Elizabeth's POV
Mr. Gold and I slept in the next morning because the two of us didn't need to work because today in town everyone would be celebrating the "Miners Festival." When I woke I noticed Mr. Gold wasn't next to me and caught the scent of pancakes. After making my bed I walked into the kitchen to find my boyfriend cleaning up from making the pancakes.
"Morning love" the pawnbroker greeted as he finished putting the dishes away in the dishwasher.
"Same to you oh good you made coffee" my other half smirked as he placed two cups in front of our plates before he sat down at the island next to me on a stool. He was still dressed in his sleepwear.
"This is really good" I complimented my boyfriend after the taking the first bite of a pancake.
"I aim to please by the way dear while you were asleep you missed a phone call from Bella" that got me to stop sipping my coffee.
"I'll call her after breakfast so what do you have going today since you don't have to work?" I inquired at the pawnbroker with a smirk.
"Frankly dearie I have some business to do" he replied to me. I knew what his business was; it was to collect rent from the properties he owned in town.
"Can you come back tonight I like having you here" my question got Mr. Gold to chuckle before he caressed my left cheek with a hand.
"If I keep staying here dearie it would make us seem like a married couple now would it?" I blushed at his comment.
Enchanted Forest
"How you're curls are worse than mine I have no idea" Belle joked as she finished brushing her sister's hair. It was early summer in the Enchanted Forest and it was also dark. Tonight Zila would become the Dark One's wife. The two sisters were in the dining room of the Dark Castle, waiting for Athena to come and take them to where Rumplestiltskin waited for his bride along with Gabriel as his best man. It took awhile for the two men to tolerate one another, but eventually they grew to enjoy each other's company.
"Bloody hell now I understand how you felt the day you married Gabriel" Zila said as she tried to calm her nerves. The alpha werewolf's wedding dress was made out of silk, the straps stopped a little below the shoulders. Zila's hair was loose and would have white roses pinned into it in the place of a veil, a small train flowed gracefully behind the dress. Around her neck was the sword pendant she treasured most.
"Are you two ready?" came Athena's voice which got Belle to jump. Athena looked breath taking in her strapless dark red dress; it even had a train flowing behind it. Belle chose to wear the golden dress that Zila liked on her.
"We are" Zila said as she slid the silver flats onto her feat. Belle held out a hand towards her sister which Zila took.
"One thing is missing" Athena added before she used her magic to conjure a small bouquet of white roses, which were Zila's favorite color of her favorite flower.
"Now you look the part" Athena said smiling before she and the two she-wolves were transported out of the dining room in a cloud of purple smoke.
Storybrooke
The reason Bella called was because while she and Carlyle were hunting they found an empty car just outside of town. The car turned out to belong to Kathryn Nolan, one due to because of the registration and two by her scent. Bella and I now sat in Granny's it was close to lunch time so I would treat as a little celebration gift due to Bella's pregnancy. Belle today was wearing a pretty long sleeved white shirt with a cute black skirt, she had hose underneath so her legs wouldn't get cold, on her feet were dark brown boots. I chose to wear a simple navy blue long sleeved shirt with jeans and boots; I of course had my black leather jacket on too.
"Where do you think she went?" I inquired at my best friend as I took a blissful bite of my barbecue sandwich.
"I have no idea how can you eat that?" she nodded toward the sandwich.
I snorted at her question I had read some certain smells stood out more than others while being pregnant which was the case her. And speaking of scents I caught Mary Margaret's as she entered the diner. Everyone was quiet when she cleared her throat; they all sent her evil looks.
"I'm sorry to interrupt everyone's late morning meal but I just wanted to remind everyone that a very special occasion is today "Miner's Day", as always the nuns of Storybrooke are hoping that everyone will get involved and will help sell their exquisite candles as always volunteers are needed"
"Are people still calling her names?" Bella whispered as I turned back around to face her.
"Yes and if they don't stop I'm going to lose it" I growled as I finished devouring my lunch. It was a good thing I was done with lunch because I already felt the need to snap at someone, Ruby must have sensed my desire to pay the tab because she hurried over to me.
"So will I see you on the square later?" I asked Bella as I stood up to leave.
"Possibly go on and cool down" my god-sister joked. I kissed her head before heading towards the exit. As I approached Mary Margaret I heard a few more rude words coming from a booth nearby, I sent the group of men a death glare which got them to shut up. I put a comforting hand on Mary's shoulder which earned me a thank you smile from her, before I left the diner to calm down my anger.
Enchanted Forest
"Rumple will you quit bloody pacing and relax" Athena told the Dark One. Rumple was wearing the blue poet shirt and black vest combo since Zila liked it so much on him.
"I can't help it dearie I haven't been married in almost over 300 years" he replied to his friend. Gabriel stood by waiting patiently, the male beta werewolf was dressed handsomely in all black, which did look good on him. Athena rolled her golden eyes and muttered a relaxation spell to help him calm down. Rumplestiltskin immediately felt the effects of the spell working.
