The Adventure Of Naruto And Sasuke Announcement And Update (7-18-2014).

Hey everyone. This is Aerisuke here, again, and I know it's been three months since I uploaded the last chapter (Chapter 9) and four months since I made an announcement (which was on March 17, 2014) of "The Adventure Of Naruto And Sasuke." Just to let you know, no I am not giving up on this story, It WILL happen, I swear. I will upload new chapters of the fanfic soon, I promise. Let's just say that I've been kind of taking a break from this story and had to work on some other fanfics and I'm still working on Chapter 10 (just, very slowly) of this story. Anyway, there's been a lot of things going on in my mind, and I thought I might as well tell you about it along with the announcement (no, I'm not telling you what's been going in my personal life). Now, I'm not sure if anybody remembers this fanfic, but I did a "Naruto" fanfic where Naruto and his friends were given an assignment to write a report about William Wallace from "Braveheart" (the one directed, produced by and starring Mel Gibson). It was called "B Stands For Braveheart" and I wrote that back in 2010. I never finished the fanfic because I kind of lost interest in it. (*SPOILERS FOR "BRAVEHEART"*) Well, recently, I've been kind of in a "Braveheart" (which is my all-time favorite movie and always has been since childhood) mood lately, and after I watched the film again, I've been reading some "Braveheart" fanfics on FFN and it kind of inspired me to write my own "Braveheart" fanfic. I didn't even know there were fanfics of this movie, but then I thought, "Well, fan fiction is really popular these days." However, this "Braveheart" fanfic is going to be a crossover with "Naruto." No, it's not "B Stands For Braveheart" but it's a completely different "Braveheart" and "Naruto" crossover. The fanfic is going to be called "Freedom," and it's not only just because of William Wallace saying "FREEDOM!" It's also going to be called "Freedom" because one of the Naruto Shippuden endings (Ending 17) is called "Freedom." Before I tell you what the fanfic is about, let me tell you a little bit about the movie. Oh yeah, again, (*SPOILERS FOR "BRAVEHEART"*). The story is actually about the real-life Scottish warrior named William Wallace who (along with his people) go up against the English and Longshanks (a.k.a. King Edward I) as they fight for freedom. I'm not going to tell you the rest of the story because that would be spoiling and you'd have to watch it for yourselves. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Aerisuke, why would you want to write a "Braveheart" fanfic? It's so historically inaccurate." Yes. I was pretty shocked that my favorite movie of all time was historically inaccurate. For example, the real William Wallace never met or fell in love with Princess Isabella (her name is "Isabelle" in the film) of France because I heard she was about nine or ten years old when he was executed. A part of me thinks that the people who worked on the movie "Braveheart" wanted to have a love story with Princess Isabelle and William Wallace in order to keep the story interesting. Don't get me wrong. I love the romantic relationship between them. But anyway, after watching the movie again, I've done a little bit of some research of William Wallace's life, as in I watched documentaries about him, which were all very interesting, and I learned a little bit about Scotland and England. Surprisingly, my step-grandfather (who died in November of 2003) was born in England, but raised in Ireland, and I guess you could say both he and the movie "Braveheart" introduced me into Celtic music. Anyway, back on topic. As I was reading a few "Braveheart" fanfics, I was kind of thinking of writing my own crossover fanfic with the movie because