Chapter Fourteen

Blaine continued checking up on Quinn through text each chance he got for the next week before he could finally leave school. He charmed Aunt Judy into calling him out so he could leave for their free afternoon and stay with her for the weekend after. One of the Warblers would drive him into town and he'd surprise Quinn at school. It was a perfect plan. He even wore his favorite bow tie for this. He was so excited. The guys threatened to tie him to the roof of the car if he didn't stop bouncing. He couldn't help it though. He worried about Quinn a bit too much but with a baby on the way nobody could blame him.

Blaine searched through the halls of McKinley High hoping Quinn hadn't already left school. He needed to find her.

"Santana, Brittany! Have you guys seen Quinn?!" He asked panting.

"Lookie here Britt Britt we found the second hobbit." Santana eyed him smirking.

"Aren't you supposed to be at school fancy pants?" She asked again.

"We had a half day and I wanted to surprise Quinn. Where is she? Do you know?"

"Oh! Quinn's in the library! With Kurt." Britt answered smiling.

"Uh any idea where the library is?" Blaine asked. Seeing their looks he rolled his eyes.

"Nevermind I'll find it myself. See you around." He takes off going to find his friend.

Finding the library was harder than he thought but he found it. Now to look for Quinn. He looked all around and was about to give up when he finally saw her. Studying with a boy with good hair.

"Quinn." He smiled taking a seat across the table.

"Blaine? Hi? What are you doing here? And how are you here?"

"Half day. Got mom to call me out and then the guys gave me a ride. I wanted to surprise you." she rolled her eyes amused.

"Kurt meet my brother Blaine. Blaine meet my friend Kurt. Also gay. Chat." She said burying her head back in her textbook. She kind of really needed to ace that test next week.

"So you're the brother Quinn goes on and on about." Blaine nodded amused that Quinn talked about him.

"Yet I've heard nothing about you. So you're Kurt and apparently gay." Kurt stared at him wondering what he should say.

Blaine just studied those eyes. He was swimming deep.

"Yes I'm gay. I guess you're home from school to check up on Quinn? After her accident?" Kurt answered changing the topic right away. He didn't know Blaine well enough for that.

"What accident? Quinn?" Blaine turned so fast.

"What? Nothing. Just fainted last week and scared Elsa. No big deal. I'll be back. I need to pee." She answered getting up fast walking away. Blaine watching her until she's out of eyesight.

"So Kurt do you have a boyfriend?" Blaine asked hoping the answer was no because if he was honest he wanted to keep this boy for himself.

"No." Kurt answered sharply opening his French textbook. "Do you speak French or take it at all? Trying to study for a test on Monday." Blaine took that as a sign that something wasn't right but dropped it. He didn't want to push this boy away.

"So you and Kurt huh?" Quinn asked later stretched out on Blaine's bed.

Blaine shrugged. "Dunno. He seems guarded. Like you sometimes. I'm in love with his eyes though."

"Of course you'd fall for his eyes." She giggled.

He just smiled and shrugged. What could he say? He fell hard and fast which usually got him into trouble but it was worth it in the end most of the time. He was glad someone was always on his side for things like that though.

"I think I'd like to stick around and get to know him more. If that's cool with you. I can help with your school work." Quinn giggled.

"Blainey has a crush." She sang full of laughter. He just rolled his eyes amused at her. Glad to see her happy.

"So Quinnie I wanna ask you something." He told her gaining her attention.

"Sure anything." She said sitting up to lean against the headboard.

"It's about Kurt." Oh she thought. It was about Kurt. That didn't surprise her at all. She could tell he had a major crush on Kurt.

"Yeah what about Kurt?" She asked raising her eyebrow trying to fight off a giggle.

"Whats up with him? I mean is he out? Or hiding? Is something going on in his life that he's told you?" She bit her lip wondering how much to say because it really wasn't her place.

"He's out but this school is rough. Being a teenager and trying to figure out who are you are is hard enough as it is and well this school makes your old school seem like a piece of cake. He's out as in everyone knows but he really hates saying so then the bullying just gets worse. His home from what I understand is not overly bad but I mean I guess I wouldn't want mom to start dating anytime soon, if that makes sense. Honestly though B? You should really just talk to him. Get to know him and he'll open up. He can't really keep secrets." she answered truthfully hoping she didn't really say too much to betray his trust.

"Thanks. You've been a huge help. Maybe you can do me one last favor?" He answered with a huge smile.

She looked at him waiting to continue. Knowing he had more to say.

"Help set up a coffee date or study date or something?" He asked nervously waiting for her to say something.

"I'll see what I can do but no promises. I don't think the word date would be good for him but maybe we can all study together cause I know you have to have homework." He nods accepting any answer she gave him cause he knew she was right and she was helping him with this huge request.