"Thanks" Rumple told the red head who smirked at him.
"They're coming" Gabriel suddenly spoke; the beta werewolf came to Rumple's side. Athena then uttered another spell which caused beautiful fire orbs to float in the night air.
Storybrooke
A small crowd was watching as I focused on the target in front of me. I was in town's square enjoying myself so I could cool off and it was working. One of the activities to do was Archery, however only those eighteen and older could participate. Carlyle and Bella watched as I released the arrow and it went flying hitting dead on in the bull's eye.
"We got our own Katniss Everdeen everyone!" Carlyle joked as I put returned the bow and arrows back to its booth. I looked amongst the prizes and a black western dragon figurine tending to its young caught my eye, once it was wrapped up I turned to Bella and Carlyle.
"You really should consider joining an archery club" Carlyle suggested. I snorted at his comment before I parted ways with my beta's letting them have time alone as a couple. As I headed towards my car to put away my figurine a thought to came to my head. Since I had nothing else better to do, I drove over to where the nuns were organizing their candle sale.
"Hey Mary" I greeted the schoolteacher as she was finishing talking with none other than Leroy the town trouble maker and drunk.
"Elizabeth what are you doing here?" Leroy inquired.
"Uh to help Einstein" I replied back to him in a smart alec tone as I took the clip board from Mary and signed myself up.
"How are you feeling?" I asked Mary as I noticed Leroy had walked over to a nearby Nun, who obviously did something really bad.
"I'm coping I'm sure you heard David and I are no longer seeing each other thanks to his lying" Mary answered me.
"No I didn't I'm sorry to hear that" Mary looked up at me.
"How is your relationship with Mr. Gold going?"
Her question got my face to turn red, Mary suddenly laughed.
"I'm only teasing Liz; let's go sell some candles huh?"
Enchanted Forest
Rumplestiltskin eyes widened as Zila emerged from the darkness with both Belle and Maurice both escorting her. Athena chuckled at how her friend couldn't keep his eyes off his bride, as she came closer. When Zila was finally near enough to Rumple, Belle released her arm from around Zila's pressed a kiss onto her sister's forehead as she headed over to join her husband, Maurice then walked Zila over to Rumple and the Dark One held his left hand out towards Zila, who took it. Maurice then did the same thing Belle did before he joined his other daughter next. Like any other wedding Athena had witnessed she began the small ceremony with the usual opening statements. As the couple held each other's hand Athena began.
"Rumplestiltskin do you take Zila Roza Night to be your wife, her mate, and vow to protect her and be by her side when she needs you the most?"
"Yes" was all Rumple could say he wasn't good with words.
"Zila will you take Rumplestiltskin as your husband and your mate, do you promise to love him, protect him, and be by his side when he needs it?"
"Damn right" laughter filled the night air as everyone found Zila's answer funny, Rumple even giggled at that. The ring exchange was then next, as were the vows. Rumple conjured a beautifully made silver rose designed wedding band and as he removed her engagement ring he said to his beloved.
"Zila, when I first laid eyes on you I knew you were different than most women which was why I chose you at the time you're family was in trouble, over time you're sense of humor and kindness eventually lowered my walls, you always saw past the side of me other people feared and you accepted the power I have not caring if I wielded it or not, why you continue to stay by my side I will never know, I love you"
Zila allowed the tears from his vows slide down her face as he finished putting her rings back on. Athena then handed ZIla a simple golden wedding band, and took Rumple's left hand.
"Rumplestiltskin, the moment I met you I wasn't afraid, on the battlefield I have faced many things and you are nothing compared to the horrors I have seen, upon learning what I was you only saw beauty within the beast, you accepted me for who I was, was more than enough for me to know I love you, and I will continue to love you along with the dark magic you possess because frankly I find the magic very bad ass" Rumple laughed as she finished putting his wedding band on.
"I'm pleased to call you two husband and wife, Rumple you know the drill" Athena said.
But it was Zila who responded; she grabbed Rumple by the top of his black vest and brought the Dark One into a passionate kiss sealing their fate as husband and wife.
Storybrooke
I decided to go on my own to sell some of the candles while Leroy and Mary would go around town together to sell theirs. I was successful with selling with all of the boxes I had, and hopefully Mary and Leroy did too. However when I came back to the elementary school were the nuns were organizing I noticed that Mary and Leroy didn't have the luck I did.
"Oh my god" Mary said as I handed her the money I collected from selling the candles I had.
"No luck huh?" I asked her, I noticed Leroy was talking to that nun from earlier, and heard him say he sold all of the candles which was bull-shit. Mary and I widened our eyes at his lie. I walked over to the town drunk and grabbed his coat dragging him.
"What the hell was that Leroy?!" I hissed at him. Mary added after me.
"How could you tell Astrid that we sold all those candles, that's 5,000 dollars Leroy, 5,000 dollars we don't have"
"Don't worry about it alright you two I got a plan"
"What plan?" I growled.
