There was a loud noise as I woke up, engines were roaring. Even though I hadn't opened my eyes, I knew where I was. We were in the jet. The familiar scents of the avengers assured me that they were okay. Thor's scent was there too, and his voice, which was much more noticeable. By the sound of it, he was fine. Clint was steering the plane with Natasha co-piloting, their scents were less strong than the others' scents.

Despite that, something was off and I couldn't figure out what exactly. Sniffing, I noticed that someone's scent was a bit off and noticed with surprise that it was my own, which must mean that whatever was wrong had to do with me. I did feel uneasy, uncomfortable, not nauseous or anything, but something was definitely wrong. I wanted to throw it on the events that occurred today tired and sore in other words, but that wasn't fully it. Something else was wrong. Maybe I could ask Bruce? I tried to open my eyes and noticed with confusion and slight fear that I couldn't get them to open. My mind was also very fuzzy, I tried to follow the conversation the avengers were having, but could only catch snippets. I realised that panicking wouldn't help, so instead I focused on trying to sleep whatever I had off and before long I felt myself slip away again.

When I woke up, it was to someone shaking my shoulder. I grumbled and tried to move away since it was quite irritating, but the hand didn't seem to give up. Annoyed I opened my eyes to see Tony grinning and looking down at me "back in the land of the living, are we?"

I mumbled something not exactly polite but too soft for him to hear anyway and moved to sit up. My muscles protested a bit, but I paid them no mind. Other than a bit soreness I felt completely fine. Maybe I had imagined what had happened earlier, the weird smell was gone and I felt

fine. I looked around me and noticed that the avengers stood around me, eyes on me. I was confused and wanted to ask what had happened, but as I opened my mouth to speak up Steve guessed my intention and shook his head. "Let's first get inside, we'll discuss what happened there." I nodded. The hatch opened and I can't believe that I didn't even notice that the motor was off and that we had actually already landed. However, we were on the helicarrier so that at least explained the plane noises. As the others began to walk I stood up and took a step. However, instead of walking I stumbled into Tony as my knees buckled. "Wooh easy there kid" Tony said as he caught me. "You okay?" he asked. "Yeah" I nodded " not completely awake yet it appears" I said as I gave Tony a sheepish smile, hoping he'd buy it. There was no way that I had been too asleep, something was definitely very wrong. However, Tony seemed to believe me as he chuckled and told me "ladies first".

I made a cautious step, testing the waters so to say. A small pain shot up from my ankle as I did so but I masked it well enough, other than that I appeared to be fine and started down the ramp. Tony and I made our way to the living room where the others had already settled. I was grateful when I could sit down on the couches but the unease stayed. Nat was the first to speak up "so you knew the man who talked to you at the end. How do you know him?" I raised my brow in confusion. Nat seemed to understand the silent question and continued "Bruce told us what happened and that the man said that you had met before."

I nodded as I thought back, that was indeed true. "Yes, I met him before, but there is something that bothers me." I told them. "I know the man because he was the guy who showed up here while you were called away on that mission and when JARVIS was hacked. The weird thing is that I have only met him once, but he specifically told met that we had met twice. He also seems to know quite a lot about me. He knew my name and he knew that I …" I trailed off as I felt a sharp pain in my head. A sudden headache came up and my head started pounding. "Accalia?" Clint asked, "you okay?"

I wanted to answer him and opened my mouth, but closed it as the headache grew even worse. Something moved in front of me and my instinct told me to move away. However, there wasn't anywhere to go as I was sitting in the couch. The body in front of me began to talk to me, but I noticed in dismay and alarm that I couldn't make any words out. Someone grabbed my shoulders and began to shake them, first softly then with more desperation. There was too much noise around me and it worsened my headache. On top of that the person in front of me was trying to pry my hands away from my face, when had I even moved my hands?

I noticed another touched and flinched, but as the hand began to rub soothing circles I soon started to relax the tiniest bit. Someone shouted then and I cowered and even whimpered at the loudness of it. However, it did have the desired effect, all the noises around me stopped until only the blood pumping in my ears was left. After a while of total silence I noticed that I could smell again, when had that disappeared? I could make out the person in front of me as Bruce, but the other scents were still too mixed up.

I concentrated on the smells and began to slowly and structurally identify them. It helped a lot as the headache finally started to lessen. Slowly, the world stopped spinning and my hearing began to return. Someone was talking softly, asking me questions, but I could only make out parts of them: are …. please? … where … pain … I took slow and deep breaths for a while. Finally I tried opening my eyes, first seeing only blurs, but eventually I could make out Bruce's face. Something moved in the background however, making me cower and earning a sharp reprieve from Steve? I wasn't sure. I turned my attention back to Bruce and followed the movement of his lips as he told me to only focus on him and forget the world around him. He kept talking to me in a soft, even voice as slowly but steadily everything was returning to normal.