I've written a lot of "Naruto" "Legend Of Zelda" and "Final Fantasy" fanfics, but I've never written a "Braveheart" fanfic before. At first, it was going to be a "Braveheart/Naruto" fanfic, and the story would be about how Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Yamato, Kakashi, Hinata, Kiba, Shino, Kurenai, Lee, Neji, Tenten, Guy, Choji, Ino, Shikamaru and Asuma are all sent on a mission to help William Wallace fight for freedom as he and his fellow Scotsman go up against Longshanks, which would also create a deep friendship between Naruto and William. Then I thought, "Wait. Naruto and his friends (excluding William and the Scotsman) are all ninjas. How would they even fit in with all the "Braveheart" characters?" Then, I was going to do a "Braveheart/Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" fanfic where Link, Zelda, William and Murron are all childhood friends and like in the movie, William marries Murron until she gets killed by a soldier who tried to rape her, but she refused his sexual advances and thus ended up getting killed because of the "Prima Nocte" law where a woman ended up being taken by a nobleman and would have sex with her on her wedding night. Link and Zelda would think of William and Murron as their siblings and Link and Zelda would fight alongside William and the Scottish to go up against the English. Then, I was going to do a "Braveheart/Final Fantasy X & X-2" fanfic where after William would become the guardian of Scotland, he would also end up being the guardian of Yuna and would join her (along with her other guardians Tidus, Wakka, Lulu, Rikku, Kimahri and Auron) on her pilgrimage to defeat Sin. However, unlike the ending to Final Fantasy X where (*SPOILER*) Tidus becomes a dream and ends up disappearing leaving a heartbroken Yuna as she watches him go to the Farplane, Tidus does not fade, and William is called back to his world to go off to Falkirk with his army to fight the English leaving Yuna in Spira with her friends as she anxiously awaits William's return. However, a big rumor in Spira comes up saying William is believed to have died in the battle at Falkirk. Yuna (who was torn between her love for Tidus and her love for William) mourns the loss of William's "death" and marries Tidus. Obviously we know that William did not die at the battle at Falkirk in "Braveheart." Although Yuna thinks that William (who has a love affair with Princess Isabelle) is dead, she somehow believes that he is still alive. The "Final Fantasy X/X-2" story would end with Yuna, Tidus, Rikku (Yuna's cousin) and their friend Paine visiting William before his execution. After his death, Yuna would give birth to Tidus' son, William, who Yuna names in honor and in memory of William Wallace (Zelda would also name her son "William" in my "Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" and "Braveheart" fanfic). At that point, I had a tough problem figuring out what would make a good crossover with "Braveheart" between "Naruto," "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time," and "Final Fantasy X/X-2." However, one month ago, I bought a video game from Nintendo called "Tomodachi Life" (it came on June 6, and I got it on June 9), which is sort of similar to "The Sims" series, and surprisingly, my William Wallace ("Braveheart") and Sakura Haruno ("Naruto") Miis ended up falling in love, got married and now they have two kids: a daughter named Murron (who I named after William's wife from "Braveheart"), and a son named Sora (who I named after Sora from the "Kingdom Hearts" video game series), and then it hit me. The fanfic is going to have William and Sakura as the main pairing (with a little bit of William & Murron and William & Princess Isabelle added in there). In fact, here's the summary for the story:

