Short Recap:

A couple walked in the room, striking fear into the hearts of everyone. They held gentle smiled, but gave an aura of pure malevolence. They are the feared Trancy. From the metaphor, they can literally strike fear –and anything else- into anyone's heart.

Hello! How Are You?
Chapter 14: Goodbye Memories

"The cherry blossoms bloom, fluttering away, on my empty hands, gently, it comes to rest
Ephemeral, tender… I feel so afraid; it just might break this flower that is just like you

At the gates, we always see, that little child goes sneaking through in as usual
With eyes filled with happiness, he goes, grasping random things he can get hold off, daily.

I live through these days filled with nothingness that always seem to repeat itself
And with my heart completely cold, I close my eyes looking for the moment when the flowers would bloom

The cherry blossoms bloom, fluttering away, on my empty hands, softly it comes to rest
Ephemeral, tender… I feel so afraid; it just might break, a flower that is just like you

The hideous spike in my heart, after a long time I've finally thrown it away
"This is good enough" you say; while looking for the next Spring's escape way
Aren't you?

The ball I lost and I gave up on… The one who found it for me was you, wasn't it?

The spring has come, blossoming and proud, the dusty ground is shaken by the wind
Stepped on steadily, breaks out tearfully, looks like it might break, this flower that is just like you

I have come to get the forgotten things that is here on my used-to-be empty hand
Ephemeral, tender… I feel so afraid; it just might break, a flower that is just like you"

"Is that your song?" the older woman asked the young teen; sitting on the free space of the piano bench, placing herself next to Vivianne.

"Yup. I thought of making a song showing a bit of Japan." Young Vivianne replied as she reads the plain music sheet she gently held.

"Why get the sudden interest in Japan, dear? Europe is of more interest, if I'm not mistaken?" the woman replied, trying to hide the expression of dismay on her slightly aged face.

"Maria, I know well that you want me to join the main branch of Mai Mai. Japan is full of interesting history, traditions, and awesome gadgets and phones!"

"Address me as 'mother', dear. You don't want me to scold you. Well, if that's your choice, then I-"

Before she could finish her sentence, the 13 year old Vivianne added: "And something in Japan, or of Japan, is dragging me there. It screams to me, "Tour here!"." Maria immediately left without mentioning another word. Vivianne blankly stared at her as she left.

'What did I do now..?' Vivianne thought to herself as she pouted.

'Wait… why am I thinking of this now..? Ugh… I'm so tired. I want to sleep forever.'

"Don't say that, Vivi." The demon prefect ordered. Suddenly, she sees that she was sitting by the doorway leading to the elegant garden of Hibari. She wore a blue kimono with simple fish designs that seemed to have a glowing effect on its tail. Her blonde hair was tied into a bun, and she wore thin make-up.

'How did you…'

"I love you. Of course I know what you're thinking of."

'I think I'm dreaming. You'd never say sweet things like that, Hibari, so easily.'

"You doubt me that much. Fine, I'll let you take a nap, but promise me to wake up."

The exact opposite happened.

At the moment, Shamal and the Trancy were talking with Reborn and Tsuna. It was one of those times when Reborn would suddenly go on an unsuspecting time to answer his questions. Maria stood next to Vivianne's white hospital mattress, while her husband happily stood next to her; Shamal stood by the curtain covered-window, near Maria. Tsuna stood by the door, his hands clenched together in front of his crotch, while Reborn sat on Tsuna's shoulder. It felt tense.

"It's a privilege to meet the 10th boss of the Vongola family. I am Maria Trancy, original manager of Vivianne Trancy." Maria started to break the ice, showing a fake smile that can fool anyone. Anyone except Reborn.

"Also, you're a member of the now defunct-" Reborn adds, but his sentence got cut.

"Shhh. That's in the past."

Tsuna felt like there was something evil, cruel, and painful in her past. From the moment he saw her, he knew she was not a person to trust. The best way to describe her was, poison-coated sweets.

"Now tell me, what's going to happen?" Reborn asked.

"Vivianne's going to be a completely new person once she wakes up again." Maria replied, removing her gaze from Reborn's blank eyes.

"Honestly, tell me."

"This is a business you should not meddle in, arcobaleno."

"You're right. This is Tsuna's business because Vivianne is the future wife of his guardian."

Maria burst out in an annoying witch-like laugh. Oh, how stupid they are, the blonde woman mentally stated. She laughed like that for a while, her hands placed on her stomach. Jay placed his pale hands on Maria's back, trying to calm her. "Shh, dearie. This is serious talk." The brunette said gently.

"Fine, fine." The woman replied, a bit of laughter mixed in her sentence. "Let's say Vivianne is engaged to Hibari Kyouya. Who even said I agreed to that? That Hibari can find himself a wife. I have other plans for Vivianne. And, as I speak, my plans are being carried out."

"Can we stop this bullshit?" Shamal cuts in, and approaches Vivianne's bed. "You've spoiled her enough." He didn't look at Maria's eyes for he knew that her glare was menacing, yet sly.

"What's Dr. Shamal talking about? I thought Vivianne lives alone." Tsuna said. Suddenly, the sound of a small alarm clock rattled the visitors.

"I don't think Shamal and my husband can talk with you now. They have to prepare for Vivianne's operation. With that, it's goodbye for all of her friends." Maria said, reaching her pocket. She puts her hand in her pocket, looking for something while Tsuna held his scream. But, wait! No. He didn't hold it.

