"I cannot believe this! How do you have all this?" The excitement on Jasper's face was evident. He was in music heaven.

Edward shrugged. "It's my granddad's. He gave 'em to my dad when he passed."

"Dude, this is sick." Jasper was seconds away from bouncing as he sifted through the records. They were all so well maintained. He pulled out a random record: London Calling by The Clash. Perfect.

He adjusted the disk on the player and sighed in contentment when the music filled the air.

Edward chuckled. "I, uh, I think I'll give you two a moment alone." He turned on his heel and headed to the kitchen, pretending he didn't notice that Jasper was giving him the finger.

Jasper grabbed a handful of albums and settled in a bean bag. Scanning through the records, he decided that Edward's granddad had an excellent taste in music. It's a pity Edward didn't share the interest. Edward was more the sporty type, even though he was classically trained in piano.

"So, we do have a guest." A petite, dark-haired girl slipped into the room.

"You must be Alice," Jasper replied, staring at the record in his face. "Is this real?" He shook the album in front Alice's face.

She grinned. "Yes, it's real. Yes, it's one of the first produced." She pulled up a bean bag and sat next to him.

"This should be in a damn museum," Jasper whispered, his voice colored with awe.

Alice's twinkling giggle filled the room and Jasper grinned at his best friend's little sister. She might be off-limits, but that didn't mean he couldn't admire her. She was pretty and had a great taste in music. Jasper discovered this in the mere seven minutes he spent with her before Edward barged into the room with a scowl on his face. Jasper had cringed and stepped away from Alice, but he wished he didn't as he saw the hurt on Alice's face. He should've stood up for her. Instead he cowered, leaving Alice to defend herself.

Thankfully, Alice understood. After all, she grew up with Edward. She was well aware on his over-protective and slightly violent tendencies, but she always know that her brother had a heart of gold. So, she waited for Jasper to find his love for her and for Edward to get used to sharing her before she asked Jasper to the high school prom.

The night was perfect as Edward finally asked Bella Swan for a dance and Alice had her first kiss with Jasper Whitlock while slow-dancing to "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston.
