Jaune is pushed to the ground and groans in pain.

"You know that wasn't really smart Jauney boy!" Cardin told him before he picks him up by the neck. "I'm gonna make sure they send you back to mommy in Teeny tiny pieces!" He threatened.

"I do t care what you do to me. But you are not messing with my team." He told him in a very weak tone.

"What? You think talk like that makes you tough?! You think you're a big strong man now?" Cardin taunted.

Cardin roars and he punches Jaune's face only for a bright white light to flash. Cardin dropped Jaune and held his wrist to see the his hand began swelling. Jaune's on his knees as he looked down at his hands to see that a slim yellow barrier flow around him for a second. Cardin refused to give up though and quickly stomped back over to him. Sky kicked him in the back to knock him down on his stomach. Jaune looks back up at Cardin who was approaching him again and glares at him.

"Let's see how much of a man you really are..." Just as he says that a low a growl is heard in the distance. Team CRDL turns to see the large claws of and Ursa Major. It leaped over and stands over the horrified students. The beast suddenly raised his head up and smelled the sap of Cardin's breastplates and quickly got onto it's hind legs and roared at him.

"That's a big Ursa!" Russel panicked before he and the rest of team CRDL (except for Cardin) fled the sight. The Ursa swings at Cardin knocking him sideways to reveal Jaune cowering behind him. The beast continued to sniff showing that it's not interested in Jaune and goes after Cardin. He gets his wits and pulls out his mace but the Ursa quickly disarmed him with one swipe away and next to Jaune's feet who looked up deciding whether to fight or run.

*Teams RWBY AND JNPR*

The roar can be heard from the hilltop Ruby who's still cuddling with Weiss pops her head up. "Weiss did you hear that?" She asked nervously.

Suddenly the rest of team CRDL ran past the 2 teams. Russell screaming "Ursa! Ursa!" He bumps into Yang "what?!" She asks before she holds him up by the collar "where?" She asked.

"Back there It's got Cardin!" He told her pointing the the hilltop. Pyrrha dropped her jar

"Yang, you and Blake go get professor Goodwitch." She told them as their leader. Yang dropped Russell and ran with Blake to search for her. "You two go with them there could be more." Pyrrha told Ren and Nora. They quickly followed without another word. Ruby and Pyrrha then pulled out their weapons.

*Back to The Hilltop with Cardin, Jaune and the Ursa Major*

Cardin attempts to runaway from the Ursa but it leaps over him and claws him away. Cardin attempts to get up and crawl away

"Crap! Crap! Crap!" He yelled.

"Oh, no!" Pyrrha said upon making it to the scene along with Ruby and Weiss.

The Ursa leans over Cardin, raises it's paw and swipes it down... only to be blocked by Jaune's shield. Weiss got ready to attack the Ursa Major with her Myrtenaster but Pyrrha stopped her saying "Wait!"

Jaune pulled his shield away from the Ursa's paw and used his sword to slash it across his stomach. The Ursa lashed out and tried to crush him but Jaune rolled out of the way and jumps over it's swipe at his feet, but he struck by a claw in midair. He lands far away but quickly gets back on his feet. He passes. Cardin as he charges again. The Ursa countered the attempted leaping attack by knocking Jaune behind it. He looked at his Scroll in his shield to see that his aura was in the red zone. He grows angry and runs towards the monster. The Ursa did the same. The Ursa raised it's right claw to go in for the finishing blow. But Jaune used his shield to block it and the claw skidded along it. Jaune then leaned into the ground, pushed his shield back up, and decapitated the Ursa with the swipe of his sword.

"Oh my gosh he did it!" Ruby jumped happily.

"Looks like he does have a place at this school." Pyrrha added with a smile before she turned around to leave the scene.

"Wait, where are you going?" Weiss asked Pyrrha

"Yeah, we've got to tell them what happened!" Ruby added.

"We could... Or perhaps we could keep it our little secret." She suggested.

Jaune unsheathed his sword and helped Cardin up to his knees.

"Holy crap... Jaune?!" Cardin said completely stunned.

"Don't ever mess with my team - my friends ever again!" He threatened as he looked at him dead in the eye. "Got it?" Jaune told him

Cardin looked apologetic and intimidated by the his victim and now savior.

With that Jaune walked away knowing that Cardin would never bother him again after that.

*Team RWBY's dorm*

Yang and Blake are in their beds talking with Ruby and Weiss about everything that went down today. The lovebirds with once again sitting close with their legs roughing and their hands interlaced tightly. Ruby leaned again Weiss with the biggest smile Yang has ever seen from her.

"So What happened?" Blake asked

"Sorry we can't say." Ruby told her.

"We made a promise to Pyrrha but... I'm sure you figure it out eventually." Weiss added. She kissed Ruby on the cheek. Yang raised an eyebrow at the pair.

"Weiss... There's something we need to discuss... alone." Yang said to her. Weiss' heart skipped a beat. This is definitely about Ruby, isn't it? She thought to herself before she got up and the two walked outside and closes the door.

"Do they not like each other?" Blake asked confused.

"Oh No, they seem to get along. Yang's just a little... overprotective." Ruby clarified. She did her best to listen in on what they were saying.

"So, I've haven't seen Ruby this happy since her mother was alive. And you're the only person she likes to talk about." Yang revealed Weiss blushed. She really loves me that much?! She thought as Yang continued. "BUT! If I hear that you've somehow broken her heart I will-" Yang is interrupted when the door burst open and Ruby used her semblance to get in between the 2.

"Yang stop it! You don't need to tell her that!" Ruby shouted. Her eyes began to water a bit. Ruby wiped the tears from her eyes. "Doing that will only hurt us as a team!" Ruby said not as her sister but as her leader. "Ruby I... I'm sorry Weiss..." Yang apologized hanging her head down. "Yang... I forgive you. I understand how you feel. Trust me." Weiss told Yang. "It's just... I want Ruby to be happy..." Yang said. "But isn't she always?" Blake asked. Yang sighed realizing she was stressing over nothing. "Yeah you're right... I'm s-" Before Yang could finish the 4 got together and hugged it out. "This conversation never took place." Weiss told her upon breaking the hug.

*Rooftops*

Jaune is standing alone when Pyrrha walked up to him.

"No Cardin tonight? I thought you two were 'best buds.'" Pyrrha teased.

"Pyrrha... I'm sorry, I was such a jerk! You were only trying to be nice and I... had all this stupid macho stuff in my head." Jaune apologized.

"Jaune! It's okay!" The two smile at Eachother. "Your team really misses their leader, you know." Pyrrha told him as she walked towards the exit. "You should come down! Ren made pancakes! No syrup though - you can thank Nora for that!" Pyrrha said.

"Wait!" Jaune shouted to her Pyrrha turns around and Jaune looked sheepishly. "I know I don't deserve it after all that happened, but... would you still be willing to help me... become a better fighter?" Jaune asked.

Pyrrha turned around and walked over to Jaune before she shoved him making him fall on his butt.

"Hey!" He whined.

"Your stance is all wrong. You need to be wider to the ground." She evaluated before she offers him a hand which he accepts and is helped up to his feet he continues to hold onto her hand and grins. "Let's try that again." With that the 2 began coming up to this spot to train almost every night. Jaune began to make a noticeable difference during combat.
