"Hey," Ronon said, but Jen didn't look up as he entered her office and sat on the edge of her desk. "How's Sheppard doing?"

"He's fine," Jen said, keeping her eyes on her paperwork. "He should be up and about in a few days."

"That's good," Ronon said.

"Yes," Jen agreed. "It is."

Ronon didn't move from her desk and Jen didn't bother to look up from her paperwork. They were at a standstill. Right where Jen wanted them to be.

"Something wrong?" Ronon finally asked.

Hit him hard, hit him fast, and then get out, she told herself. "You, um, you broke your promise."

"What?"

"You broke your promise," Jen said. "You promised that you would be better during the next crisis. That you wouldn't harass my doctors. But back on the Daedalus you were giving my doctors trouble. You wouldn't let them examine you. You broke your promise."

"So you're mad," Ronon said.

"In a manner of speaking," Jen said. "But I'm not. Speaking to you, that is."

"You're not speaking to me," Ronon repeated.

"No," Jen said with a shake of her head. She returned her full attention to her paperwork, determined to ignore Ronon Dex.

"You're serious," he said.

Jen continued to ignore him. Eyes on the paperwork. She couldn't look at him. No one had a right to look that good. But despite the severe disadvantages, Jen was determined to beat him out on this one. She would prevail.

"You are serious," Ronon mused. "Huh."

Finished with this pile, Jen gathered it up and took it over to the file cabinet. When she turned around, Ronon was standing right next to her, as close as he could get without actually touching her. Jen shrank back against the file cabinet and Ronon leaned closer to her.

"To bad you're not talking to me," Ronon rumbled. "Or else you could ask me to move."

Jen shook her head, not willing to give into him. Not yet.

"That's okay," Ronon said. "We don't need to talk."

He kissed her, gently at first, but it quickly became rough, hard and possessive. Jen leaned into it and kissed him back.
