Yo mina! How ya been!? Sorry it took awhile to update anything. Now, did ya like the last chapter? If not then I don't blame ya! Now we deal with more wind! Let's get this thing started!
Chapter 14: Wind Master vs Wind Fox
"Why is he still in the infirmary? He should be healed enough to be walking around." Naruto said as he walked to the infirmary with Hinata and the others.
"I know. It's odd that he wouldn't come to see us." Hinata said.
"Maybe he wanted to make sure Kasai was okay." Kenshi said.
"Really? I mean even after that fight I would think they're not on the best terms." Ino said.
"But Kaze is just that way." Yoruichi said.
"Whatever, we're here." Naruto said as he opened the door. What they saw shocked them. Kaze was laying on the floor, Kasai was in one of the beds, motionless, and Chikyū was on another bed looking like she was in pain. "Aniki!" He and Hinata went to check on Kaze while the others looked after the other two.
"What happened?" Hinata questioned.
'Naruto, don't touch him!' Kurma exclaimed as Naruto was about to see if the other was okay. He listened and didn't continue. 'Use a kunai or something and try to get it near him.' Doing as he was told, Naruto got out a kunai and brought it near Kaze.
"Naruto-kun, what are you doing!?" Hinata exclaimed, but stopped as they all saw what happened. The kunai was shredded. "Wh-what w-was that...?" They saw Kaze's eyes start to open. They all saw that his eyes were blank and he was staring off into space.
"Complete." He said win a monotone voice. Chikyū calmed down and was now sleeping soundly.
"Aniki!? Aniki! Oi, snap out of it!" Naruto said as he shook the other. Kaze gave a small jerk and blinked his eyes.
"Urg. Where am I?" Kaze asked as he slowly got up and held his head. He looked around and saw them all looking at him. "What?"
"What happened here?" Yoruichi asked.
"I don't remember. All I remember is bringing Kasai here then it went all black." Kaze said as he shook his head.
'There's something he's not telling us.' The older people thought.
"Oi, you guys better get out there. The next round is about to begin." A leaf shinobi said as he poped his head through the door.
"Okay, thanks. Like he said, we should get going. Especially you, Naruto. Your match is the first one." Tsukuyo said as they all got ready to leave.
"If it's fine with you guys, I'll stay here for a moment. I want to make sure these two are okay." Kaze said as he looked at the two girls on the bed.
"Fine. I'll stay with you." Yoruichi said.
"No, no. It's fine. It's not like I'll do anything to them." Kaze said. The dark skinned woman narrowed her eyes.
"Fine, but hurry up. You need to see Naruto's fight too." She said as they all left. When the door closed, Kaze released a deep breath and fell to the floor. He looked at his hands and saw that they were shaking.
'I need to get a grip. I made the choice when I decided to get them back for this.' Kaze thought as he tightened his hands into fists. 'I just need Hinata to beat her and I'll definitely beat him. I need to do this to help them and...and get Yagura back...' He said as he stood up. That's when the door opened and he saw Mizu walk into the room.
"Looks like you beat me to it. I was hoping to get to them first, but I guess when it comes to speed you and that blond bimbo are quicker than me. Oh well. I can see what state you're in and I can tell that since you did that you won't be able to beat Kaminari." She said as she checked on the two girls and found that their heartbeats were slow. She then looked at Kaze with a serious face. "If you think I'm going to lose to that Hyūga then you better think again. I'm not going to end up like this."
"I'll make sure you do. You and Kaminari...I'm going to help both of you." Kaze said. Mizu looked like she was pissed and glared at Kaze.
"By killing us again!? What the hell happened to you!? It's thanks to you that we ended up like this in the first damn place! If you didn't abandon us in the first damn place then we wouldn't have had to go through that!" She yelled.
"I don't even know what the hell I did! Why the hell do you all blame me for something I don't even know I did!? You just don't want to admit you were all too weak and couldn't handle it!" Kaze yelled. He then felt a jolt and fell to the ground while holding his chest. "AHHHHHH!"
"That's what happens when you do that." Mizu said as she looked down at him with emotionless eyes. She then walked out if the room. "What do you want?" She said as she passed by the hall.
"I want to discuss something with you." Kaminari said, coming from the shadows. This got the other's attention.
"I'm listening."
'It hurts...Everything hurts...' Kaze thought as he laid on the ground with tears streaming down his face and drool coming out of his mouth. 'I can't die here...I still need... to... help...'
"Oho. Look what we have here. If I remember correctly you are Number 0." Kaze looked up, but his sight was blurry. He couldn't make out who it was. "Don't try to move too much. I'll help you out so you can get rid of those last two failures, deal?" Kaze felt something go into his stomach and the pain that he was feeling was just as bad, if not worse, than the pain from before. He tried to let out a scream, but it was just muffled by the person's hand. "I can't believe we are actually going through with this plan. They actually got to you it seems."
