It was nearing midnight and Nami was wide awake in bed next to her lover. She was laid near the edge of her side of the bed, turned away from him. She watched as the waves hit the shore through the open balcony window. She had a weird feeling in her chest and she couldn't sleep because of it. Since she thought he was sound asleep, she really didn't want to wake him up and bother him.

"Nami."

She turned around and saw Luffy waking up. He didn't feel her in his arms, so he assumed something was wrong. Ever since the first night, she had been sleeping on his chest. She loved hearing his heartbeat as she slept. It would put a smile on her face even if she was asleep. It was calm and soothing. It was like a small lullaby putting her to sleep. Tonight was different. She was on the very end of the bed, away from him.

"Is something wrong?" he asked while half awake.

Nami smiled. "No... just thinking. I'm sorry for waking you."

"Well, you can always 'think' here with me. I've been told I make a very comfy pillow." Luffy smirked triumphantly. Nami chuckled. The way he said it was adorable, she couldn't resist. She scooted closer to Luffy and rested her head on his chest. Luffy smiled at her reaction and wrapped his arms around her to keep her warm. She was finally settled in, he said, "that's better. Now, tell Luffy what's on your mind."

Nami rolled her eyes. "I don't really think its something you can solve."

Luffy smirked. "Try me."

Nami sighed. "Fine. I don't know why, but my chest has been aching and it won't go away. Its been like this ever since this trip started."

"You've been having those too?" Nami looked up at him. His expression made him look surprised. "My chest has been hurting, too! Its been getting on my nerves lately. It goes all "doki doki" during random times. I was going to check with Chopper about it if it didn't go away by the end of the trip."

Nami turned her head back around so she faced the opposite wall. She pursed her lips. "A mystery, huh? Suddenly, I don't feel like sleeping anymore."

"Same here," Luffy said as he placed one hand behind his head. He stared at the ceiling fan as the silence between them grew. This 'feeling' was making him curious. He has it. Nami has it. Does it mean anything between them? Could the others possibly have it?

An idea popped into his mind.

"I'll be right back," he gently lifted Nami off him and ran for the door. She watched as he zoomed out the door, leaving her to an empty room. She looked around the room for anything to do. After putting a lot of thought into it, she decided to watch TV in the living room. She slipped on her slippers and robe and walked out the door. On her way down the stairs, she saw everyone in the living room, wide awake. Everyone was downstairs except for Luffy, Nojiko and Vivi. Nojiko and Vivi must be asleep, and who knows where Luffy ran off to.

"Nami! Can't sleep?" Ace asked.

"No," she sat down between Ace and Zoro. "Where's Nojiko?"

"With Vivi and Luffy."

Nami turned to him with curiosity. "What's Luffy doing with Vivi and Nojiko?"

Ace shrugged. "Couldn't care less."

"Can I ask you two a question?" With a serious expression, Luffy stared at Vivi and Nojiko. The two girls were confused and curious as to why he would need them at this late of the night. When Luffy rushed out of his room, he ran straight into Ace and Nojiko's room, came out while carrying Nojiko on his shoulder, then ran into Vivi's room. Due to his sudden need for their attention, this seemed serious.

"What do you need?" Vivi asked.

"How does it feel... to be in love?"

Nojiko's and Vivi's eyes widened. This is surprising, coming from Luffy. Does this mean...? Both girls gasped.

"You love Nami?!" Vivi shouted unintentionally.

"SSSHH!" Luffy covered her mouth with both hands. He was worried some of the guys would overhear them and later make fun of him for it. There was a reason he wanted to talk to them in private. He waited for any of the guys to come bursting in and start the taunting. Thankfully, no one came in. Luffy eyed Vivi. Seeing how he reacted when she shouted, she nodded her head and agreed to keep quiet.

He slowly removed his hands. "I-I think so. But I'm not sure."

"My, my. Little Luffy's all grown up," Nojiko said as she rested her elbow on her thighs and leaned her head on her hand. The way she stared at him in awe was getting on his nerves. They're not exactly helping at the moment.

"You're not answering my question."

Nojiko chuckled. "Alright, alright." She leaned closer. "Where should I start? Hm, you'll start wanting to look perfect whenever you're meeting up with her. You have the need to not embarrass yourself in front of her. Just seeing her smile makes you melt. Her voice is like music to your ears. Your chest will start to hurt-"

Luffy shot up, then bowed at both of them. "Arigatou!" He darted out the room leaving both girls in confusion.

Vivi turned to Nojiko. "Do you feel like that whenever you're with Ace-san?"

Nojiko shrugged. "Most of the time."

