Lilly: Well, it's been a little while, hasn't it? Finally got this chapter to come together well and we really hope you all enjoy it! We all feel it came out well, but we're not the readers, so it's up to you what you think about it!

Later on in the evening after the sun began to set, everybody was crowded into Reba's den for their little sleepover. Well, it was technically her parents' den, but they let her use it for the night while they went out with some friends, so it was alright. Kate and Humphrey were the first ones there, quickly embracing each other after being apart the entire afternoon after their terrifying talk with her parents. Humphrey had said they should keep their distance for a little while around her parents, so he went off with Mooch and Shakey for a while and Kate was with Janice.
Lilly and Cody went back to his house for a little while and she told him her parents found out about them as well. He was worried they were upset with him, but Lilly told him they weren't after their talk with Kate. They just spent the afternoon laying on the couch together and watching a couple movies, which she really enjoyed! And of course, they snuck in some kissing and cuddling between movies, but nothing too intimate. He was still a bit worried about her parents still getting angry with him, after all. After a few hours of their bit of fun, they headed back to the pack territory and to Reba's den.
They'd all been there for about an hour now, talking and laughing amongst each other as the sun fell down below the mountain peaks. Salty was trying to act cool, but on the inside, he was practically shaking from being so nervous. Janice was there like Kate said she would be and they all knew he REALLY liked her! Being in the same den with her, let alone how small it was and how close everybody was together, was getting him really jumpy. She'd catch him eyeing her once in a while and would giggle, causing him to blush cherry red and nearly faint it seemed.
"So, what do you guys wanna do for fun? Just laying around and talking all night isn't what a sleepover is all about…." Reba giggled, looking around at everyone. Nobody was coming up with anything that sounded good at the time until Lilly suddenly smiled and said "I got it! Quick, someone find a bone…." They all looked around and Reba soon dug one up out of the ground, handing it to Lilly who said "Okay, now we just need something to color one end a little…." Cody chuckled and sat up, pulling a pocket knife out of his pocket and saying "I got it. Let me see…." Lilly handed it to him and he set it down on the ground before quickly making a cut on his thumb, causing everyone to gasp.
"Cody, what're you doing!?" Lilly asked worryingly, watching blood start to trickle from the cut. He smiled and started smearing it onto one end of the bone, staining it red as he said "Coloring it like you said…." Kate smiled too and said "Good way to improvise, but still a rather dumb idea…." He chuckled again and soon handed the bone back to Reba, saying "Here you go, one colored bone!" She smiled at him and said "Thank you! Are you okay there?"
He nodded and put his thumb against his pants leg, saying "Yep, it'll be fine." Lilly moved over to him a little more and said "Let me see it, babe…." He held his hand up for her and she started licking the cut, the blood soon stopping after a couple minutes. She smiled and said "There, now we don't need to worry about it." He smiled too and kissed her, saying "Thanks, Lilly. It would've been fine anyway, honestly…." She giggled and kissed him back, saying "Oh well, get used to it."
Reba giggled as they broke apart and said "Alright, lovebirds….Here's the game…." She laid the bone down in front of them all arranged in a circle and gave it a spin, saying "….It's called Truth Or Dare. Anyone else played before?" Everyone said they had except Salty, so Reba said "Okay then, it's rather simple. Whoever the colored end is pointing at has to TRUTHFULLY answer their question, or do whatever they say, regardless of what it is. If you obviously lie or refuse to do the dare, there's a punishment of something ridiculing….Then afterwards, they spin the bone and on and on….Rather easy, really." Salty nodded and then Janice asked "Who goes first?" Reba smiled and said "Well, since you asked, you can."
"Okay!" Janice excitedly said, spinning the bone. It went around a few times before finally stopping at Kate, who smiled and said "Gimme anything you got….Make it a truth." Janice giggled and said "Alright, here's an easy one….Did you and Humphrey actually mate?" They both nodded and Kate said "We sure did. Best experience of my life!" Janice nodded and then Kate spun the bone, landing on Humphrey next to her. He chuckled and said "Oh god, what's this gonna be…." She giggled and asked "Truth or dare, my lover boy?"
"Dare. Wait….Actually, yeah, dare." He said, second guessing himself. She smiled and said "Okay. Gimme a kiss…." He smiled too and said "That's it? Just a kiss?" She nodded and slyly said "For now…." He chuckled again and kissed her passionately, causing her to let out a soft purr and moan. Everyone giggled at the sight until they broke apart a few moments later, Humphrey asking "Did that satisfy you?" She giggled and nodded, saying "Quite! Your turn!"
The bone landed on Reba this time and she said "Truth!" He smiled and said "Okay then….Who are you in love with?" She visibly blushed under her fur, but kept cool and calmly said "I've got a big crush on Shakey….He's so….different! But in a good way!" Humphrey chuckled and said "I'll remember to tell him…." Her eyes went wide and she nearly yelled "No, don't tell him! I wouldn't be able to look at him the same anymore….I'd really love it if he asked me to the Moonlight Howl, though!" Humphrey nodded and said "When it comes around again, I'll nudge him to do so. He gets really nervous whenever you're around, you know." She stifled a giggle and blushed a little more, spinning the bone and it landed on Salty.
