Zira was standing before Scar who was facing out toward the window behind him, gazing out to the city outside. All the while there was a complete void of silence between one another. Since the morning news from channel fifteen had aired across every TV screen across New York, the people came to hear the news of what was to be the second time the Black Dragons came to suffer another humiliating defeat against those careless enough to stand against them. It was now that all they had worked to accomplish, the Empire they were building atop of this might metropolis was starting to crumble, as now New York may yet come to undermined their threat and rise against them.
"Commander, Zira, I expected better from you." He said, unpleased by the final result of her mission.
"You've proven yet again of the incompetence of your soldiers. But now because of your failure to rid us of this new enemy, the city is now beginning to undermined us."
"Master Scar," she said.
"Please, I assure you that I will bring the people back under our control. We will retaliate and this time we will-"
"Enough." Scar demanded, turning back to her.
"I grow tired of hearing your false promises. If my commander can't make though on one simple task, then what good could you bring to our empire?"
Zira then fell silent as desired from her master. She simply stood at attention before bowing her head to him.
"Yes master." she said.
Scar simply turned back toward the city outside. Now that their rule faced great opposition from this new enemy, which in turn had been spread by word from that young reporter, they must do what they can to remind the people of their rule. They need to remind of the fear which they brought upon them when they had first came to this city.
"This reporter believes she can give the people hope." Scar explained.
"But hope is nothing more but a false pretence against the might of the Black Dragons. We must teach the people what happened when they try rebelling against us."
He looked back to Zira.
"Take your soldiers and attack the city." He ordered.
"Bring the people to their knees."
"Yes, my master." he said before she turned and walked toward the doorway.
It was once that Zira had left the room that Scar looked to his left, where five Black Dragon ninja's were standing in at attention.
"Find this reporter." he ordered them.
"And when you do, execute her on sight."
Jumping from one roof top after another, Simba, Nala, Mheetu and Kovu made their way into the city in hope they could reach Elsa before The Black Dragons. Swiftly they raced across from one side to the other leaping far over the streets below before landing on the next building. Time was of the very essence at this moment and a lot was at stake, not just their future but also another who had come to enter this war. Elsa had but now placed a price on her head for the story for the news this very morning. The dragons would search for her at this time and would silence her as a means to resume control over New York.
"Do we even know where we're going?" Mheetu asked, leaping upon the top of the stair structure.
"We've never went this far into the city before. You sure we're going the right way?"
"Hate to admit it, but Mheetu has a point." Kovu said.
"We don't even know where we're going."
Knowing that to be true, Simba turned and looked out for anyway to gain a better view of the city. It was then the group leader spotted a tall apartment building straight ahead in the distance.
"Over there!" He said pointing at the structure.
"If we can get to that building, we can get a better view of the city from there."
The four moved quickly and leaped to the next structure. As each building stood higher then the other, the four siblings climbed atop the fire escape and leaped up onto the roof. It was there that they ran to the other side, where they looked out upon the city for the Channel fifteen building.
"Can any of you see it?" Simba asked, looking to Nala and Mheetu.
"No." Nala said, turning to Simba
"I don't see it anywhere."
"How can it be this hard?" Mheetu asked, curiously.
"It's a building with the number fifteen on it. How many buildings in New York have Fifteen on them?"
As Nala gazed out, it was then that one of the structures far ahead caught his sight. As she squinted her eyes for a vision that could reach far to her suspected structure. It was over it's roof which she came to see a red glowing sign which hung over the top of the building. From how it looked from where she stood, the sign looked as if it was a number of some kind. Two numbers in fact! One resembled the very number of one and the other looked to be a... five!
Nala widened his eyes.
"There!" She said, pointing to the structure ahead.
"You sure?" Kovu asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." Nala insisted upon the matter.
"Now come on, hurry!"
Nala leaped off the side of the building to the structure not too far below. Simba, Mheetu and Kovu followed after her.