"What are you really doing to Vivianne!? I don't care whether she's Hibari's fiancé, she's my friend. If you're going to harm her, I won't let that." Tsuna bursted out, not knowing what exact words to say but what to tell her.

"I'm making her a beautiful future." She replied, bringing out a blue notepad, taking notes. "A future that doesn't include you Vongola."

Jay smiled at Shamal, signalling him to remove Vivianne's bed. "Excuse us." Jay said, gesturing his hand at Tsuna's direction, telling him to move. Instead, Tsuna stood in front of the door. "Don't test me." He added. Tsuna started to hear screams of children. Blood trickled on Jay's doctor's uniform. Crazy was written all over Jay's slightly aged face. Jay's eyes pierced Tsuna's soul and will. With fear, Tsuna moved out of the way, making Jay and Shamal leave the room. Reborn gave Tsuna a flying kick, returning him to his senses.

"Tsuna. What did you do that for?" Reborn asked. Tsuna's eyes were shaking, and then he turns his gaze at Maria.

"W-who are you..?" Tsuna asked, his voice shaking. For some reason, Mukuro entered his mind. Tsuna felt the presence of the illusionist enter his mind, yet did not take action. The fear and heavy aura everyone in the room was not going to drown Tsuna, then kami-sama knows what will.

"Suppose I can tell you… Let me add more info about myself. Me and my husband is a part of the dead Estraneo family. We are part of the experimental group. You might recall a member of yours who destroyed everything."

"I see. C'mon Tsuna. Nothing will happen if this conversation continues. Truth to be told, something much worse might happen." Reborn said, gulping down his pride. Tsuna, after being forced to, left the hospital. Tsuna wanted to know much more about the situation. He felt so weak at the moment.

"Reborn, will Vivianne be okay?"

"Her body will be fine. Her mind won't be."

"What do you mean?"

"They're going to do an operation on her brain. I don't know what they're going to do, but, it's not good."

"How about Shamal? Why is he siding with them?"

"He's forced to side with them. If I'm not mistaken, he's in debt a few years ago. A stranger helped him out. Perhaps it's Maria."

"How can they do that to Vivianne!? Isn't she their daughter?"

"She's adopted."

Tsuna was left stunned. He couldn't add another question. He punched the white wall of his room out of frustration. He couldn't help his friend, and he doesn't know why. Literally, Reborn cuffed his foot to his bed and took away his dying will pills. Reborn said that leaving and fighting them is a risk. And, this time, "it's not Tsuna's duty to fight…

It's someone else's."

But still, Vivianne is a human being. She has freedom, freewill, rights, and her own life. It wasn't just long ago when Vivianne was filling her life with memories like any other person.

Are those moments fake?

Tsuna was lost in thought. Reborn's last words echoed in his mind. He didn't mind the shackles on his ankle which tied him to his bed for the meantime. He didn't mind that he's a normal teenager without his gloves and pills at the moment. He simple stayed obedient because, it's not Tsuna's duty to fight. It's someone else's.

"Reborn." Tsuna muttered. "Is that all I can know about Vivianne?"

"Right now, yes. My knowledge is as limited as yours. Don't worry Tsuna. The days will pass by fast."

"How can you be sure-"

"You're too noisy!" Reborn shouted before hitting Tsuna with his heavy mallet, making Tsuna fall asleep.

The young hitman spent a few moments staring at the unconscious Tsuna before leaving the room, and into the night. Factually, too much has been said to Tsuna, and there's too much that Reborn knows. The young hitman knows when and when not to meddle into others' lives. And, the Trancy's life, he just happened to stumble upon it a few months back... When they encountered Mukuro Rokudo.

Reborn wanted to go to two places. Firstly, to Mukuro Rokudo to... chat... with him. Secondly, back to Namimori Hospital to get more information. Reborn has gone to deep, and is way past the point of no return. He simply doesn't want to get into anymore trouble.

Silently, he walked down the dim streets, still thinking on where to head to. When suddenly, a voice calls out to him. He turns around to see if anyone was there, just to be sure that his above average senses didn't fool him. He frowned at the sight of emptiness.

He has made his choice.

"Arcobaleno." the voice called.

"Why won't you show yourself, Mukuro Rokudo?" Reborn replied, holding out his hand as if holding a gun. Not so long, Leon had transformed into a gun and fits himself in Reborn's hand.

"Kufufu. A good question, indeed. But I will leave that unanswered. Suppose that you are heading to the hospital?"

"I asked you a question."

"Kufufu. How rude."

"I should say that to you. What is your business?" Reborn did not drop his guard, but drops his hand to the side. He then looks around.

"I am stopping you from killing the Trancy."

"I am no-"

"Before me."

The young hitman had mixed emotions when he heard of it. Mukuro said it in, possibly, the most threatening tone he's heard. Those two words were able to mix up the knowledgeable Reborn.

"What made you think that I will kill them?" he scoffed. "It is not me who'll do the dirty work."

"Oh? You intrigue me. Kufufu. Say, who will do the 'dirty work' then, arcobaleno?"

"Take a guess." he replied with a smirk, as he walks off. "Good night, Mukuro Rokudo."

Mukuro did not like this. Neither did anyone. How can a pitiful, weak, and self-righteous woman deal such problems with a mafia family? He knew little, but knows all of what will happen. Though his encounter with Reborn did not go as expected, he forms a smirk as he thinks of his new plan.

"Perhaps, I will not let anyone kill that Vivianne Trancy."