"He'll still be alive after this, right?" Kaze heard another voice, but this one sounded like a female.
"But of course. We wouldn't want our first success to die now would we." The first one said.
"When this is all done you're going to give him to me, right?" The woman asked.
"Of course. We made a deal and I intend to keep it." The first one said.
"Good, cuz if you didn't...then I'd have to kill you." The girl's voice said in a sweet tone.
"And we don't want that, now do we? After all..." The guy looked down at Kaze, who was gasping for air. "Without him, we won't be able to play the game."
'G-game...?' Kaze thought before passing out.
'There's something wrong. His chakra seems different now. If I don't hurry up, then...I'll go faster.' Someone thought as they rushed through the forest. 'You can't die before I get to you.'
"Now our next match is about to begin! Will Uzumaki Naruto and Temari please come down here!" Genma said.
'Damn. We couldn't go see him during the break. We had to stay up here or we might have gotten in some trouble with Hokage-dono.' Mei thought with a dark aura around her.
"Um...Mizukage-dono...Is something the matter?" Hiruzen asked as he and the aides were shaking a little. She turned to him with a sweet smile, but the dark aura got even worse.
"I am perfectly fine. Thank you for your concern, Hokage-dono. I'm just a little disappointed that I did not get to meet such fine shinobi after their fight." She said as the aura came off of her in waves and smacked all of them. By now even the Raikage and Kazekage started to sweat a little.
"O-oh. W-well I'm sorry for that, b-but when this is over I'm sure you c-can go s-see them..." Hiruzen, trying to calm her down. It seemed to work as the aura recited. 'Phew. That was close.'
'He's still not here.' Hinata thought as she stood in the participants box and looked down at the field. 'Naruto-kun is about to start his match and Kaze-kun still isn't here. I'm really worried about him. Maybe I should go check up on him.'
"I know what you're thinking, and it's better you stay here and watch your boyfriend's fight. You shouldn't see the sorry state he's in." Mizu said as she walked next to Hinata and leaned on the railing.
"But he's my friend. I need to see if he's okay." Hinata replied.
"You should listen to her. Kaze is now a lost cause." Kaminari said as he leaned against a pillar.
"Why should I believe you two? Aren't you two against Kaze-kun?" The heiress asked. Kaminari just closed his eyes and Mizu glared into space. After a few seconds it was her who spoke up.
"At first we were, then he got us to thinking that we could trust him again, but...now we know that he can't be trusted. If you're really his friend then..." She turned her head to look at Hinata with seriousness on her face and a dark look. "Kill him now."
"Wh...what...?" Hinata stepped back in shock. "How can you say such a thing!? I would never kill one of my friends!"
"It's for the better that you do." They both turned to Kaminari who was now looking at the arena. "He's gone deep into a dark abyss right now and the only way to set him free is to kill him. At the moment, he only cares about three things. The first is killing Mizu and I and taking our powers for his own use. Second is that he wants to get someone back, even if they are dead."
"What...What's the third?" Hinata asked, completely shocked at what she was hearing. 'I don't want to believe this, but...I can tell that they are telling the truth...I can't tell Naruto-kun about this or-'
"The third is to destroy the facility we were reborn in, then most likely end his own life." Everything around Hinata froze as she heard the last part. "That's why he needs to be stopped, but now he is stronger and more deadly than before and the two of us can't stop him. The only way to stop him is for someone he trusts to kill him or for him to go against something as strong as a bijuu." Without anther word, Hinata ran out and quickly left the area.
"She can't do it. None of them can do it. You two knew this, yet you still told her." Gaara said, glaring down at the arena.
"We know that none of them can, but we just need him weak enough for one of us to deliver the finishing blow." Kaminari calmly stated. "It looks like they are about to start."
'Oi, kit, I have a bad feeling.' Kurama said.
'I know. I feel it too. It has something to do with aniki, huh?' Naruto thought as he stood at the entrance to the arena. Kurama just nodded and sighed. 'What are we suppose to do?'
'Let me out so I can go check up on him.' Kurama said. The blind just nodded and did some hand signs.
'I'll go too.' Minato said. After finishing the necessary signs, red chakra started to gather around his body then started to roll off of him and went to his side. It started to solidify and turn into a fox shape. When it was complete, a small fox was next to his feet. It had red fur with the tip of it's tail yellow.
"Man it feels good to be out again." The fox said.
'Yet I'm still in here.' Minato said in the fox's head.
"Oh shut up." The fox then looked up at Naruto. "We'll be going then. Make sure to win." With that the fox left.