Elsa grabbed her coat from her seat before she slipped it on before she gabbed her purse which was on her desk. As she turned to go to the elevators, she faced with Kristoff who stood in front of her.
"That was quiet the save back there." He commented.
"Still don't know why you did it."
"What do you mean?" Elsa asked, putting her purse over her shoulder.
"Well I mean you found the story of a life last night," Kristoff explained.
"You were so eager to tell everyone and then all of a sudden you get second thoughts. And I don't think it was putting the panic was exactly the reason for it."
Elsa remained quiet for a moment, unsure of how she could answer him. As much as she trusted him, Nala wasn't anything she wished to share with anyone. But this also came to expose a very suspicious behavior on her part, especially since she been looking so desperately for a story she could put on the air.
"Well... I just..." Elsa said, trying to come up with something good to say.
"Just what?" Kristoff asked.
"I just thought it was... kind of far fetched." Elsa finally said, before she passed him by.
Kristoff stood there for a moment, trying to process exactly what she had said. Needless to say he was speechless and completely dumb founded by her words. There was no way on Earth or the Universe itself for that matter, that Elsa Bridger would find a single any detail of any story like this to be far fetched.
"Wow, wow, wow!" Kristoff said, before he dashed after and came beside her.
"Did you just say far fetched, as in the two words that I never hear you say in regards to a story."
"Well like you said, who would believe that there are mutated lions." Elsa said.
"You do have video proof of it." Kristoff brought up.
"It doesn't matter." Elsa said, as she and Kristoff came up to the elevator doors.
"No one needs to know about them."
It was then that the elevator door opened and Elsa stepped into the squared shaped room.
"I'll see you tomorrow." She said, before turning and pressing the main floor button.
As the door closed, Kristoff was left standing where he was utterly confused by his co-worker. As much as he agreed keeping these mutant lions out of the publics eye, he notice that there was something off with Elsa. It was already clear to him that it wasn't the publics eye which kept her from spilling that particular detail of the story. There was something else about this whole thing that he couldn't put his figure upon at the moment. She seemed very protective over the mutant lions. Why was that?
Over top the roof of one of Channel fifteens neighboring buildings, the four sibling had already arrived on sight. They came to the edge of the building, gazing down at the news station below. Simba kneeled down as he glanced down at the building. Upon the twenty or so floors which were stacked atop one another, he noticed the many employees walking back and forth inside, none of which didn't appear to be Elsa. It was clear that she must be somewhere inside the building where they wouldn't be able to see from the outside.
"I can't see her from out here." He said, looking back to Nala, Mheetu and Kovu.
"She must be somewhere inside."
The other three looked to one another, trying to figure out what to do. This had placed them in a quiet difficult position regarding never to be seen by the outside world.
"So what do we do now?" Kovu asked, turning to Simba.
"Can't just walk in through the front door."
"You don't think the Black Dragons got her first." Mheetu brought up.
"Do you see that building on fire or on the verge of collapsing?" Kovu asked, dumbfounded by his brothers question
However as he continued staring down at the building, he came to notice a blue car pulling out into the street from the parking garage from below the building.
"Wait." he said, making his three siblings look to him.
"Do you see something?" Nala asked, curiously.
"There's a car pulling out of the garage." Simba said, pointing down below.
"Could it be her?" Mheetu asked.
"It could be anyone." Kovu pointed out.
"There are thousands of people who own cars in this city."
As the car pulled out into the street and drove ahead, Simba continued to observe the vehicle's departure from the news station. Though as it passed by some of the buildings along the way, Simba lifted his sights to the tops where he came to spot trouble. Just above he saw several man in black whose faces were covered by masks and with swords over their backs. All of which were coincidently, spying the same car he was, which could only mean they were Black Dragons.
"We got trouble." He said.
As Nala, Mheetu and Kovu took notice of their suspects, it was then they turn and leaped to the next roof as they followed after the blue car.
"They'll following the car!" Nala said, looking to the others.
"Which could only means..." Mheetu said.
Simba stood up and turned to his three siblings.
"We got to hurry!"