"Hmm..." Vivi stood and walked towards her nightstand. She opened the drawer and searched inside. Nojiko yawned. Her slumber was rudely interrupted when Luffy came bursting in. Vivi pulled something out, then shut the drawer closed. Nojiko furrowed her brows. Vivi looked excited, yet terrifying. She was definitely up to something. When Vivi walked closer to her, Nojiko backed away out of fear.

"What's with that face?" Nojiko asked hesitantly.

Nami watched in amazement as Franky, Ace, and Zoro had a drinking contest. Franky was about ready to pass out after the eighth bottle. Ace and Zoro were at their twelfth bottle and are barely holding strong. She could've joined, and she would've won, but something in her mind told her not to. Franky passed out with his bottle still in hand. Ace slammed his empty twelfth bottle on the island as he wiped his mouth.

"Z-Zoro! When t-this is all~ over, y~ou're payin for my date!" Ace slurred with a mocking tone. The alcohol was definitely getting to him.

"You~ wish!" Zoro said with the same mocking tone.

"Oh! I wanna try!" Chopper raised his hand up with excitement.

"Sorry, kid. You're still only 15," said Sanji.

"SO? Zoro and Franky are 17!"

"Hai, hai. Here have some milk," Sanji passed a glass of milk to his youngest friend. Chopper grinned when he was handed a nearly filled glass of chocolate milk.

"Oooh! Arigatou!" Chopper took the offer and gulped down his drink. Sanji chuckled. He was still just a kid. There was no way in hell he could give any booze to him, especially if his grandmother were to ever find out about it. She'd kill all of them in an instant.

Zoro rested his head on his hand as he clenched his teeth. He was starting to get a headache from all this drinking. He never drank this much, and very soon he'll pass out. He and Ace always had bets like these and Ace has always won most of them. Now, it was his turn to shine. He raised his new bottle up, but only reached halfway. His hand wouldn't move. He couldn't take it anymore. Just when he was about to call it quits, Ace fell to the floor while clutching his bottle to his chest as if it were a teddy bear.

"Good job, marimo. You won this round," Sanji said.

Zoro sighed in satisfaction. His fell onto his arm on the table and slept soundly. Just then, Luffy came running down the stairs. He zoomed passed the crowd to where Nami was seated. Sanji glanced up from cleaning the table. He was caught by surprised when Luffy picked her up bridal style then ran back up the stairs.

"Oi! Treat her with more respe-" Sanji was cut short when he head a door slam. "Idiot."

"Luffy! What are you doing? You're-" Before Nami could say anything more, Luffy pressed his lips onto hers. Nami tried to pull away, but he was too strong. After much hardship, she gave up and just let him take over. Luffy pulled her closer and gently laid her down on the bed. With one hand behind her head, he pulled her in for a deeper kiss. After a while, he still hasn't pulled away. Nami could tell he felt needy and wouldn't stopped. She placed her hands on his shoulders and gently pushed him away. Both were breathing heavily. They stared into each other's eyes as they tried to catch their breaths. Luffy placed a hand on her cheek and caressed it. She leaned into his touch and closed her eyes. Luffy smiled. He kissed her cheek, then leaned down so he was right next to her ear.

"I love you," he whispered.

Nami opened her eyes and smiled. He said it first. She's always wondered which one of them would be the first to say it. She cupped his cheeks and pulled him in for another kiss. She then pulled away and caressed both his cheeks. "I love you too."

All of a sudden, they hear a crashing noise. Luffy stood up straight and looked out the balcony where the noise came from. He could see some leaves flying everywhere that came from a tree a small distance away Furthermore, a branch was missing.

"What was that?" Nami asked. Luffy walked out of the balcony and looked around. No one was outside and the broken branch was no where to be seen. He furrowed his brows as he looked around the front yard. The mansion was gated so no one should be inside unless it was one of the crew, and from what he remembered, almost everyone was in the kitchen. Luffy stepped back in, locked the doors, and closed the curtains.

"Probably just a monkey."

"Monkeys... here?" Nami chuckled.

Next, the door bursted open and in came Ace with a panicked expression. "Have you guys seen Nojiko?"

"No," Nami turned to Luffy. "Wasn't she with you?"

"Last time I saw her, she was with Vivi."

"Speaking of Vivi, I haven't seen her around either," Ace said. Luffy looked at his brother with furrowed brows. Vivi and Nojiko were the ones who gave him advice about 'love.' When he thought back to the steps he took before getting here, he remembered almost everyone being downstairs. Everyone was downstairs, except for Nojiko and Vivi. He looked at the door to the balcony and chuckled.

"What's so funny?" Ace questioned.