"After Sasuke left and betrayed Konoha, I told myself that I would never fall in love with anyone again. That is, until I met... him... William Wallace, a man who changed my life forever. A man who was Scotland's greatest hero who believed in freedom, and one who I fell in love with until the day he died. My name is Sakura Haruno. This is not only my story, but it's also the story... of William Wallace also known as "Braveheart."" ~ Sakura Haruno.

So like it says in the summary, this is going to be a love story between William and Sakura. Basically, in the "Braveheart" timeline, it would start after Murron has been killed and before William goes with the Scottish to fight the English at the battle of Stirling, while in the "Naruto" timeline, it would start after the Kazekage Rescue Arc (in Naruto Shippuden which would take place two-and-a-half years after Sasuke betrays Konoha and joins Orochimaru) and before the Sai And Sasuke Arc. Long story short, Tsunade sends Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi on a mission to guard and help William Wallace and his people (the Scottish) go up against the English as they (the Scottish and William) fight for freedom to which William becomes the temporary replacement for Sasuke in Team 7. After William wins the battle of Stirling with his fellow Scotsman, at that moment, Sakura (throughout the story) starts to fall in love with him (even though a part of Sakura will always love Sasuke). But unlike Sakura's fangirlish crush on Sasuke, I'm going to try and make Sakura not act like a fangirl around William. However, while Sakura is in love with William, her love for him is unrequited because he's unaware of her feelings for him and like in "Braveheart," William falls in love with (and has a love affair) Princess Isabelle. Whenever Sakura is around William (as she's falling in love with him) her heart races, and whenever he looks at her, she thinks he's going to kiss her because of her love for him. Sakura does act a little nervous when she's around William, but unlike Hinata (who passes out whenever she's around Naruto because she's in love with him; as of the current "Naruto" manga, she's not passing out when she's with Naruto), Sakura does not pass out whenever she's around William. Anyway, like I said before, William is unaware of Sakura's feelings for him until the day before his execution when Isabelle goes to visit him and he says the famous quote, "Every man dies. Not every man really lives." After Isabelle leaves William's prison cell, Sakura visits William and confesses her love for him as she shares her first and last kiss with William who tells her that he'll always be with her, and that even in death, he'll never leave her. Now I'm kind of having a bit of a problem. I'm not sure if this story will be told in first-person (as in the story would be told in Sakura's POV), or if it should be told in third-person. I think it would be kind of interesting if the story is told in Sakura's POV, but what do you guys think? If I do it in both first-person and third-person, then Sakura's narrations would be at the beginning and ending of every chapter. Well, the prologue would be told in Sakura's POV (point-of-view). Anyway, here's a short summary of the fanfic.

Summary:
Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura fight alongside William Wallace and the Scottish as they go up against the English and Longshanks (King Edward I) and fight for freedom. Meanwhile, Sakura starts to fall in love with William who has a love affair with Princess Isabelle.

Throughout the story, Sakura is sort of like a female companion to William. Also, when "Freedom" comes out, don't tell me, "Oh, the "Naruto" characters never showed up in "Braveheart" because the "Naruto" series wasn't out at that time." Yes, I am well aware of that, but please know that this is completely fan-made. I am eventually going to do a sneak peek at one of the scenes from the fanfic so you'll get to see what it will be like. So yeah. That's pretty much what's been on my mind lately. Well, I guess that's about everything. Be on the look-out for...

"Freedom," a "Braveheart" and "Naruto" crossover fanfic.

Coming soon...

Well, see you guys later. Bye! :D

(*Meanwhile, with Naruto and Sakura who are at Naruto's house...*)

(*Three hours later, Naruto and Sakura finish watching "Braveheart"*)

Naruto (*crying*): Why? Why did William Wallace have to die? (*cries while saying the word "why")

Sakura: Well, he was a real person.

Naruto (*crying*): I know, but it's so sad. He had so much to live for.

(*Sakura gives a friendly hug to Naruto who stops crying*)

Naruto: Hey! I know what my new catchphrase should be! FREEDOM!

(*Sakura facepalms*)

Sakura: I have a feeling you're going to be obsessed with that movie, aren't you?

Naruto: Next time we should watch it with Kakashi-sensei and Sasuke. Anyway, come on. Let's go get some ramen.

Sakura: Sure. Why not?

(*Naruto and Sakura leave the house and go to Ichiraku Ramen*)

Disclaimer:
I do not own "Braveheart" or "Naruto."

Sasuke: Hey. Will I be in the story?

Aerisuke (me): Sadly, no, Sasuke. You will not be appearing in the story, but you'll only appear in flashbacks. Sorry. :(

(*Sasuke groans*)

Aerisuke (me): It's not because I hate you, Sasuke. It's just that if you were in the story, then there would have been a love rectangle between you, Sakura, William and Naruto. (*to everyone else*) Also, I've been using Sasuke a lot in my fanfics, and I thought I might want to take a little break from it.

P.S. I kind of noticed that both "Braveheart" and "Naruto" have to do with war... except there are no ninjas in "Braveheart."