"Crap…." He mumbled under his breath, knowing exactly where it was gonna go. Reba smiled at him and said "Do I even need to ask?" He shook his head and said "Nope….Do it…." She giggled again and said "Alright then….I dare you to kiss whoever you like, be it here or anywhere else!" He nodded and let out a shakey sigh, getting up and going over to Janice, who was completely shocked! "I've been wanting to do this for a long time…." He said, smiling at her before giving her a long peck on the cheek. She blushed cherry red and slowly smiled, saying "Have you now? Well….I've been waiting for it for a long time, too…."
"Mind if I lay here?" He asked, gesturing to the ground next to her. She giggled a little and said "Not at all…." He laid down next to her and she shifted against him a little, causing them both to blush a bit. "Your turn, Janice…." Lilly said, giggling as well. Janice nodded and spun the bone, which landed on Lilly this time. "Hmm….Probably shouldn't have said that….Make it truth." Lilly said, regretting speaking up now. Janice smiled and said "You won't regret it, trust me….Have you and Cody….mated yet?" Lilly blushed under her fur, but not a lot since she was expecting it. Cody blushed a lot more, though.
"No, we haven't gone that far yet. We have gone as far as pleasuring each other, though!" Lilly said, giggling a bit as she looked up at Cody, who chuckled a little and blushed more. Everyone giggled as Reba said "Hey, nobody's judging! If that's what you guys wanna do, then who are we to say otherwise?" Lilly smiled and Cody said "Well, thanks! It IS a bit awkward talking about that, though…." Reba giggled too and said "I know, that's what makes the game fun!"
A couple hours of embarrassing, ridiculous and dorky antics passed, the night sky completely dark aside from the stars everywhere. Everybody was starting to get tired and Lilly suddenly yawned and stretched, saying "I'm gonna go get some water. I'll be right back." They all nodded and she walked out toward the small creek running nearby Reba's den. Cody got up and went out with her, the two of them walking to the water. "Thirsty, too?" Lilly asked, smiling up at him. He nodded and said "Kinda. Was that all as embarrassing for you as it was me?"
She giggled and said "No, not really. I mean, we're all really close friends, so it's not really shocking they'd start getting into that kinda stuff." He smiled and said "Well, true, but….it was just kinda awkward." She nodded and said "I know, it's alright. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some sleep….I'm exhausted…." He chuckled to himself as they got to the water, both of them getting a drink when they heard someone else coming their way.
They looked back to see Humphrey and Salty coming over to the water as well, Salty saying "Hey, you two. Mind if we get some, too?" Cody smiled and said "Nah, get your own spot…." Lilly gasped and smacked his shoulder, saying "Cody, really!? Of course you guys can…." Cody chuckled and said "I was only joking, babe…." She sighed and rolled her eyes as Humphrey and Salty walked up and got a drink of water as well. "So, Salty….You and Janice together?" Cody asked, causing Salty to spit the water out of his mouth.
"Are you kidding me!? I only just found out she likes me, too! What, did you expect us to be all kissy cuddly tonight?" Salty asked, staring at him. "Hey, calm down, I was only teasing….Gotta admit though, you two WOULD make a good couple." Cody said, making Salty smile a little now as he said "Well, thanks….Sorry for snapping at you….I think we'll just keep tonight in our minds for now and see what happens starting tomorrow. I'll ask her on a little date, I guess." Lilly smiled too and said "That's a nice idea! Any idea in mind for that?"
Back at the den, Reba, Kate and Janice were still laying inside, giggling amongst themselves about the boys. "Oh, come on….Salty is too hot! Just because he's not as muscular as Humphrey doesn't mean he's any less attractive, you know. You have no idea how many times I've drooled seeing him at the Howl…." Janice said, blushing a little as they all giggled. "But, Humphrey's got such a dreamy howl….You can't imagine how it made me melt when we howled together…." Kate said with a happy sigh as she thought back to the last Moonlight Howl. "Hey, Shakey's pretty good, too! I heard him with another girl last time, but she was horrible!" Reba said, blushing a bit under her fur.
"Oh yeah, Rebecca….Someone needs to give her some lessons!" Kate said and the other girls nodding in agreement right as everyone else came back in. Humphrey laid down next to Kate and kissed her cheek, making her giggled a little as he asked "Everything good here?" They all nodded and Reba said "Yeah, everything's great! I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting tired…." Cody looked at his watch and said "Yeah, it's a little before midnight now. I'm not feeling that tired yet though, myself." Lilly giggled and said "Me either!"
"Nice to know, but nobody's gettin' it on in my parents' den! I don't care how you're feeling…." Reba giggled, causing Lilly to blush a little as she said "Oh, shut up….We weren't gonna do that. Now cuddling's a different story…." Reba rolled her eyes and looked over at Janice laying down against the side of the den and asked "Janice, you okay?" She smiled and said "I'm fine, just getting comfortable."
