Sunset tried to ignore the whispers as she made her way to class, knowing that if she got through until lunch she'd at least have one friend in each class after.
Is it true what Sandalwood said? That no one is completely good or bad? I mean I was always a jerk, even as a blank flank.
She thought as she remembered putting her older sister's hoof in a bucket of water when the older filly was sleeping.
I've never been innocent.
She thought as she entered the classroom and taking a seat nearest the door, letting her mind wonder.
"Give it up Sunset! You'll never be able to do a real spell! You'll only ever make those sparks and use levitation spells!"A filly from her class had yelled as she had tried once again to light a fire. They had been on a camping trip with her school, one that her parents had only allowed her to go on because her older sister was also going."Shut up! I will prove I will be a great magician!"She had yelled, earning a laugh from her sister who stood farther back."Horse-apples, you can't even make a campfire! No wonder our parents regret having you."
Shaking the thoughts from her mind she turned her attention back to reality just as the teacher walked in, or rather the substitute.
He was a tall, slender man with a dark skin tone, shaggy white hair and red and yellow eyes.
"Hello class. Call me Mr. D, Principal Celestia has asked me to fill in for your biology teacher today. I am suppose to give you a quiz but if you don't cause too much chaos I'll let this be an...shall we say independent study period?"
The whole room engulfed with cheers at the prospect of a free period and Sunset sighed with relief. At least there was one class that she wouldn't have homework for.
She didn't have anything to do or anyone to actually talk to so she turned her attention to her phone, seeing a friend invite notification on top of the screen. Smiling slightly she hit accept just as someone threw a paper airplane into her.
Glancing at it she saw that there was writing on it and against her better judgement she unfolded it.
"Go back to where you came from Whorse."
It didn't take a genius to figure out the author of the note had combined the words whore and horse and the fiery haired teen rolled her eyes.
Well points for creativity I guess.
She thought as she listened to a group of guys behind her snickering, her hand tightening around the charm in her pocket.
Just endure this and then it's time for lunch. But Whorse? Really? That's the best they can do?
She tried to tell herself it didn't hurt, but it did if only just a bit.