Bruce noticed the change as a small smile appeared on his lips. "Okay now?" he said in a very soft voice. "Yes, I believe so" I answered shakily. "What happened kid, you gave us quite the scare" Tony said as he approached. I flinched at the sudden movement but adapted fast enough. "I'm not sure" I answered him "I have never experienced that before in my life" I said "never hope to again either actually." I said as an afterthought. Steve was still rubbing my back and whispered "it's okay, you're fine now. Relax." I did as he said and took a few uneven breaths. It took me a while to notice that I was trembling, but for some reason I could not stop.

Suddenly my eyes flew open as I visibly tensed. The others noticed my distress, but right now I couldn't care less. I looked at the door that had just opened and the person who walked in with a confident stride and an oh so sickening smile. It was him. The others followed my eyes soon enough and suddenly several guns were raised. The man didn't even so much as flinch however and continued walking until he stood in the middle of the room, eyeing me in a strange way, as if he was satisfied at something he saw in me.

"Stop right there!" Nat yelled. "Who are you and how the hell did you even get in in the first place?" "Manners are apparently overrated these days" the man said with mock disappointment, never breaking eye contact with me. "I'm simply here because I promised my girl I'd visit" he said with a wink. "As to how I got in, on the day that I broke in and implemented a virus in YARVIS's hardware I put a little technology of my own in there, which made me be seen by JARVIS as a avengers member, meaning full clearance to all the rooms. But enough chitchat, I'm not here for idle talk but to take my darling on a little adventure." He said.

Tony stepped in front of me, blocking his view of me "you even try to come near her and you'll regret it for the rest of your days." he threatened. "Enough of this" Steve said and started walking towards the man, clearly intending to take him somewhere else. "I wouldn't do that if I were you" the man said, "at least, not if you want to stop the headaches."

"You did this to her? What did you do? Undo it right now" Thor almost yelled, clearly trying to contain his anger. The man suddenly sucked breath as he seemed to have realized something "you do not remember me, do you?" he asked me, sidestepping so he could look past Tony. "I do" I told him, "you just said that yourself, you broke in here and that's when we met." I told him, confused that he did not seem to realise this. "Yes" he chuckled "that is true. However, it was not the first time we met. Do you not remember your best buddy?"

A memory from long ago flashed before my eyes. I was 10 years old. My parents were in the living room talking to someone, they didn't have people over a lot, but usually when they did it had something to do with experiments on me. I wasn't wrong about that this time either. My father called me after a while and I walked in. There was a man there, who seemed very interested in me as soon as I had stepped into the living room. "This is Henry." Father said as he introduced him to me. The man beckoned me forth and kneeled down as I stood in front of him. "We are going to be best buddies, you and me." He told me as he smiled at me. What had ensued had only been terrible and painful experiments.

I slowly looked up at his face as I realised it was the same man. "Henry" I breathed. "There we go" Henry said enthusiastically, as if he was actually proud I had remembered his name. "Now you remember, don't you?" he asked. I nodded slowly. "Good, that makes things easier." He started to make his way over to me but was stopped by Steve's hand on his chest. "Ah" he said, looking down at the hand on his chest as if it was a mere inconvenience. "You might want to step aside, I do not wish to harm any of you. I'm simply here to bring Accalia along for an adventure."

"Yeah no way in hell that that is happening 'buddy' " Clint said as he stepped in front of him as well. Henry simply shrugged "your choice, but I did not think that you would want her to suffer another one of those headaches." He checked his watch "the next one starts in 20 seconds, so make up your mind quickly." Clint looked taken aback by that "you're bluffing" he said after a short silence. "Come on, let's take him in" Thor moved and grabbed his arm as Clint took the other.

They had walked three steps when Henry said "zero" and I whimpered as I felt the sharp pain from before. "Son of a bitch" Clint swore as he turned around and saw that Henry wasn't bluffing. "It's fine … guys. I … can … handle it." I said through gritted teeth. I didn't know what was happening, but heard a lot of arguing, I was too distracted by my pain to notice anything else until my chin was lifted by two fingers and I looked into the eyes of Henry. "Help her" I heard Tony almost gruffly command and almost beg him. He grinned as he very took out a bottle. "Sweet dreams" he whispered as he held the bottle under my nose. The scent was like nothing I had ever smelt before and within a few seconds my eyes were closing and I knew no more.

Well it has taken me a while (an entire year) to update, but well, tadaaaahh here goes. I'm not even going to try and apologise for this way too late update (I'm a so humbly and very sorry for not updating so long) so since I will not do that I will only leave you with enjoy! and a promise that the next update will not take so long (shouldn't be too impossible)
