14.

After that day, Hermione went up Cormac at lunch, and found out that he would be more than happy to be her date. He saw that she was all torn up about everything, so he did what his older brother taught him, and hugged her. She accepted without hesitation, and even shed a few tears.

"Hermione, I know I don't know you very well, but I think that now is the best time in the world to fall in love. I've thought you were beautiful and amazing and brilliant since fourth year. Please forgive me for my forwardness, but would you also be my date to Hogsmede?" Hermione was still tucked into McClaggen's shoulder as he craddled her in his arms protectively. She almost started to cry even harder after hearing that from him and not Harry, but she knew she couldn't cry it all away. At the end of the day, Harry wasn't her's, but Cormac was willing to try to become her's, and she guessed that's all she really wanted. They broke apart, and she nodded then went in for the unexpected: she kissed him. And wasn't half bad either! And that ladies and gentlemen, was the moment that reserve Keeper, Cormac McClaggen, and the brightest witch of their age, Hermione Granger, began dating.

Since he was dating Cho now, Harry made up all of his missed assignments with her guidance. But she wasn't quite how he imagined, when it came to school work. To elaborate, all she wanted to do was snog. Snog. Snog. It was like her addiction, which kind of worried Harry, since he was not only getting any work done, but his lips were constantly swollen. Now, I'm not saying I don't like snogging Cho, but I have alot of work to do. Plus we barely talk! Through this relationship, I have found out nothing new about her, since every time I begin to talk, she covers my mouth with hers! It's getting kind of out of hand! Harry thought as this was happening again.

They were in the library, for the purpose of completing a History of Magic essay, since Hermione has been cancelling the meetings. Harry hadn't actually spoken to any of his friends besides Neville on occassions, since he left the infirmary. He was beginning to worry, since not all of them were too happy with him that day, but if what he suspects was true, that it was all about him and Cho, then he could care less. Harry was tired of trying to impress everyone [which was kind of ironic, considering the circumstances], and if they wanted to avoid him because he's dating the most popular and...beautiful, girl at Hogwarts, they weren't very great friends at all!

"Cho." Harry breathed between kisses as she moved onto his lap. Talk about PDA. "What is it dear?" She asked sweetly, acutely aware of the eyes on them. "Can we-take-a break?" He struggled against her lips. She snapped back, slightly appahled by his suggestion.

What if he doesn't like me anymore? What if he still has a thing for that filthy Mudblood!? I can't let him continue! And so she smuggled him in smooches until he had to shove her off of him. I stood quickly before she could throw herself on him again. "Cho, stop! I have all of this work to do, and you insist on snogging me to death!" Harry whisper-yelled, while rubbing the back of his hair, making it messier. Ugh. Why does he have to do that so much! Just when I think he's got it tamed, he roughs it up again! I hate it!

"Harry, please stop messing up your hair. You're even more gorgeous when its neat." She said sugary enough to make a little kid tired of sweets. But Harry noticed her dodging what he was implying. "Cho, please stop being so evasive! You know that if I don't finish these assignments, I'll fail the semester and have to take Remedial courses after break! And there is nothing wrong with m hair!" Harry yelled while packing up his stuff into his satchel. But Cho wouldn't let him go that easily. So she did the only thing that she could think of to force the Noble Harry Potter to stay: She cried. Hard. And that drew enough negative attention to make Harry put down his bag and comfort his girlfriend.

This is becoming unbearable! Cho and I aren't compatible at all! Why did I even like her!? Harry thought angrily as he picked up her bag and his with his left arm, then wrapped Cho up in his right. As the walked out, she calmed enough suggested they go to Hogsmede instead of staying back like they had arranged for two weeks now, since he had been notified that he was severely behind. Since he'd feel bad saying no when she was so upset, he agreed that he could use a break, then he took her to the Ravenclaw common room so she could drop her stuff off and get 'spruced up'. He headed then to the portrait hole to do the same. When he was exiting out of the empty dorm room, she heard giggling, familiar giggling, and squealing.

[Author's Note: Cho and Harry; Hermione and Cormac, have been dating for a little over three weeks now. Harry hasn't had a conversation, seen, or ate with any of his friends since that day after release...]

Hermione? Harry followed the sound without thinking, and they BAM! he ran into Hermione Granger being tickled on Cormac McClaggen's bed. In HIS jersey. Harry had never seen Hermione wear anyone's jersey besides his, so it kind of hurt him. And to top it all off, McClaggen was shirtless, and ripped! For reasons unknown, he was angry that McMuscles was making his Hermione laugh and giggle and squeal.

"Harry!?" Hermione said surprisedly, which caused Cormac to turn around. "Hello Cap'n what brings you to my pad?" He asked with a goofy, unknowing grin. He didn't bother to put a shirt on either. Harry didn't really know why he had came, even if he did hear Hermione. They hadn't spoken in nearly a month...

"Just to let you know that there's a practice rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Sorry if I...intruded." He informed awkwardly. It wasn't entirely fabricated, since he did reschedule it, but now he has to let everyone else know verbally, or the lie would be spent. "Oh. Well thanks Harry. I guess I'll see you around, then?" He asked dismissively, then before he could get a response, he turned back to the brunette, who looked slightly shaken still{alliteration}, and said playfully, "Where were we{alliteration}?" And with that, Harry left feeling empty and numb.