'I'll leave it up to those two.' Naruto thought.
'Don't worry. Those two can handle whatever comes at them. Just try and focus on your fight.' Kushina said.
'Are you okay?' Naruto asked his mother.
'Yeah. I'm just worried about nii-chan too. I have a very bad feeling right now and it's making me on edge.' She answered.
'Like you said, let's focus of the fight and leave aniki to Kurama and tou-chan.' Naruto thought as he walked into the arena.
"You better focus on the fight, or I'll destroy you." Temari said as Naruto walked in front of her.
"Don't worry, my full attention will be on this fight." Naruto said, looking at his opponent.
"Are both of you ready?" Genma asked. They both gave a nod. "Alright then. HAJIMARU!"
"Kamaitachi no Jutsu!" She jumped back and blew out a gust of wind.
"Kaze no Bōei!" A wall of wind came up and the two clashed. Naruto got out some shuriken and threw them at Temari. "Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" The weapons quickly multipled.
"Hm. That's all? Weapons won't work against me!" Temari exclaimed as she pulled her fan back and released more wind. Naruto saw this and clapped his hands together.
"Fūton: Reppūshō!" Wind blew out of the blond's hands and went towards the shuriken. The shuriken started to move faster and were spinning more rapidly. The two clashed and the shuriken quickly cut through the wind. They headed straight for Temari, but she blew some wind out and quickly got onto her fan. "Kaze no Sanpo!" Naruto jumped into the air and extend his arms out. "Fūton: Kasukēdingu Tatsumaki!" A tornado came out of his outstretched hands and went for their target. Temari jumped off of her fan and barely dodged the attack. Naruto brought his arms down and the tornado quickly followed.
'Damn. I was hoping to save this for when I fight Kaze, but...' Temari pulled her fan back and closed her eyes as the tornado came down on her. Just as she was about to be hit by the violent wind, she opened her eyes and moved her fan. "Kaze Gaeshi!" Just as the tornado was about to hit her, it suddenly went back up and curved so that it went for Naruto.
'What!?' Naruto quickly stopped the jutsu and try to fly higher into the air. The tornado went under him, but he started to wobble. 'The wind front he attack is messing with my jutsu!' He thought as he started to fall to the ground.
"Fūton: Hokori Tatsumaki!" He looked down and saw Temari let out another gust of wind, but this one carried dirt from the ground and was headed for him. He moved to the side, but was still slightly hit by the attack and his arm had cuts on it. He winced then saw another one going for him.
"Kaze no Bōei!" Another wind wall came up, but couldn't handle all of the attack and some of it hit Naruto, sending him higher into the air. He opened his eyes to see Temari coming down on his with her fan held back.
"Fūton: Kamaitachi no Jutsu!"
"Fūton: Daitoppa!" A gust of wind shot out of Naruto's hands and sent him flying to the right, making the attack miss. The two landed on the ground and Naruto started panting with cuts on his body. 'Damn!'
'You're still not focused on the fight, dattebane!' Kushina yelled in her son's mind.
'I know! I'm still worried about aniki.'
"Are we almost there yet?" Kurama asked as he ran through the halls.
'We just left like a minute ago. It's not going to atomatically be right there, you know.' Minato said.
"Huh? Kurama?" The fox looked up to see Hinata looking down at him. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, Hinata. Minato and I were on our way to look for Kaze." The fox said as Hinata picked him up.
"I was going to do the same thing. He didn't come back to the booth and I heard some stuff from Mizu-san and Kaminari-san. I'm really worried about him." The heiress said as she started to run again. She went on to explain what she was told and the other two understood why she felt the way she did.
"That definetly is something to be worried about." Minato said to Kurama. That's when they stopped, snapping the two out of their thoughts. "What's going on?"
"Hinata, what's wrong?" Kurama asked. He looked ahead and saw what she saw. Kaze was walking towards them from the shadows of the hall.
"There is something off with him." Minato said. True to what he said, Kaze had his hood up and had a dark look on his face. His eyes looked more dull and a dark aura was radiating off of him. Both Hinata and Kurama froze as he walked closer. Hinata visibly gulped at seeing him.
'What...What is this p-pressure coming o-off of him...?' She thought as he past by them.
"What are you doing? Don't just stand there. We have to see Naruto's fight." Kaze said as he continued to walk. The two snapped out of their thoughts and followed behind, albeit slowly and quit a distance away.
'It is definetly Kaze-kun, but...for some reason...I feel scared...' Hinata thought.
'Something is off.' Yoruichi thought as she straightend slightly.
"Yoruichi-san, is something wrong?" Kurenai asked, seeing the other female tense up. This got the others' attentions.