A couple hours passed and soon pretty much everyone was asleep, aside from two; Salty and Janice. He couldn't sleep at all because he had so many things on his mind, mainly Janice, who was in the same situation. After giving up again at falling asleep, he opened his eyes to see her shifting around a little like she couldn't get comfortable enough. He watched her eventually settle down and heard her let out a stressed sounding sigh, making him wonder if she was okay. He took a breath and got up, quietly walking over to her and gently tapped her shoulder. She looked up at him and immediately blushed a little, quietly said "Oh, Salty! Something wrong?" He smiled a little and asked "Would it be okay if I lay here with you?"
She blushed much more, but smiled too, saying "Yes, it'd be more than okay!" He smiled more and laid down next to her, inching closer a little, but leaving a gap between them. Janice softly giggled a bit and said "Salty, you don't need to try and stay away from me….I'm not gonna bite…." He shakily nodded and moved a little closer, their sides now touching. She felt a shiver go up her spine and could barely hold back a soft purr as she said "See? Besides, you make a good heater…." He chuckled a bit as she giggled, laying her head down on her paws and closing her eyes with a happy sigh.
"God, I want to tell her so badly….But, what if she doesn't feel the same way?" He asked himself, his mind going a mile a minute trying to think of something to say to her. "Hey, stupid! Remember what she said when you kissed her?! If she says something like that, then I seriously doubt she'd feel any different than you do right now." Another voice in his head said, almost resembling Humphrey a little. He looked over at Humphrey, but he was sound asleep, he and Kate spooning. He looked back at Janice and she looked to be asleep now, but he couldn't wait any longer.
He took a nervous breath and gently nudged her shoulder, asking "Janice, are you asleep?" Her eyes fluttered open a little and she quietly said "No, not yet. Something wrong?" He shook his head and said "No, nothing's wrong….I just….I need to get something off my chest….It's been bugging me for a while now." She lifted her head and asked "But, you just said nothing's wrong?" He nodded and said "I know, but this isn't really….a problem. More like….something that's been kept inside for too long." She turned a little to face him more and laid her paw on his, saying "Salty, what's wrong? You can tell me, honest." He nervously smiled and took a breath, quickly sighing "I love you…."
Her heart rate quickly jumped as his words processed through her mind, soon realizing what he'd really just said. "You….You love me?" She asked, nearly squeaking. He nodded and said "I have for a long time….I've just been too scared to say it….Or even ask you to the Howl." A smile slowly crept across her face as she said "Salty….I didn't know you felt that way about me…." He smiled too and said "Remember I said I've been wanting to kiss you for a long time?" She nodded and said "Yeah, but….I didn't think you meant it in that way." His smile quickly disappeared as he asked "Do you….feel the same way?"
She giggled a bit and nodded, slowly kissing his cheek and she said "If I said I didn't, I'd be lying through my teeth….Not to mention I know it would break your heart….I love you too, Salty…." He smiled again and stammered "Y-You do!? Really!?" She giggled more and said "Of course I do, dummy! You're like the only guy that I can really relate to and get along with. Most of the others are just total jerks….Not all, though. At the last Moonlight Howl, when I saw you ask Rebecca to howl with you, I nearly broke down crying….I've always wanted to be the one sitting with you and howling. I was too scared as well to say anything, though…."
"Well, in that case….Would you go to the next Howl with me?" He asked, a smile on his face again. She giggled and nodded, saying "Of course I will! All you had to do was ask…." He chuckled a little and leaned a little closer, hesitantly touching her nose with his in case she pulled away. She didn't, though….Instead, she giggled more and locked her lips onto his, surprising him. After realizing what she did, he smiled more and returned it, making her purr a little. He put his forelegs around her and they laid on their sides together, cuddling close to each other and kissing each other even more passionately.
Over at Eve and Winston's den, he was sitting outside and looking up at the sky, panting a little. He started to hear light footsteps coming out with him and smiled to himself, knowing it was Eve. Sure enough, she rubbed her side against his as she said "You haven't lost that magic touch yet, that's for sure…." He turned his head and kissed her cheek, causing her to softly moan a little as she laid her head against his neck. "I guess I've just learned everything you love….And everywhere!" He said, chuckling a little and he nuzzled her. She giggled a bit and said "No kidding! We haven't gone like that since….Well, since before Kate and Lilly were born, that's for sure. And it's not even mating season yet!"
"I know, but the wonderful scent you give off then is the only thing about you that turns me on…." He said, rubbing his tail over her rear. She let out a soft purr and said "Oh yeah? What else does, then?" She lifted her head and smiled at him as he said "Where to begin….I guess with your stunning beauty for starters!" She giggled again and kissed him, saying "Oh, stop….Gray hair isn't beautiful…." He chuckled and said "Where do you see gray on yourself?"
"I don't know, why don't you try and find some? I'm sure there's a couple somewhere…." She said, lovingly licking his cheek. He smiled and she got up, walking back into the den and waving her butt at him as she walked into the darkness. "I'll be there in just a few minutes, hun. I've gotta get some water." He heard her let out a soft moan as she said "Don't take too long….I'm starting without you…." He chuckled to himself and got up, walking down the slope to go get some water when she let out a louder and longer moan and he knew what she was doing already.
