Chapter Fourteen

Atrocities

It was always pain; pain wracking through his body. Tears falling off his bloodied, bruised face as his killer drained the life away from him. Then, nothing. Everything was dark afterwards. Cold, silent darkness; an eternal slumber.

The other four that were with Isaac stood over the mound of ground that they had laid him in. A makeshift grave for the fallen. Wind blows through the Plains, ruffling the remaining fighters that were there as in the distance, countless booms and cries echo through the air. Storm cries over her brothers' grave, the tears being soaked up by the earth.

"Storm," Serena tries to say silently as the Subspace Cannon fires again, "Crying won't bring him back. We've got to stop those three from completely destroying This World."

"AND WHAT WILL?!" the warrior cries back, "TELL ME THAT, SERENA! WHAT'LL BRING BACK ISAAC?"

Toshiro tries to say something, but is kept silent. He looks into the distance, seeing the countless Subspace Portals being opened in the fabric of reality itself while holding Mazy's hand in a tight grip. The Spirit Weapon lets loose a stream of tears from his eyes, his face covered by his growing hair. He lets go of Mazy's hand and walks over to Storm, putting a hand upon the girls' shoulder. He kneels down to her head and cuffs her cheek. He whispers a few words into her ear and stands back up, unrelenting tears in his eyes. Storm's eyes widen in shock as she stands up as well.

"W-We can't let his death be in vain," Storm tries to say calmly, "We'll get those three…they will pay."

Within the Subspace Cannon, Primids buzzed everywhere, keeping systems in check and defenses to a maximum. Bowser inspects the creatures' work and smiles. He motions for a few Primids to attend to him, giving them silent orders. The creatures nod in understanding and disperse. Within the levels below, Ganondorf tends to the armies themselves, using his Dark Magic to enhance their capabilities and lessen their rates of failure. Ridley flies into view, landing beside the Warlock as Bowser stomps in from the shadows behind them. The armies salute to their generals as they begin to march out into the world. The Koopa's eyes widen as he takes out a black box from his shell. He opens it and a holographic image comes into view. The hooded figure that it represented looks at the three generals and gives off a smirk.

"The machine is ready…" the figure rasps, "Bring me his body. Ridley, I am sure you can handle this task."

"Yes, my lord," the dragon sharply hisses as he flaps his wings and flies away.

Ganon and Bowser look at one another, then towards the hologram.

"My lord," Ganon murmurs in a questioning tone, "What is this machine?"

The figure sighs and looks up at Ganon, "The machine can resurrect armies, if we are to have any major casualties. I need a test subject. The angel would suffice…"

Ridley arrives at the Plain, landing right over the grave. Quickly using his claws, he digs up the corpse, still very much stained with blood. The dragon lets loose a roar and impales the body with his tail, dragging it with him as he takes to the skies once more. The monsters' roar echoes through the distance and is heard by the four remaining fighters, all of them heading towards the destroyed Mansion. The sound hits Storm hard as she cringes and whimpers at the noise. Toshiro tries to comfort the girl who in turn pushes the Spirit Weapon away. He sighs as he takes his place beside his master once more as above them, Ridley flies at supersonic speeds, on his tail the dead body of Isaac.

The group gape as the dragon screeches in victory already a few kilometers away from them, nearing the Mansion. The four warriors dash towards the destroyed building, intent on stopping the monster. They reach a clearing and find Ridley being bombarded by bullets, shards of ice and obsidian daggers. Serena looks towards the remnants of the Mansion to find Aryl, Cloak, Ellen, Maddox and Akita doing their best to stop the dragon. Ridley screeches in retaliation and breathes out a stream of fire at the group, scattering them. The monster gives off a reptilian smirk and flaps his wings once again, dashing towards the Subspace Portal that lay where the Main Hall used to stand. The dragon enters, and reappears right within the Cannon. He screeches his arrival, landing within the Docking Bays to find the black cloaked figure waiting for him. The beast heels and bows down, his tail reaching out to the figure, on it the mutilated corpse of Isaac. The being smiles and holds out his hand, causing the body to disappear.

"An excellent job as usual, Ridley," the figure grunts, "You are dismissed now. Strategize our plans for the next wave of attacks with Bowser and Ganondorf within the Bridge. Do not disturb my efforts."

The Space Dragon growls in acknowledgement. "Yes, my lord."

