Author's notes: Hey guys! Summer has officially started for me! That means more updates! Yay!

Hellgurl2: Thank you! I will try not to rush it.

DarkAngel: Thank you very much! I try to get better by practicing on m my own.

Sessygurl: There is a hint of hope!

luckgirl13: Thank you! The reason Naraku didn't put it on Inuyasha was because of the fact Kagome was an easier target to get the collar on.

japanesegirl13: Thanks girl! Yep! Kagome is fighting her way through!

Greenmiko24: Thanks! I understand if you're busy lol

lovely kagome: Thank you so much! And yes, I am putting a lot of work into this!

"So you failed?" Naraku asked Kagome as she walked into the room. Kagome bowed slightly and said,

"Yes, but Inuyasha has been injured greatly. It will be easy to get him now."

"Good. Now go rest up, I have another mission for you soon." Naraku ordered. Kagome nodded and walked out of the temple room, and headed to her own.

Meanwhile,

Inuyasha had been badly injured. The attack that Kagome had used had hit harder on him than expected. "Need anything?" Sango questioned the Hanyou.

Inuyasha groaned in pain and forced out, "No, I'm good." Sango frowned but nodded. She then stood up and walked out into the clearing.

"Is he okay?" Miroku asked from his sitting position by the fire. It was Autumn, so they had to find some way to keep warm.

"Yes, but he is refusing to eat or drink anything. He must be still trying to process what's going on with Kagome," She replied, sitting down across from him. Miroku didn't reply, the two just sat in silence for a couple minutes until Miroku stood up.

"I'm going to go try to find some food." The monk said. Sango nodded and said,

"Okay, stay safe." He smiled softly to show he would and walked into the deeper parts of the forest, as he definitely wouldn't find any in the clearing the group was in. Shippo walked over to Sango and sat down. Sango flashed a smile at him to try to tell him everything would be okay, but he obviously didn't believe that because his facial features remained solemn.

"It's so quiet without Kagome or Inuyasha," Shippo commented, looking at the fire. Embers were thrown into the air every now and then and seemed to dance above the flames.

"You're right." Sango answered. Shippo laid down, staring at the sky that was now beginning to become darker ever so slowly. The sun was dipping below the horizon, casting oranges, pinks and yellows throughout the sky. It looked like someone had pained it with care.

"It's pretty, isn't it," Sango pointed out.

"Yeah," Shippo replied. There was always something wrong when Shippo acted mature. Miroku came back about an hour later with three fish, as Inuyasha probably wouldn't want any.

"Here," Miroku told the others as he put the fish on sticks like they were kabobs and set them in front of the fire so the food could cook. The group had small talk every now and then, but it seemed as if they were all trying to avoid the main problem. Soon, the food was complete and the three ate in what was now complete silence. Nobody spoke. Once the food was finished, the fire was put out and everyone headed to bed.

The next morning, Inuyasha was beginning to feel slightly better. He was the first one to wake up, so the Hanyou decided to get some fresh air. He stood up slowly, trying not to strain his still aching muscles. Inuyasha half stumbled half walked outside and he looked around. In the middle of the clearing he could see the remnants of the fire from the night before. Inuyasha realized then he was pretty hungry. After not eating or drinking for a couple of days, it catches up to you quickly after that.

Walking out into the forest, Inuyasha felt himself slowly wake up. By the time he was fully awake, the Hanyou had reached the river. The surface was calm and noting was out of place or seemed odd. That was good. Inuyasha quickly caught a fish and went to go remake the fire so he could cook it. Kagome had taught him the basics of cooking in the past, so there was a good chance that he wouldn't burn it.

While cooking the fish, Inuyasha jumped up and turned around towards the noise, ignoring the pain that shot through his body. He saw a flash of a black Haori and Hakama. It was Kagome. Her scent filled the area and he started to head towards it quickly. As fast as it had appeared, it had disappeared and Inuyasha was left, extremely confused, standing there in the middle of the empty clearing.

-At Naraku's castle-

Kagome was successful in the first part of her new mission. She had to get Inuyasha's attention, and she did just that by running at the edge of the forest, by the clearing Inuyasha was staying in. While walking back to the castle, she ran into Kagura who was about to leave.

"Oh, Hello Kagome," She greeted.

"Hello Kagura," Kagome replied. "Where are you going?"

"I have to go find Kohaku. He regained his memories somehow and ran off somewhere." Kagura told Kagome.

"Well, good luck finding him," Kagome told the wind Yokai.

"Thanks," Kagura thanked her and used the feather in her hair as her ride. Kagome continued to walk inside. She had to find Naraku and tell him of the news.
