Hey Guys! I am back! Really really really really suuuuuuuuuper sorry about the wait for this, and the fact that it is so short... It is short for a couple of reasons. First, I just wrote this in about an hour so that you would all have something to read... there will be another part of the chapter sometime tomorrow, or early next week. I PROMISE this time ;). Also, I wanted to see how many of you are still reading stories, if you still wanted me to continue writing this story... so please comment if you still want it. Here goes... Hope you like it...
Harry couldn't believe what he was hearing. This couldn't be his godfather. Dumbledore would have to be mad to let the very person that was out to murder himself, Harry, into the castle.
His ankle still painfully sore, Harry looked over to Remus who was standing there holding the sick bowl, shaking with what looked very much like rage.
"Out." He heard Remus whisper under his breath. Harry watched his teacher's hands start to shake even more, intensity building until he shouted, "Have you gone mad Albus! Get him out of here!"
Dumbledore raised his hand calmly as if to tell Remus not to worry.
"Calm, Remus. Maybe this was a bad time for us to come in here. Harry is obviously in a bad shape." Harry was thankful that Dumbledore nodded in his direction, as he could feel another wave of nausea wash over him.
The soft sound of fabric rubbing up against one another was heard and almost instantly, Harry saw the face of his favourite teacher, with the same worried eyes that he had grown so used to these past few weeks.
"Are you alright Harry?" Remus asked worried.
Harry retched and held his stomach, feeling a small tear drop down from his eye. "Fine". He grumbled, knowing that no one in the room would believe what he was saying. He came to the conclusion that he was in too much pain to worry that there was a potential murderer in the same room as him.
Remus smiled at him, making Harry feel much more comfortable about the situation.
"I don't believe a word of it." He whispered only so that Harry could hear. "Hold on a second."
Harry watched Remus turn toward Dumbledore and his unwelcome visitor.
"Could we have a moment, Harry is in a very bad shape, his ankle is broken at the moment and he is in a huge amount of pain. Also, Dumbledore…"
Harry saw Professor Dumbledore's eye twitch at the harsh address Remus just gave him.
"It is 2am in the morning, there is no need for Harry to have any visitors until the sun is up. Especially if it is a visitor of this…. State." Remus spat.
Harry stated to feel the same feeling he had come to know so well… darkness. It was coming closer and closer. The pain in his foot was building and spots were starting to dance around his eyes. "Remus…" he whispered.
Sirius growled, "That happens to be my godson, and I happen to also be innocent."
"Remus…help…me" Harry whispered, trying to gain the attention he needed. His arm went limp and sleep brought him back into the comforts of the darkness, where there was no pain or suffering… just nothing.
"Oh are you really... I-" Remus started.
"Enough!" Madame Pomfrey screamed over the hustle. "I must ask for all visitors to leave… Harry has just passed out. Whoever's idea it was to come bursting in here at this hour will have me to attend to, when Harry is conscious again."
Everyone turned to look at Harry who was ghostly white with tear streaks down his eyes.
Remus ran back over to his and held his hand, as he always did when Harry fell unconscious. It was turning into a habit and it broke Remus's heart, that it was happened so much, it was able to turn into a habit.
The room was silent for a while as the events of the past couple of minutes just sank in.
"Alright," Dumbledore's weak voice rang out against the silence. "We will come back when Harry is conscious again. Come along Sirius."
Remus heard the door to the Hospital Wing slowly close. He sat of a couple of minutes, trying to control his feelings, until it was impossible and wave after wave of sadness over came him, sobs wracking his body.
"I'm sorry Harry." He whispered, "I didn't mean to ignore you when you needed me. How could I ever forgive myself."
"You don't need to…." Came a raspy voice to Remus's left. "I already did."
Turning to face the voice he saw the bright green of Harry's eyes shining up from his pale white skin.
This did it for Remus, his body was wracked with more sobs, this time louder. "I l-love y-y-you H-harry." he sobbed.
"I know Remus. I love you too." Harry whispered as he fell asleep, his hand still held tight in Remus's.
Harry awoke before Remus had and noticed that their hands were still interlocked as they had been earlier that morning as they fell asleep together. Blinking the haziness away from his eyes, allowing his body to wake up he realised that he was still in a considerable amount of pain. His ankle, for starters has still not being completely fixed from the night before. Madame Pomfrey (Harry guessed) was busy attending to other patients and merely forgot about Harry. However Harry noticed a new pain. One that wasn't medical, or anything to do with why he was in the Hospital Wing. It was the pain of heartbreak. Thinking back to what he had learnt earlier that morning, he was shocked that Sirius Black, the man that was supposedly out to kill him and had killed his parents, was in fact his godfather. And the dream he had that night… what had it meant? As selfish as it sounded (even to Harry) but he secretly hoped that he would be able to live with Remus for the rest of his schooling life and never have to go back to the Dursleys.
"How are you sweetie?" He heard the voice of Madame Pomfrey ask as her face appeared from around the side of the curtains that surrounded his bed.
"Sore," Harry croaked looking towards his ankle.
"Oh!" Madame Pomfrey cried, clapping her hand to her mouth. "Your ankle! I totally forgot about it! I am so sorry dear!"
"It's alright." Harry said, "But would it be alright if you fixed it for good now? I'm starting to feel sick again."
"Of course, dear." she said, as she come closer and started feeling his head for a temperature. "Poor dear, you are getting rather unwell again. What is happening to you… you just can't seem to stay out of here can you?" she chuckled.
Harry closed his eyes and smiled at the witches joke.
"Don't fall asleep again!" Remus laughed. He must have just woken up again has heard the previous conversation.
Harry held out his hand and pushed Remus's face away, "You know nothing." He said jokingly.
Remus chuckled as Harry felt Madame Pomfrey move the bedsheets that were covering Harry's broken ankle, and suddenly he went silent as there was a sharp intake of breath.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked moving to sit up. However the small movement sent sharp pains up his leg sending him into waves of shaking spasms that he could no longer control.
Hands were trying hard to hold his body to the bed as he shook, he could hear screaming from Remus and Madame Pomfrey, asking for someone else to help them, but no one was around.
"This was caused by magic…" Madame Pomfrey called to Remus as she was attending to his foot as Remus lay onto of Harry in attempt to hold him down.
"Who would have done this!?" Remus called, brushing small strands of hair away from Harry's head.
"Can you really not think of anyone!?" Madame Pomfrey called from the end of the bed. "Maybe someone who was here last night that would want to kill him..?"
At that moment the shaking reached an all time high and Harry threw up all over his bed, all over Remus and the floor. He screamed the word 'Black', then passed out in a heap, his foot continuing to twitch, it's purple colour becoming black and changing back to purple in a pattern.
How did you like it!? I just had to leave on a cliff hanger... I mean... it's my style, right!? haha
Honestly, there wouldn't have even been another chapter to this story if it wasn't for a lovely reader called 'Bree', even though I haven't been writing more chapters I have still been receiving the amazing comments from you all and this particular one made me really inspired to get back into writing and finishing the story. Trust me, Harry is still in for a few more adventures before this story is Complete.
Thanks again Bree... for keeping the magic real ;)
Comment what you thought guys!? Do you really think it was Sirius that cast the spell on his own godson..?