"A plan like going door to door and having everyone in town laugh in our faces?" Mary said after me.
"Just give me till the end of the day, I'll figure something out" Leroy growled back.
"Why is this so important to you anyway?" I asked curious why he was in this whole shebang to begin with. Leroy looked to the nun he was talking to earlier; she noticed he was looking and she smiled, then it hit me.
"Oh my god you like her!" I whispered.
"She's a nun Leroy could you possibly pick anyone less available!" Mary chimed quietly in after me.
"Says the girls who went after a married guy and the other who's dating the landlord!"
"Hey leave me boyfriend out of this" I hissed defending Mr. Gold.
"Whatever, at the end of day Mary Margaret you're no better than I am, you got your reasons for being here and I got mine, and when I say I'm gonna get five grand I'm gonna get it"
Enchanted Forest
Zila had to stop for the night after traveling all day from Rumplestiltskin's castle. At the moment she was in the local tavern in the town she was staying the night in, as she was drinking a beer a group of dwarves came in to celebrate whatever and were having a good time until she noticed one was sitting not having fun with the others. Another dwarf probably the leader was conversing with the sad looking one; the she-wolf recognized the dwarf was in love.
"It's not in his head, it's in his heart" Zila said finally getting the two dwarves to look at her. The dwarf leader scoffed and said.
"That's impossible dwarves can't fall in love" Zila gave the dwarf leader a glare which got him to shut up before she looked back to the dwarf who was in love.
"Trust me, I know love and you my friend are in it"
"What's it like?" the dwarf inquired at her turning around, Zila smiled and replied.
"It's the most wonderful and amazing thing in the world, love is hope, it fuels our dreams and if you're in it, you need to enjoy it because love doesn't always last forever"
"But if love's so great, then why do I feel so bad right now?"
"You need to be with the person you love"
"Yeah, but how I do know she feels the same way? All she talks about was going to see some fireflies, not loving me" Zila gave the dwarf a look.
"What did she tell you about these fireflies?"
"Uh, that she was gonna see them on the hilltop tonight, that she heard they were the most beautiful sight to see in all of the land" Zila laughed which got the dwarf to look at her confusion.
"What?"
"She wasn't telling you about the fireflies, she was inviting you to go be with her" the dwarf then smiled.
"You think so?" Zila nodded.
"Yes, now go, find your love, find your hope, find your dreams pack mate"
Storybrooke
Night had fallen in town and I was managing the booth in the square. I managed to sell some more candles but still not enough so the nuns could make their rent on time.
"What the f**k!" I exclaimed as the lights suddenly went off. And I mean all of the lights in the square went out. People then began to hurry to the booth desperate for light, thankfully Leroy and Mary Margaret arrived a second later to help. A bunch of people were lined up for the candles, and we were on a roll.
"Leroy, Liz, we sold out" Mary said smiling to us. Leroy burst out laughing and he grabbed the three of us in a group hug.
Later
After we sold all the candles and cleaned up the booth I headed home for the night, I was glad the festival took place on a Friday night because I didn't have to work this weekend. I was now at home dressed in my usual night wear watching a creepy movie; Mr. Gold didn't show up yet. The movie was about some kind of unknown creature that had been locked up, and was accidently let loose, and it was killing people. The movie was so freaking scary I was on the edge of my seat, one of the main characters a female was alone in an alley while the beast was watching her, as the creature snuck on her the doorbell rang and I screamed.
"Son of a bitch" I growled at how embarrassed I was for getting spooked by my damn doorbell, I put the television on mute and walked to the door.
"I take it you must be watching something scary dearie" Mr. Gold said as he limped inside carrying an overnight bag with him. As I shut the door and locked it, my boyfriend gave me a much needed kiss to calm down my nerves.
"I was, it's actually pretty good I have TiVo on pause wanna join me?" I inquired following him into my bedroom.
"In a few minutes just let me get out of these clothes" he replied, I nodded and left my room so he could have some privacy. He then joined me on the couch dressed in all black with a brown robe over him. I put the movie back on and the two of us continued to watch the movie. Through the rest of the film I kept putting my head into my boyfriend's shoulder so I couldn't look at the scary parts. At one part Mr. Gold even jumped when the creature leapt out of nowhere to kill another character this time the boyfriend of the female character from earlier.
"I have to admit that was pretty scary" Mr. Gold said as I turned the t.v. off once the movie was over.
"Indeed it was I just hope to god I don't have nightmares tonight" Mr. Gold suddenly turned to me and pressed another one of his breath taking kisses against my mouth.
"Hopefully that kiss will help lower the chances of nightmares love" the pawnbroker told me after the quick lip lock. I was still speechless from the kiss; my boyfriend smirked and brought me into his lap so he could continue to lower my chances of nightmares for the night.
Hades: Man I wouldn't want to one of Gold's tenants if I missed out on rent.
Me: Me either!
