Chapter 14, Christmas shopping part 1

Teddy smiled and stretch, he had just finished filling the last of four bookshelves in his course Scorpius new room.

When Draco told his and his godfather about the kidnapping of his son they didn't know what to think.

(Flashback)

The table was silent, Teddy and Harry didn't know what to think, Teddy who was still sitting next to his cousin Draco look to his godfather for what to do next, his godfather looked pensive.

Harry looked over at his wants hated school rival in bully, but sitting here how at this very moment, Harry didn't see the snobby rich kid he had known from his school days, now sitting here across from that boy anymore but a father, a father who would do anything to protect his child.

Harry took a lungful of air before speaking. "What can we do to help? he asked is whoever took your Sun still after him?"

Draco just mutely nodded, this moment in time the blonde just looked defeated. taking a calming breath Draco turn to Teddy and asked,

"Teddy Lupin,'' the blonde started, ''black blood runs through your veins just as it runs through mine and my sons, at this time it is too dangerous for Scorpius to return to the US." Draco looked hard into the currently emerald-green eyes of his cousin and continued by asking " and I come before you today to asked you if for th this manhunt for my son's kidnapper's, if you a member of the black family would do my wife and I a favor and allow our son to live with you and allow me and my wife to make you his temporary guardian?"

(EndFlashback)

He has Sat there what seemed a very long time thinking about his cousins request.

After a lot of contemplation and discussing with his Uncle Harry, he decided to wait till the end of the school year to make his final decision, but in the meantime he agreed for his cousin Scorpius to come stay with him over the Christmas break.

Next on his to-do list after he finished with his cousins room, he had planned to finish his Christmas shopping with his Aunt Ginny, he had actually already finish to shopping but now he had a few more gifts to buy.

Teddy was just exiting his cousin's room when his flu shined signaling he had a flu call, Teddy quickly walked across his living room to answered his call.

Taking his head into place Teddy answered, " hello?"

"Hello Teddy bear." Ginny said to her nephew since had appeared in her own fireplace." are you ready to go shopping Teddy?" Ginny asked.

Teddy nodded and said, "yes, just let me grab my wallet and then I'll be through." with a nod and a smile Ginny's head left of the fireplace.

Teddy pulled his own head out of his fireplace he walked over to his kitchen where his keys were laying on the table, grabbing them as well as his wallet he walked back over to the fireplace in grabbing a handful up some flu powder he stepped into his fireplace I threw down the powder and hollering out , "POTTER COTTAGE" he was off in an inferno of green flames.

Potter Cottage

After Ginny finished talking to Teddy she quickly finished up the laundry with a swish of her wand, even though she had grown up with magic she found that doing things by hand the Muggle way was much more satisfying than doing every little chore with magic all the time.

Her and Harry tried not to use a lot of magic in their own day-to-day lives to try to set an example for their children, that you didn't need to always rely on magic for every little thing.

She had just sent the last clean and folded basket to its designated room when Teddy stepped out of the fireplace. Giving Teddy a smile Ginny walked over to the coat rack and grabbed her fall jacket, slipping it on she turned back to Teddy and nodding they both grabbed a hand full of flu powder and made their way to Diagon Alley.

-Diagon Alley

Stepping out of the flu network Ginny and Teddy were greeted by the warm atmosphere of the Leaky Cauldron.

Ginny side as she remembered different holiday dates Harry or weekend lunches her mom . Teddy smiled at all the Christmas cheer he saw around the pub.

Ginny waved and gave greetings to people they pass. When they made it to the back of the Pub Ginny pulled out her wand and tapped out the brick sequence to open the gateway to the alley.

The first place they went to was the bank, we're both withdrawal money for their shopping.

They started going store to store and doing a bit of window shopping, Jenny stopped in to Birgin and Berks to buy a book that was just released for Lily.

They walked around the alley some more, Teddy had no idea what to get for his young cousin, he sighed, he didn't even know what his cousin light or was in to.

He sighed again as he turned to his Aunt Ginny and said, " hey Aunt Ginny can we take a break and get something to eat?"

Ginny just nodded, she could see that Teddy was get frustrated with the lack of progress they were making in regards to fund a gift for young Scorpius. She thought the lunch break was a good thing, it would give them a chance to regroup and think.

so they made their way back to The Leaky Cauldron.
