Chapter 18: The Aura Types
Me: Obviously it's been a long time. I landed myself in College and FINALLY have free time, so what better way than to spend it writing stories for you guys. Other than that, let's get this show on the road.

Red had just earned the Soul Badge, when Lance came up to him to talk to him.
"We need to talk, NOW." Lance said to Red's masked face. Red sighed and walked out with him.
"Who was that young man? I've never seen a person command Pokémon with such power and authority?" Koga was left pondering.
"Where have you been these past few years? We declared you dead!" Lance was obviously flustered and aggravated.
"I was training, both my Pokémon and myself." Red extended his hand and forced Aura through it. What came next amazed Lance. Red's coat extended further by a few inches, his gloves slowly became metallic and pointed at the fingertips, and his mask started to extend and close around his head and fully enveloped him, the lines on the mask warped. His pants had become baggier, while his combat boots became more pointed and the tip split into two and also became more pointed, to the point which made it look like he had talons for toes. Purple and black lightning started crackling in Red's hand and a black and purple Javelin appeared.
"Aura?! You can wield Aura?" Lance was astounded that the trainer he was keeping his eyes on had the ability to manipulate Aura. Lance noticed Red start to breathe heavily and assumed this was taxing his brain and muscles. Lance told Red to disengage his Aura.
"How do you know so much about Aura?" Red asked Lance. Lance replied by extending his own hand and a Longsword appeared in it. It was a deep royal blue with tints of red in it. Red looked on with interest or what seemed like it. Only he knew since his face was covered.
"I have Aura of that of the Dragon type. It seems you have the Dark type. Which is odd since Dark type Aura usually stands for malevolence, evil, and cruelty. But you are different. I don't sense that from you at all."
"So each Aura tells you about the Aura Users personality?" Red inquired to Lance. He wanted to know more.
"Yes, Dark Types are generally the worst and targeted by a lot of other users. Dragon Types such as myself are proud, loyal, and powerful. Fire Types are as you could guess, hot-headed, quick to anger, and generally are hard to get along with. Water Types are laid-back and pretty much lazy, but if you anger them, they change. Grass Types are people who are aloof and don't give a shit. Electric Types are proud and fickle. Poison Types are up there with Dark types but they have different personalities. They basically do what they think is right in their eyes. I have had a hard time giving them personalities due to the fact that each one is different. Ground Types are cold and merciless, but wise at the same time. Rock Types are loyal to the core. They will take hits for the team. Steel Types, well, they don't really have a personality to say. It's pretty hard for me to give them one. Psychic Types are as you would know are calculating, quick thinkers, and can multi-task greatly. Ghost Types are tricksters to the heart. Flying Types like to be free and do what they want. Bug Types have the personality of a young boy or girl. They like to explore often leading them into trouble. Normal types come in varieties. Active, lazy, quick to anger. There are so many that new ones pop up every day. Ice Types have a cold heart and show almost no emotions. Fighting Types as you would guess love to fight to a fault. Other than that, nothing else." Lance was obviously winded from the long explanation he just gave.
Red was amazed at how many types there were.
"One more questions, do Type Advantages and Disadvantages work like they do with Pokémon?" Red asked Lance.
"Surprisingly, no. Let me give you an example. Psychic versus Fighting. Naturally when they go against each other, Psychic wins. But I have seen people with Aura of those types do a reverse. Psychic Types may be able to be think quick but that slows them down, Fighting Types have a natural aptitude towards fighting, so they don't think when they fight, they just do. What I think the Fighting Types did was get rid of thinking during combat, they might have thought of it as a liability. Psychic Types don't have time to react fast enough with all the hits they are taking. Each type has their fault." Lance explained.
Red nodded and began to walk away.
"Hang on, if you trained for a few years, I'm curious how strong you have gotten. Let's battle. Our best Pokémon against each other." Lance was holding his Poke Ball in his had ready for a fight.
"Fine, I always wanted to test how much stronger I got" Red took the Poke Ball of his Necklace.
Me: I love being hated. I think a lot of people wanted this to happen or maybe not. But yes I am pitting Red against Lance in the next chapter and then some. I also explained Aura pretty well for my story. I did not put Fairy in, for the fact that they were not discovered until Kalos. Since Kanto and Johto are next door neighbors I let Dark and Steel types in. R&R for me please.
