Happy Easter everyone! Once again, I apologize for not updating earlier. The last few months have been an emotional rollercoaster for me and finding the motivation to write wasn't coming easily.
I would like to thank all those who have reviewed and favored, it truly means a lot! Thank you! :)
Dave had just arrived in the bullpen when Hotch came out of his office looking grim. ''Dave, we got a problem'' he said as he stopped in front of him. Dave suddenly got a gut feeling, one that had to do with the woman he had left this morning. ''Garcia called in, someone was in your house'' he said but before he could explain more, Dave was running out to his car with the team following.
They arrived at his house in a few minutes, having broken a few laws on the way. Morgan's car was already in the driveway, along with a few police cars. He ran up the stairs, ignoring the calls of crime scene investigators. He heard agitated voices coming from his bedroom and made his way there, too worried to listen to the angry voices calling after him.
Garcia stood by the bathroom door, she had been crying. Mudgie was at her feet against her legs, growling when Morgan got too close. ''Cara'' he whispered. She immediately turned at the sound of his voice and ran to him with fresh tears in her eyes.
He held her tightly as she cried softly, clutching him as if her life depended on it. ''Oh Dave, I was so scared! I didn't know what to do, I was stuck in the bathroom and if it weren't for Mudgie, I'd be dead. Oh, and Mudgie got hurt, and he's gotta go to a vet and he was such a good boy!'' she frantically said, trying to get everything out at once.
Dave looked down at Mudgie, who was indeed slightly whimpering. He bent down, ''come here boy'' he said gently. Mudgie made his way slowly to Dave with his head bent slightly. Dave petted him, ''you've been a good boy, Mudge. I'm proud of you boy'' he whispered as he petted him tentavely, not knowing how much he'd been hurt. Mudgie whimpered when he passed a hand over his ribs.
Getting up, he gently grasped Garcia's waist and pushed her towards the door and away from the scene with Mudgie following them. He got in his car and drove off to his usual vet, where he dropped off Mudgie, telling him they'd see each other soon. He then drove to Little Creek, calling Hotch on his way. ''Yeah, I'm taking Garcia away for a few days until this guy is caught'' he said.
''Take care of her, Dave'' was all Hotch said before hanging up. Dave grasped Garcia's hand gently, brought her hand to his mouth and kissed the knuckles gently. His heart was beating faster than a bullet, and he was more scared than he wanted to admit. The CSU team had found a gun at the scene, and he feared what could of happened. He was more than glad that the gun hadn't been used, especially on his dog who was now at the vet due to broken ribs, it could of been worse, a lot worse.
He looked over at his love, and sighed with relief. He was more than happy to have her still with him, but the fact that he could of had lost her wasn't lost on him. It haunted him even. He vowed to himself that he would show her how much he loved her once they got to his cabin.

After Rossi left with Garcia, Hotch and the team went through the apartment. It was a close call for one of their own, again, and they didn't enjoy it, especially since it was Garcia. She was a big part of their team and they didn't want to lose her.
They found blood in the bedroom and down the stairs leading out the door, which was left open, nothing had been displaced. Looking through the keyhole, they found that it had been picked. What really bothered them though, was the gun. Funny enough, when they entered the information in their computers, the CSU team had found that the gun had been reported missing that same morning, about half an hour after the attacker went after their team member.
''Something about this doesn't feel right'' said Morgan as he looked around the room. ''What's bothering you?'' asked JJ in confusion. Morgan shook his head and walked around a bit before turning back towards the team who waited for him to talk. ''This gun was reported missing 30 minutes after the attack'' said Morgan.
Hotch raised an eyebrow, ''from Quantico to my place, it's a 30 minute drive'' stated Morgan. As always, Reid was the first one to catch on, ''your thinking that the attacker went home and called to report a stolen gun to cover his tracks?'' clarified Reid. Morgan nodded, ''it makes sense''.
The team nodded, ''Alright. Morgan, you're coming with me. We're gonna check out the report. JJ, Reid, Prentiss, go through Garcia's stuff. I'm starting to think it could be a stalker. Go through pictures and follow leads if there is any. I wanna know where she went, who she went with, and if there is any people hat sticks out'' The team voiced their agreements and started to do their assigned tasks, wanting to catch this bastard before he did something that would destroy their family.

A knock on the door broke his reverie. He looked through the blinds and swore as he saw two FBI agents he'd seen with his Sweetheart before. Taking a calming breath, he opened the door, ''Hello. May I help you?'' he said with a small smile.
The two agents showed their credentials, ''Agents Hotchner and Morgan, FBI. Are you Allen Cole?'' asked the lighter man, the one with the glare. He nodded, ''Yes, I am. How may I help you?''
''May we come in?'' asked the darker one. He moved aside, letting them in and then closed the door, taking another calming breath. ''How may I help the FBI?'' he asked with a smile.
''You reported your gun missing this morning at 9:45 am? Is this correct?'' asked the taller man. He nodded, ''yes. I don't understand why the FBI is involved in a stolen gun report'' he said, trying to get information out of them.
The two men shared a look, ''the gun was used this morning on a home invasion on an FBI employee'' stated the darker man. He faked a look of horror, ''oh my, I hope she is alright'' he said and mentally slapped himself at the small slip up, hoping they didn't catch on, but the narrowing of the taller one's eyes, he knew the agents had caught it.
''What makes you say it's a HER, Mr. Cole, and not a HE?'' asked the taller one, with a slight menacing tone. He shrugged, ''I don't know really. I'm guessing it's a Her but your right, it could be a He''. He moved towards the kitchen, ''would you like something to drink?'' he asked innocently.
The agents shook their heads, ''Mr. Cole, where were you this morning between the times of 8:30 and 9:45?'' asked the tallest one. He looked over at them as he slowly sipped his coffee, ''I was here, asleep. Woke up at 9:30 and found my gun missing. Went through my things and when I couldn't find it, I reported it'' he answered as he'd rehearsed it.
The two agents looked at each other and then nodded at him, ''thank you for your time Mr. Cole. We'll be in touch'' said the darker one and they both left.
He watched them leave and once they had left, he threw his cup against the wall. He had figured that he'd be able to fool them but there was something about the dark haired agent, Hotchner was it? that made him edgy. He saw right through him and it unnerved him.
He went down to his basement and swore as he paced. He looked at his Sweetheart on the wall. He was going to find a way to get her away from that creep, he was going to show her how much he loved her, even if it meant taking her far away from here. And the next time somebody was going to stand in his way, they would end up on the autopsy table.
So what do you guys think? Please leave a comment, it does wonders to my self-esteem! :)
