Chapter 14

Disclaimer: I don't own Kickin' It.

"Ok, I'll admit I hugged her, but that's because she needed comfort. Kevin threatened her mentally and you know vampire manipulation screws with your mind after a mental attack."

"Yeah, I know; considering you did that to me." April said quietly.

"Hey, that happened once and I was in one of those moods." Jack defended himself.

"You were always in that angry mood." April whispered unconsciously.

Jack went silent for a moment before saying… "I know and I'm sorry for that."

"You know that won't change my mind about you and what happened those centuries ago." April whispered again.

"Yes, I know I may never be forgiven, but that won't stop me from trying. I do have eternity." Jack said softly.

That made April smile, and then she sighed. "You know what; I'll drop the stupid fight. I just let it go to my head. It was probably nothing and it caused me more stress than usual. I'll stop bugging you and Jerry."

Jack smiled. "Thank you."

April nodded and left without another word.

Jack sighed in relive and then followed April to the mess hall.

After dinner everyone went to their cabin and went straight to sleep after an exhausting day.

In the middle of the night, April heard footsteps coming toward her. She sniffed to see if it was a vampire.

"Nope, just Kim; she probably went to the bathroom."

Then she felt something poking her. It wasn't a finger. April sniffed again.

"That some pointy…wood!" April jointed awake.

She looked down and saw Kim looking back at her with a creepy smile on her face. She held the stake behind her back.

"K-Kim what'cha doing?" April said scooting away and backed into the wall.

"I've had enough of vampires. I'll kill them all, starting with you." Kim says creepily and started up the latter.

April used her speed and got on the ground. Kim looked behind herself and smirked evilly at April. Kim jumps off the latter, landing on her feet quietly. April looked at Kim and noticed her eyes were clouded over. It was like she was a zombie with a creepy smile.

"Kim, what happened to you when Kevin manipulated you?" April asked with a shaky voice.

"He made me watch all you die. Right now I'm fond of the idea of killing you." Kim walked wobbly toward April, like she was drunk.

"Something else happened. He did some type manipulation to get you like this."

"No! I just hate you now!" Kim exclaimed.

She started to run and tried to stab April, but she move out the way and stake went into the wall. Kim easily took it out and turned to April, who was a little scared.

Kim ran again, but this time she ran in an inhuman speed. April didn't see that coming, so Kim punched her in the face. April sped to the other side of the room, away from Kim. She clutched the side of her face.

"Why are you running I thought you were a big bad vampire?" Kim teased.

"How did you hit me that hard without hurting yourself?" April asked amazed.

"Who said I didn't hurt myself?" Kim held up her hand she punched April with and her knuckles were bleeding.

April's eyes widen.

"She can't feel pain. What the hell did Kevin do to her brain?"

Kim ran toward April again. April punched Kim as a reflex because she was still in thought. Kim only stumbled back a little.

"You should have gone flying." April said confused.

"I'm just a tad bit stronger. It's going to be way easier to kill you this way."

Kim raised the stake and tried to stab April again, but April took hold of the stake. She started to push it away but Kim put more force.

"God, she's way stronger." April thought, struggling to push the stake away.

April tapped into her vampire side and shoved Kim away. Kim fell, gripping the stake. April grabbed the stake and threw it to the other side of the room.

April grabbed Kim's wrist and got her up. She held her with a tight grip.

"What did Kevin do? Kim you have to remember or you might stay like this!"

"What if I like this side of me?! What if I don't want to remember?!" Kim exclaimed crazily.

"You have to remember. This isn't you!"

"Well this is me now!"

Kim kicked April in the stomach and she fell on her back. Kim kicked her again and April grunted in pain.

"Did I mention how much stronger she is now. Kevin did something in her brain and some rewiring in her muscles."

Kim ran and got the stake. She got back and April was gone. Kim looked around frantically.

"Where are you my little vampire?" Kim said in a predator voice.

April instinctively hissed in disgust. Kim looked up in the corner of the room. April was on the ceiling in the corner.

"Come on now. Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you."

"Yeah right. If you hadn't noticed you're holding a stake and I'm a vampire. FYI; vampires and stakes don't mix."

Kim laughed and said "Funny, but too bad all that humor of yours is going to be gone when you're dead."

April laughed too and said "Your funny too because, you see, I'm not going to die. If I die you die. Nobody else is going to bother to protect you, they'll skin you alive. If I were using my full strength right now, you'd be snapped like a twig by now."

"Sorry April. I have no idea what Kevin has done to her head. What she saw, I saw and there is no memory of him doing anything else to her. He has taken that memory away from her." Alyx messaged April

"Oh Alyx is that you? You can finally speak." April said out loud and Kim gave her a confusing look.

"Yep. Anyway how are we supposed to get Kim to remember? Kevin was the only one that could have given the memory back."

"I don't know yet." April messaged back.

Kim suddenly chucked the stake at April and April jumped to the ground. Kim rushed toward and April jumped to the side and got on top of her bed.

"What'cha gonna do? Hide under the covers?"

April growled.

"Alyx I'm sorry but I'm going to have to do this. She might actually kill me if I don't."

"I understand, but you should be saying sorry to Kim because her body is getting the impact."

April jumps off the bed and in front of Kim. Kim smirks.

"Are you finally coming out to play?" Kim asked creepy.

"Yes actually, but let's get this straight you're going to lose."

Before Kim could respond, April punched Kim in the face. Kim fell to the ground unconscious. Her nose was bleeding but she'll be alright. April picked her up and tucked her into bed.

"You know what…just in case."

April sped off and came back with handcuffs. She cuffed Kim's hands and went to bed, putting the key under her pillow.