"No. Not really. I just got a shiver for some reason." She said as she got up. "I'm go check on something. I'll be back before the match is over." She said as she started walked up the stares.
"I need to use the restroom." Tsukuyo said as she followed. When they got to the top they started talking. "So what's going on?"
"I have a very bad feeling right know. I didn't see Kaze in the booth. I'm going to go look for him." She said, getting a nod.
"I'll go too." The two started to walk away.
"What's wrong? You're acting different from your first fight." Temari said as she let out one wind attack after another.
'Pay attention to the fight.' Kurama said. Naruto jerked his head. 'We found Kaze. We're on our way to the booths right now.' Naruto let out a sigh and looked at Temari. He gave a smirk and threw a kunai at her.
"That's all you got!?" She sent more wind, but before it connected she saw that a paper bomb was attached to it. Dust flew into the air as the bomb went off. She used her fan to blow the wind away and saw that Naruto wasn't there. "Where did he-?" She was cut off when she brought her fan up to block a kick from Naruto. She pushed him back and quickly got her fan ready for another attack.
"Kaze no Suteppu!" He was gone again and appeared in front of her, giving her a kick to the gut. She flew back, but used her fan to stop herself from going an further. He threw another kunai with a paper bomb on it. Temari jumped back as it exploded. "Fūton: Daitoppa!" She looked up to see Naruto let out a blast of wind from his hands and head for the fire made by the bomb. The fire quickly spread around the arena. Temari took to the sky again.
'How can I be at a disadvantage when it comes to wind!?' She thought. She saw a shadow come down on her and looked up to see Naruto falling down.
"Shunkō!" She folded her fan up and blocked the attack. The two fell to the ground and and dust flew into the air. They felt a burst of wind and looked on in shock. Temari was on her knees with her fan, which was now broken, next to her while Naruto stood in front of her.
"Proctor." Genma looked at Temari. "I give up." She said with frustration evident in her voice.
"The winner of the match is Uzumaki Naruto!" Genma called out as the cheers started up again.
"Nice match." Naruto said as he stuck his arm out. After a few seconds, Temari grabbed it with a sigh and stood up.
"Yeah. You better watch out though. Your next match is either against your girlfriend or another Element." Temari said as she started to walk away. "Good luck."
"He won again!" Kiba exclaimed.
"But why did she give up? She didn't seem too injured." Ino asked.
"Because her fan was broken." They all turned to Kakashi. "Since she used all of her jutsus using her fan, she knew she couldn't fight back as hard without it. So she gave up."
"Oi, does anyone know where Tsukuyo-san and Yoruichi-san are?" Haku asked, looking around. "They haven't come back yet."
"Sorry guys, we just wanted to make sure some things were fine." Yoruichi said as the two took their seats.
"So are those things fine?" Sakura asked.
"More or less." None of them pushed the subject any further.
"It looks like Mizu gets to fight another genin from a strong and well known clan of Konoha." Mei said.
"Yes. I can assure you that this child is more...patient than the other." Hiruzen said.
"She is from the Hyūga clan, correct. Yet another disadvantage like the last one." The female kage said.
"Yeah, but this one knows long range attacks and when it comes to speed, Kaminari is definetly faster." A said.
"Well we won't know who will win until the fight is over." Hiruzen said.
"Aniki! Hinata! Did you see how awesome I was!?" Naruto exclaimed as he ran to the booths. He felt something go through him as he stopped.
"Calm down, Naruto." Kurama said from inside his mind.
"Yes. Good work." Kaze said calmly as he looked down at the arena. Hinata snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him with a smile.
"Ah. Yeah. Great job, Naruto-kun." She said.
"Will the next two competitors come down here!" Genma called out.
"Tsk. She's still here to fight..." Mizu said.
"If you have something to say then say it. Stop mumbling." Kaze said, looking back at her. All of them saw the dark look he was giving her and started to sweat, some more than others.
"It's nothing..." She said.
"Then hurry up and get down there. People are getting impatient." Mizu just clicked her tongue and jumped down.
"...I'll be going too..." Hinata said as she started to walk down the stairs.
"Is something the matter?" Kaze said as he looked back down at the arena.
"Ah. N-no. It's nothing. Just thinking to myself." Naruto said as he also looked down. 'So that's what happened?'
'Yeah.' Minato answered back.
"Looks like you didn't take our advice." Mizu said as she stood across from Hinata. "It will be your downfall." She said.
"He is still my friend. I wouldn't kill him." Hinata said.
"Are you two ready?" Genma asked. They both nodded. "Good. Now. HAJIMARU!"

And there you go. Finally an update for those rare people who actually read this. Sorry if the fight sucked (again), but this chapter wasn't really suppose to revolve around the fight. Well until whenever, see ya!