Luffy shook his head. "They're fine, I think. Though, I'd make sure I'd have a first aid kit ready if I were you."

"Why would I need-" Before he could finish, Luffy pushed him out the door and slammed the door closed. Luffy turned around and saw Nami smiling. He smirked.

"So, what were you saying before we were interrupted?" Nami teased.

"How boring can this day get?" Nami asked. She and Robin had their beach chairs out at the beach and were soaking in the heat. It was only noon yet both girls were bored and couldn't think of a way to cure that boredom.

"Ee, there's nothing to do but stare at the ocean," Robin said.

"NAMI! ROBIN!"

When the girls turned around in their seats, they see Vivi and Luffy racing one another to see who can get to them first. Unexpectedly, Luffy tripped from Vivi's foot being in the way and fell face first into the sand. With luck, Vivi reached them first, but couldn't get to say what she wanted to say because she kept panting.

"I... I... I need you to join my team!" Vivi managed to say.

"NO!" Luffy got up and ran over and stood behind Nami and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Nami's on my team!"

"Its a boys vs. girls game, Luffy! Nami isn't a guy!" Vivi protested.

"So? She's mine and I want her on my team!"

Vivi placed her hands on her hips. "Oh! So since Robin-san's with Mr. Bushido and Nojiko-san's with Ace-san, they can be on your team?"

"YES!" Luffy nodded.

Vivi folded her arms. "Then I'd be all alone on my team! It wouldn't even be a game!"

"That's good! It makes things funnier! Shishishi!" Luffy laughed.

"I don't want all ten of you coming after me!" Vivi whined.

"URUSAI!" Nami screamed. The two opponents shut their mouths and stared at Nami with wide eyes. "I'm taking Vivi's side, of course."

"But Nami~!" Luffy whined.

Nami glared. "Its a boys vs. girls match, Luffy. Having me, Nojiko, and Robin in your team wouldn't be fair. It still isn't fair with six vs. four."

"I'll be joining Vivi as well."

"Robin~!"

Ignoring her captain, Robin turned to Vivi and asked, "What are we doing anyway?"

"Paintball war. Last person standing on either team is the winner," Vivi explained.

"And winner gets..?" Nami cocked an eyebrow.

Vivi shrugged. "The boys agreed a ton of money."

Usopp stood with his back against the wall and pushed his goggles back into place on his nose. At least one side of him is safe. He felt defenseless even though he was armed and wore a safety vest. He looked up and realized the forest was right in front of him. One of the girls could be hiding behind one of the trees and ambush him. Usopp quickly scanned the area for a place where he can have an advantage. An idea popped into his mind when his eyes landed on the roof. Usopp smirked

"Hmm, we are definitely going to win this match."

He checked his surroundings again before running back toward the entrance of the mansion.

"Back down already!" Nojiko yelled as she came face-to-face with Zoro.

"No way! My share goes to all my sake. I ain't giving it up by backing down to you." Both of their guns were pointed at the other. Clearly, no one's backing down. If one person shoots, the other person will soon follow. The only way to dodge it is to be quick. The winner of this one-on-one is the one who's the fastest.

"You are such a pig."

"Like you don't drink sake day and night." Nojiko scowled. Both ran forth and aimed for one another.

Out of no where, both were shot from the side. Nojiko and Zoro fell onto the sand. Zoro growled and quickly got up to see who had shot him. At the patio, he could see Vivi and Chopper shooting endless paintballs at each other and missing with each shot. They were most likely hit with a stray shot.

Chopper fell after being hit. Vivi raised her arms in victory, but quickly ran in the house to hide. Zoro wiped away some of the paint that splashed onto his face. "We're out."

Nojiko sat back up and chuckled. "I still could've beaten you."

Zoro raised an eyebrow. "I think you hit your head. Even if you are a woman, I wouldn't back down."

"Encouraging words for someone who might've been hit by a woman."

Zoro bit his tongue as he thought about the paintball that hit him. It might've been from Vivi's gun or with a chance of luck, it might have been from Chopper. Either way, his team still outnumbered the girls. Since he and Nojiko were hit at the same time, it still didn't make a difference. With an advantage like that, they can still win. "Well, I still haven't lost yet."

"Neither have I," Nojiko stood up and dusted the sand off her jeans.

Zoro smirked. "You sure about that?"

"What are you talking about?" Nojiko said flatly as she crossed her arms.

"We still have him," said Zoro as he pointed his thumb towards the roof. Nojiko looked up. Her eyes widened as she realized what he was talking about. In position, laying on his stomach with his gun at the ready was Usopp.

"You've gotta be kidding me!"

Boys left: Luffy, Usopp, Sanji, Franky, Ace