Dark, it was all too dark, and so very silent. Then, light. And noise. The boy weakly opens his eyes, his entire body shaking. He looks up to see a hooded figure standing over him. The being smirks as taps upon the chamber the boy was suspended in. He walks over to a rack, and holds out an item; a very large sword. The boy could not hear, but his weak, blurred eyes could still see. He sees the figure talk, surrounding him the lifeless trophies of the Smashers.

Well I can see that the machine works…

The figure takes off his hood and cloak, revealing a familiar face. The boy's eyes widen as he struggles to move his limbs, but cannot. He looks down around him as he is suspended in a light purple liquid, floating completely naked in the substance. He looks at the figure with malice.

Now, now, Isaac. No need to be in such a terrible mood. After all, you should be the one thanking me. I brought you back.

Isaac looks away.

And I can send you back.

The figure smiles as he slides the sword he wields into the vat that suspended Isaac. The blade rips into Isaac's still weak flesh, going through his stomach and upwards. The purple liquid around him stains red as the figure keeps on dismembering the boy, slicing off his arms and legs. The being smiles sadistically and retracts his sword. He checks a monitor to see the boy's condition. He was dead, once again. The figure pushes a button and within the bloodied chamber, the purple substance begins to turn a bit darker, flushing away the crimson. He looks at the monitor once more to see that Isaac's body is starting to reform; his limbs, body and entrails beginning to shape themselves once again. He smiles as he returns his sword and takes out a large shotgun.

"Let the tests begin…" the being smiles.

Isaac looks back up, his body still in pain. He looks at his body to see it is intact once more. He stares at the figure as he fires his shotgun into Isaac's head, blowing it into pieces. The being pushes the same button once more, and Isaac's body is repaired. The angel grits his formed teeth as the being lets loose a mace to his side, cracking his ribs and spine, killing him once more. Once more the being pushes the same button and Isaac is revived.

"You can't do this!" Isaac mouthed from within the chamber as the being readies a spear.

"Oh Isaac," the figure retorts as he plunges the spear into the angels' heart, "I can if I wanted to, and I will. I have the power to do this for eternity."

A few moments later and Isaac is revived once more, tears starting to flow from his eyes.

"I'm sorry, okay?!"

"Like you mean that." A few daggers are shot into Isaac's chest and stomach.

"P-Please…"

"You showed no remorse when you broke me and my lover to benefit your tastes, why should I do the same?" A few more daggers are plunged into Isaac's body.

"I…I'm sorry for what I did."

"Oh please, like you expect me to believe you. Now take it like a man and die."

A final dagger is shot into Isaac's heart, killing him again. The being pushes the same button and revives the angel once more. He stares at the angel with crimson eyes and smiles, flipping some of his bangs to the side. He places his hand upon the glass that held Isaac.

"Now you may be wondering why I'm doing all this…"

"You just want me to die you sick bastard."

"No, that's not what I am talking about. I'm talking about the Subspace Cannon, the Primids, everything."

"You caused all of this!"

"Exactly. Now since the Silence have said that 'Death is the only solution; the Final Solution', I thought that they were talking about my Father, so I killed him."

"You're sick…"

"Call me what you want, Isaac. But what the Silence actually referred to was my own death. They laboured for sixteen years, creating a perfect warrior for them. Now they want me dead, after I have done my work for them."

"What?"

"Turning This World into Subspace, a world that is basically a dimension into the Silent Realms themselves. This World is connected to Subspace which in turn is connected to the Silent Realms. If I'm going to die, then might as well accept what I'm going to do."

"That's pathetic."

"I am not pathetic! I am the very essence of death itself!"

"Your father is…and he'll be more than a man than you'll ever be, Vincent Ryosuke."

A sword makes its way to Isaac's chest. Blood stains the purple liquid around him as Vincent pushes the button once more, reviving the boy. The Reaper roars in frustration and slams on the glass with his fists.

"The only reason you live like this is because I want to kill you if front of the world to see…for Toshiro to see. These are just test runs," Vincent growls, "You really think that you're so high up that nothing can touch you? Think again."

"Spreak for yourself, Vincent..."

Author's Note: SADISM! Yus! Uhm, yeah, I kill Isaac, revive, then kill and repeat. Vincent accepts his destiny, Subspace is all over the place...all we need now are Daleks. :D

Oh, and if you didn't get the memo last chapter, the Smashers are gone, remember? Like they've been turned into trophies and whatnot. Bowser's hatching a plan...perhaps he remembers what Ganon did to him last time?

Oh yeah, Isaac's naked! :P
