My Sad New Life
Chapter 14
So this is the last chapter. It's kind of an epilogue but it's not. Sorry it's so short. I really enjoyed writing this story, even though looking back through it made me realize that my writing sucks. But that's not going to stop me! Thank you to everyone who followed and favorited this story. I love you guys.

Thalia stayed for two weeks. I spent as much time as possible with her. If I wasn't with Thalia, I was catching up with the other campers. I had quickly fallen back into the regular camp routine, and I took back my place as the head counselor of the Athena cabin. Words couldn't describe how happy I was to be back at camp.
As the end of summer came closer, I decided to stay at Percy's place for the school year and go to Goode with him. Percy was ecstatic about that. Sophia was going to go back to San Francisco. She was disappointed that I wouldn't be coming with her, but I reminded her that I would see her next summer. Plus, Ariel would be wondering where we had disappeared to. Sophia had been disappointed that she couldn't tell Ariel about the Greek gods, but she understood why it couldn't happen.
"You take care of yourself. You shouldn't have any trouble with monsters, but you have your sword, right? Just in case?"
"Yes, mom." Sophia mocked me, but she was smiling. "Honestly, chill dude. I'll be fine."
"It's my job to prepare you." I said. "Besides, I trained you. And it looks bad on my resume if my trainees die in their first fight with a monster. Doesn't really give a good light to my teaching skills." I joked.
"Yeah, because we'll all be worried about your reputation while I am off to the side getting torn apart by a hellhound." She rolled her eyes.
I smiled. "I'm glad you have your priorities straight." Argus honked the horn. He was waiting to take Sophia and a couple other campers to the airport. "You better go; I'll see you next summer." I hugged her and she jogged down the hill to where the camp van was waiting.
I watched as it pulled away and drove out of sight. The end of the summer session had always made me sad, even when I was a year-round camper. I have always hated endings.
A hand was placed on my back. "My mom will be here soon." Percy said, coming to a stop beside me. "Are you all packed?"
"Yeah, my bag is in my cabin." I rested my head on his shoulder. We both stood in silence, watching campers disappear into the mortal world.

The blue Prius pulled up at the bottom of the hill. Percy's mom stepped out of the driver's side and waved. As Percy and I walked down Half-blood hill hand in hand I thought that perhaps it wasn't an ending. Perhaps today marked a new beginning.

And that's the end. I have to say that it did not end how I expected. I just decided that I had to write something since I haven't written since, what? November? Anyway, I just started writing and this is the result. I think it seems a little rushed, but I'm too lazy to fix it so this is what you get.
