him, "You got here just in time and saved me. Don't talk like some sort of villain," she paused and sat next to him, tears slowly streaming down her face, "You're a hero."

She constantly kept her eyes out the window. They started to reach areas she didn't even recognize. Gin broke the silence, "Don't bother memorizing our direction. I'm taking you to the Organization. You will be imprisoned, you will work on APTX 4869, and you will be monitored 24/7. Any questions?"
"Why is this all necessary? Can't you just kill me and get it over with?" she asked, still gazing out the window.
"We have potential buyers for a drug that kills immediately and doesn't show up in an autopsy, which was what APTX 4869's initial purpose, but due to Vermouth's plan to kill us, we now know that the drug actually turns people into children," Gin answered.
"So," she started, "the drug doesn't work. It hasn't for awhile. That doesn't explain why I'm needed," she complained, looking for some way to get out of there.
He placed the gun down in between them, and reached into a compartment, taking out a chart of lowering stats, and gave it to her, "Our budget hasn't been doing very well. We've had to cut back on equipment, and others are worried that people will be the next thing to take cuts from, so some of the members have been turning on one another, depending if the person is holding us back or not." So is that why Vermouth killed Vodka? Shiho thought, as he continued, "We already have customers willing to pay hundreds of thousands just for a couple of pills. We need you to make them work."

He and Ran were taking a walk back to the Kudo mansion. They wanted nothing more than to finally get some sleep. When they got home, they knew that Shiho should probably know what happened, so they looked around for her a bit, but couldn't find her. "Oh dammit," Shinichi said, remembering, "I told her to wait in front of your place in case you and Kaito ever showed up," he sighed in frustration, and took out his phone to call her.

"You're being compliant," she said, surprised.
"Anokata contacted me, giving orders to answer all of your questions," he responded, and then looked at her with a serious expression, "Don't think that this makes us friends."
As soon as his attention went back to the road, she swiftly grabbed the gun from between them, "I understand," she spoke out, and then pulled the trigger. Nothing happened, and Gin smiled. She pulled it several more times.
The gun was empty.
Crimson Amarone: Well, I'd be pretty relieved if I saved someone from being raped, but it does involve murder, so I see where you're coming from. The ending was a bit too cutesy. Anyway, thanks for reading! (:
