Fury stared at them as they came back onto the TriCarrier. His eyebrow was raised
"Where's Ava?" He asked, seeing the boys stroll onto the ship with a angry defeated look. Peter yanked off his mask and looked at Fury, ruffling his hair up. He had an annoyed angry look in his eyes.
"She wasn't there." He nearly snarled, "TaskMaster was just the hired help."
Fury looked at them, his expression softening and twisting into one of his own mixed expressions of temporary defeat and anger. He looked at them all, so much work, so close and they didn't even find her.
"Do you know who his employer was?" Fury asked
"No." Sam says, rather short tempered at the moment. He had his jaw clenched, rather angrily.
"But we did get an address"Luke says "109 Roosevelt Street."
Fury nods, and looked at them all
"Rest up. Tomorrow Afternoon we're gonna check this place out." Fury says, giving them a no nonsense look that made them even forget about arguing.
Peter was standing on the top of the TriCarrier roof, looking out over the city. He felt this tight ball of frustration and disappointment nestled tightly in him. The only thing that made it even fade away, was the idea of Ava. Luke Danny and Sam couldn't distract him, their own frustration only fueled his own.
The web slinger sat on the edge, elbows on his knees, staring out at the city. His eyes studied every little bit of the earths surface below. He knew somewhere, down there, Ava was waiting. Somewhere, she was waiting, and he knew she wouldn't give up. That wasn't the Ava Ayala he knew. The Ava Ayala that was still a hero.
He was worried though, of what he would find. Ava was strong, but that didn't mean Ava would be left unscathed. For all he knew, Ava could be dead. But the moment that idea flickered in his head, his stomach got a heavy gut feeling, and he felt a scowl settle onto his features. An empty feeling, a ghost of true fear and sadness. He couldn't let Ava die... He could not ever let her die. He didn't realize he still had feelings for Ava.
Peter had always had feelings for Ava, since TaskMaster infiltrated the school. It was an unnoticeable crush at first, and he had no idea that their friendship took this kind of turn. His feelings had been disguised in an awe respect for her. He had no idea that he wanted to be close to her because he had fallen for her. He always thought it was so they were closer friends. Boy did he have himself fooled.
But now that he thought about Ava, her full lips, and beautiful dark brown hair. The way her eyes sparkled when she laughed and joked around with them, the thought of all those special qualities made his heart beat a bit faster, and a small warm fuzz fill his chest. Peter blinked, and looked at New York, a realization and acceptance filling him. He refused to believe Ava was dead, and he wasn't gonna wait any longer to give this creep the chance.
He stood and turned to his old wrist communicator. The clock function was currently shown, it was 3 am, there was still time.
"Guys. Meet me where the bikes are"Peter says and rushed inside the TriCarrier.
"What's wrong Pete?" Luke's voice sounded
"We're going to get our girl"Peter says and heard the guys running to meet him on the other end.
Ok... Now, for any readers who have Read my other story, I'm on writers block for that, I'm stuck, and I have ideas, but they also fall under a category like what ThatOneGirl is writing, the sequel of season two, and I also at the same time feel I may or may not have enough of an idea to create that kind of story. But I want to finish this one. I will write no new story until this is finished. But I need help and suggestions and help for this.
